My husband and I visited here with our then 4 year old daughter. The castle and grounds are like something from a fairytale. The staff are SO nice, and the rooms are amazing. Spacious, well equipped, comfortable, quirky, clean and beautiful. Although it was too cold to use the freshwater outdoor pool I imagine it would be amazing in summer...

We were booked here for 6 nights in December. The weather was sunny and in the 50s. We had a 2 bedroom apartment in the servants' quarters and when we walked in at 3 in the afternoon, the heaters were on but he place was freezing cold. It was very dark inside and had just a few bulbs for lights....

Loved this castle! I actually stayed here in April 2015 but just now writing the review. The views around this castle are breathtaking. We enjoyed our room very much and had plenty of hot water. Two of our couple friends stayed in different rooms and did not have hot water. I am sure they would move you if you asked....

We stayed for five nights in late November. It was not crowded, the apartment was very nice, and the staff was terrific. This is a twelfth century castle that has been updated nicely. They offered free wi-fi. We had a two bedroom apartment (two couples) that was comfortable and convenient. It had a small kitchen, a dining room/sitting room and...

Castle was very cool. We stayed in the out buildings which was nice but would have preferred a room at the castle. We got a private tour of some of the castle and that was neat, wish we would have been able to see more of the castle. Staff was great and very helpful. We were a little confused as...

I was in a group of 6 women traveling to Tuscany for a 50th birthday celebration. Castello Montegufoni was our home base for 5 days. We were in two apartments that provided plenty of room for all of us. Accommodations are a bit rustic, but it's a castle...not a hotel. The rooms are not air conditioned so when the weather...

Rustic, beautiful scenery. Don't expect hotel like service. It's do it yourself. Can pay for a maid if you want. No A/C but didn't need it. No TV, No Phone, No microwave in apartment. Does have a stove, sink, small fridge, as well as everything you need to cook full setup of dishes, and pots. No coffeemaker. Wi fi was...

Live like royalty...at least the castle part anyways! Both my wife and I were in love with this place. We went for our honeymoon and it was perfect. We stayed in room tower 2, or torre 2. The room was beautiful, rustic and friendly. We had a wonderful large private balcony we used for reading and meals. The apartment was...

Our family of 6 stayed for 5 nights in an authentic Tuscany Villa Castle. Complete with turrets, arched ceilings, fresco's and castle ground. Apartments are spacious, grand and authentic. Views of surrounding countryside are breathtaking. Very convenient for Florence. We had an amazing dinner in Castle restaurant. Highlight of our Europe trip was this accommodation

We got recommended to stay here after our parents visited last year. They worded us up about the mosquitos- bring spray. The aircon- portable fan in room. The resturant closing randomally and you getting stranded- hire a car, there are small towns 1km away but closest supermarket is 10km. The resturant was delicious and reasonably priced. We were disappointed when...
