We had such a great time in this cosy little town. A stop on our drive down the coast. It was cool and windy weather but the Hotel was nice and warm and very inviting. The food was of a very good standard. Make sure you get there early as they can run out of options.

Worth upgrading to an ocean view room, as you can sit out on the balcony, they even have a small sauna! Staff are really friendly and cooked us food even though the attached pub was not open the night we arrived. The staff (Cindy) took the time to talk and tell us loads if interesting stuff and travel tips!

We loved everything about our stay here! From the matching robes and slippers to the breakfast scones and coffee delivered on a silver tray in the morning, to the dinner and hot breakfast we enjoyed downstairs, everything was phenomenal! The staff was sweet and wonderful and they threw in complimentary glasses of champagne for us because it was our honeymoon! Nice place, nice people, fantastic coffee + scones outside our door in the morning (followed by the "real" breakfast)...what's not to like? A great alternative to the busy scene in Mendocino or Ft. Bragg.

The Hotel itself is really nice, lovely and clean rooms, the staff is very friendly and the Food is simply outstanding for a small village. In fact i ate worse for far more money in "hip" Locations in large cities. The wine list is also quite nice given the size of westport. Only downside is the noisy kitchen. The van...

I was on my way home from a long trip and this place was just what the doctor ordered. I arrived on a Saturday afternoon in time for afternoon tea and a pair of humpback whales putting on a show for us in the dining room that we could clearly see through the windows. Nearby cove is within walking distance...

Great view! Westport a little town a few miiles from where Highway 1 hits the Pacific Coast. The hotel is right next to the road. There was almost no traffic after sundown when I was there (mid August). The view is stunning: from the front you can see a meadow and then the ocean. There are no buildings in front...

We relied on Trip Advisor to find us a place to sleep and eat north of Fort Bragg on Highway 1 and they delivered. This beautifully restored cozy, clean and charming little historic hotel set us up with a second floor room with an ocean view. Armed with a cold beer from the Old Abalone Pub on the first floor...

A last-minute trip meant all our possibilities in Fort Bragg were full up, so we went a little farther afield and found it a half-hour drive further up one of the more fantastic parts of Highway One. Since we wanted to stay for three nights, we were given Room 1 for two nights and then moved to another room on...

Dear Magdalena, We appreciate your candid constructive criticism and are taking measures to install an automatic timer in the hallway so that the light does not bother guests if a staff member neglects to turn it off at the end of a shift. The Westport Hotel is essentially a restored 1890's 'roadhouse' with all the quirks and old charm you...

My husband and I recently took a road trip and made it a point to stay at the Westport. The staff could not have been nicer. The room was spotless and the view was to die for. We stayed in Room 1. Cocktails in our room on the balcony, a short walk to the beach, then sauna and a shower....
