Main issue I had with my stay is the HVAC broke. They sent out an engineer and he did some work on it but could not fix it. He let me know that the front desk would be in contact shortly to find me a new room, as he had to rip apart the HVAC system. I was okay with that and waited for the call from the front desk. Nothing. And no one ever came back to fix my HVAC. It was a cold, rainy week I was at WLV Inn and the heat would have been helpful. I froze for two nights in a row and also could not really take a shower without shivering upon exit from the shower. I've stayed at this property many, many times since 2004 (my company is in WLV) and this is the only time I've had a bad experience. Will stay somewhere else next time...

Check-in was very poorly managed. We brought all of our bags to the front desk and were then told we would have to drive to a different part of the hotel where our room was located and that we would have complimentary valet parking there. We got to the valet parking stand and were told that they were not the hotel’s valet service and couldn’t valet our car. It was all very confusing and we ended up having to park our car in the valet lot and walk quite a distance to our room. There were several gates we had to pass through which required key cards to open which was inconvenient as we were lugging all of our luggage. Apart from check-in, the steam function in our shower didn’t work and the mini fridge was turned off which we didn’t discover until a day after we had put food into it. The ambience and physical facility was top notch but the check-in and disfunctionality of room amenities really soured our stay.

Was there for a business event. Grounds were great. Room was small, not very clean. Dated furnishings, very dated bathroom, cheap toiletries. Food was bad and very overpriced, both breakfast and lunch. Event food was particularly bad - tough, overcooked, unimaginative. Evening drinks were cut very short even though the outdoor bar was rocking.

Brilliant hotel and spa. Really good gym facilities and pool. Nice rooms looking onto golf course. Private and quiet at night with parking outside each group of rooms. Would recommend for location. 30 mins to Malibu Beach and 45-60 minutes to downtown LA. Quite a distance from LAX but I like the area. Also not too bad travel distance back from LA Dodgers.

We were out for a wedding and this hotel was recommended! The accommodations were excellent and the venue is just beautiful! It's part of a resort on a golf course. They have bikes you can borrow and lots of hiking trails and places to walk if that's your thing. The restaurants on the premises were so good...outside dining. Highly recommend Stonehaus for breakfast and/or lunch! Would definitely stay there again!

The round pool was so dirty with black debris, bugs, hair and to top it off, it was very murky. If you charge a healthy price for staying there, then make sure ammeneties, like the pool, reflect those prices in cleanliness. I didn’t stay long in the pool because it felt so disgusting.

What should have been a joyful, relaxing, and lovely after wedding brunch turned into an embarrassing, stressful, awful experience. On May 30th, my sister reserved a private buffet brunch for 80 people on the Vintage Patio following her daughter's wedding the night before. She created a menu with Kaylyn in the catering department, selected tables, linens and dishes and paid in full ten days before the brunch (as required). The brunch was to be buffet style from 10:30AM - 1:30 PM. She was assured that the food would continually be replenished as needed since guests would be staggered. The first guests arrived at 10:30. Approximately 15 people served themselves, got beverages and sat down to eat. One guest went up for a second cup of coffee and was rudely told there was no more coffee. The bacon, sausage, and potatoes trays were empty, the juice and coffee station was empty. Guests were arriving and were hungry. There were no drinks, no hot foods, and only a few dry bagels on a plate, a bowl of yogurt, and a half eaten tray of fruit. My sister asked the staff to replenish the food as guests were arriving, and fewer than 20 people had gotten hot food. The servers told her there was no more food or drinks. They did not have enough food for this event and they knew it from the get go. She paid for food for 80 people. A look of absolute horror and shock washed over the mother of the bride's face! She paid for the food in advance and they did not have the food. The servers then told her they could not get more food because it is a holiday weekend and the other restaurants at the hotel were closed. They were firm in the fact that they could not make more food because there was no food to make. This, while hungry guests were arriving! The new bride and groom would be arriving in minutes! We could not have a buffet with no food. Guests had traveled from all over the world to be here. My husband and I ran to our car, drove up the street and got deli platters and sandwiches from a local grocery store so my sister would not have to suffer the humiliation of 60 wedding guests arriving at a brunch where there was no food. When we returned, we began to put the food out as guests were all asking where the food was. There was still no coffee or juice! The staff and manager were watching this all unfold on their security cameras and the manager angrily came out to tell us we could not have our own food there. My sister once again told them she paid for food for 80 people. They only provided food for 20 and did not replenish as promised. Miraculously, when they saw us bring food in, they managed to find more bacon, sausage and potatoes "in the back" and charged my sister an additional $200. By then, the damage was done. Hungry guests were eating the deli platters and sandwiches we had to bolt out to get. Meanwhile, the very nice serving staff told me this happens "all the time" and that we should complain.   Following the brunch from hell, my sister and her daughter contacted Kaylyn in the catering department to tell her what happened.  She seemed surprised but offered no more than an apology and told her they would make changes so this doesn't happen again. She didn't even offer to refund the additional $200 my sister had to pay for food she already paid for! My niece's wedding brunch was ruined, my sister was humiliated, guests were hungry (and are still talking about the buffet that wasn't), and a "sorry" was the best they could do. There are moments in life so important that there are no do-overs. A wedding weekend is one of those events. As local residents, the Westlake Village Inn seemed like the perfect place to end a magical wedding weekend. The Westlake Village Inn is beautiful, no doubt about that. Too bad the beauty of the location was not matched with a staff that cares about the happiness and comfort of its guests.

After an unfortunate start at another property where they couldn't find my reservation and were fully committed, we were able to make a last-minute reservation at the Westlake Village Inn for an additional night after we were planning on moving here the following day with a wedding party. The evening front desk representative Cesar was welcoming, helpful, and sympathetic towards our situation, and was able to accommodate us with the same room across both reservations with the wedding block rate - two things that were above and beyond what we were originally expecting (and willing to deal with). Property was absolutely beautiful, and the front desk, housekeeping, and banquet team members were all incredibly courteous. The restaurants on property are lovely and the banquet setups for the wedding party were wonderful as well. Fabulous stay on property from start to finish - big thank you to Cesar again!

I was there for a wedding and really enjoyed my stay. The rooms were spacious and clean, and housekeeping did a wonderful job. I didn't interact much with the service staff so can't comment on that, but the restaurants / bars on site were really good fun. Bogies is much more of a nightclub than lounge which was a wonderful surprise!

I can not say enough amazing things about the Westlake Village Inn. Not only is it gorgeous, but it is superbly well-maintained and has so many wonderful experiences to enjoy onsite. There's really no need to leave once you arrive. I truly think it's LA's best kept secret- an oasis and paradise. It doesn't feel like you are in LA, but Italy. We recently got married there and had the most amazing experience with the Westlake Village Inn team. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating. The staff gave us all eyes and ears throughout our entire stay, and made sure that everyone in our party was well taken care of. Our event went off without a hitch or bump in the road. We wouldn't have changed a thing. If you're looking for a weekend getaway, extended vacation, or to host an event or party-- look no further than the Westlake Village Inn. I can promise you they'll treat you like family and you'll have a beautiful experience.
