I have stayed here a few years in a row for my annual firm meeting in December. What a gem. It is a lovely property with conventional hotel rooms and private "villas." The service is excellent. The location is perfect - walking distance to good restaurants and bars in West Hollywood, short cab ride from other great spots. But for...

This hotel is in a great location with some bars and restaurants nearby. Sunset and Santa Monica blvd are close by so you can actually walk to some places... in LA! The rooms are decent and beds comfortable. The restaurant is very decent and the bar area is cool. The hotel does charge for wifi which is strange in this...

We stayed at the trendy West Hollywood Hotel for two nights to explore LA and Hollywood. The spot is ideal for starting any tour through Hollywood and Beverly Hills. The hotel itself is situated in a calm street next to Sunset Blvd. Obviously there have been a lot of pop and rockstars who lived in the hotel so far. The...

This place is jammed full of rock and roll history. Very cool old Hollywood charm and unique setting. Worth the visit even if just for a quick swim or drink at the bar. You truly feel like a start when you visit and the history of the place is awe inspiring. Try the burger from room service and breakfast at...

This place is very chic; the art on the walls, the decor, the staff, they all scream "LA". It wasn't really our scene (we picked it for the location more than the atmosphere) but it was very nice all the same. Not a fan of places that charge for WiFi in 2016, but such is life.

I stayed here for 5 days doing a few concerts in/around LA. Many of the bands stayed there and you can see why. Understated. Straightforward. Pretty good food but feels small and intimate despite being set in over 4 acres! Restaurant is great for breakfast. Good staff too. Rooms are great. Especially the nice ones. Only fault is the coffee...

My wife and I visited this hotel on our recent trip to the USA. We spent 4 days in LA and the hotel was perfect for what we needed. We arrived at the hotel after a short flight and drive from Vegas. We checked in and our bags were taken to our room for us. We got to our room...

Cool place to relax. We liked how quiet and peaceful the hotel was. Great location, just steps to Sunset. Really comfortable beds and friendly staff. Had fun closing the lobby bar down too! Cool rock-n-roll history.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Sunset Marquis for 2 days, and had a wonderful time. The hotel itself is nice, if nothing special - spacious rooms, comfortable beds, incredibly nice bathrooms, though in need of perhaps some updating and some deep cleaning of the walls and floors - but the staff could not have been more friendly, accomodating,...

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
