Sunset Marquis is an exclusive sanctuary tucked away in the heart of the Sunset Strip. A home for generations of creators and innovators, movers and magic-makers. A place where "luxury" defines not only the fine amenities and attention to detail, but the attentive way we cater to you. Whatever brings you to Los Angeles, whether you're closing deals over brunch, making music history, making a day of soaking up the sun, or simply stepping out for a stroll down Sunset, the only thing more inspiring than our hotel is what you'll do when you get here.

Once again, had the best ever stay! Love Villa 55: quiet & spacious. The staff treats us like family, from the valet bringing our car, porters helping us with luggage, concierge, Front desk staff, etc. Cavatina dinners were as delicious as ever. Personalized service is unsurpassed.

Absolutely perfect stay! Was there this past Memorial day weekend. Reserved junior suite and was upgraded to King suite. Sweet! (Get it? :p) Room was amazing. Huge, clean, super quiet. They had every amenity in the room- lots of towels, extra pillows, water, toiletries, coffee, etc. They also cleaned room every day. This was the closest experience to what we had before covid! Also loved the grounds of this hotel. It's huge, very lush and green. We ate at Cavatina for Breakfast, lunch and dinner. Wonderful! Location is super awesome. It's quiet residential street but very close to all the action in West Hollywood. Staff were all super nice and helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we're back in LA.

We were happy to return to the Sunset Marquis, one of our favorite hotels. It's just below Sunset Boulevard, but on a dead-end road in a residential area - a peaceful oasis in the midst of the city. It feels more like a resort than a big-city hotel, especially the villa section which is a collection of 2-story units set amidst lush foliage and winding paths (the suites are in a low-rise building surrounding the main pool, with a bit of a mid-century modern vibe.) Lots of restaurants within walking distance, and we were pleased to find a new Starbucks just a block away on Sunset. They did a great job renovating the rooms, addressing the few shortcomings I had noted previously - the bathrooms are much lighter and brighter, and they added a makeup table with lighted mirror in the bedroom (we stayed in a 1-br villa). The showers still lack adequate pressure, and the temperature control was a bit wonky, but overall much improved. Sadly, no more rubber duckies ;-). They also added electrical outlets at each bedside, my other wish come true. There are wall sconces and reading lights at each bedside; we never could get the wall sconces turned on, even after asking at the front desk. The bed was very comfortable, and there is adequate drawer space. Be careful of overfilling the shallow drawers in the bedside table, as stuff can fall down behind the drawers and they are tricky to remove. Maintenance responded quickly when we called for help. Cavatina is still a delightful place to eat, and has also been renovated, opening up the indoor area and expanding the bar significantly. Being able to eat in an outdoor setting that is comfortable and protected from the weather is even more appreciated these days! Breakfasts were great, including some very good gluten-free toast. Poached eggs were hard one morning, perfectly runny next time. Dinner service varied, very solicitous one night when the kitchen was backed up with a wedding onsite, perfunctory on another night (when I mentioned my steak was overcooked, the server merely said "sorry" and walked away - ??). Knowing the staffing challenges everyone is facing now, we are a bit more tolerant of some inconsistencies. Overall, we still love it and look forward to returning.

My husband and I stayed at the Sunset Marquis for the first time. We stay in Wesy Hollywood twice a year and had never stayed at SM. Last visit we went to dinner at Cavatina and decided we liked the hotel atmosphere so wanted to try the hotel next visit. Our past hotels were L’Ermitage, the Hyatt Andaz and the Mondrian. We just loved the Sunset Marquis. Room was very large and had an amazing bathroom with 2 sink and, a large shower. Very well appointed and spacious. All employees were nice but not over the top at all. We had no complaints whatsoever and will definitely stay here in the future,

My husband and I stayed at the Sunset Marquis - Wow!!! We had the best time! Customer service is definitely the staff's number one priority - We had a standard room reservation, but when we checked in, our room was upgraded to a Suite. The suite was amazing!! Also, Steven (valet parking attendant) was always attentive and helpful. Another valet parking attendant went out of his way to assist our Uber driver to ensure the driver arrived to the hotel to get us to the airport. The Cavatina Restaurant was beautiful, and the food was delicious. We will definitely be back.

Hotel remains a favourite for its location, beautiful grounds, and service. The newly renovated Cavatina restaurant looks amazing! The food however was not as good as it once was. Still an amazing place to stay and hangout for a drink. No gym but you have access to the Equinox nearby which was great as well. The newly remodelled villas are beautiful and the bathroom gorgeous. Most importantly, the bed was super comfortable!

My wife and I just stayed at the Sunset Marquis as a good friend of ours told us to check it out as they stay there all the time. We had a fantastic time as it is definitely an oasis within LA. The setting is nothing like the big or well known hotels in the area. We were upgraded to a suite and it was quite large. The beds were some of the most comfortable I have been in and I travel quite a bit. The staff was fantastic from Paul at the front to Chase at the check in desk. And Cavatina had great food and drinks in a very cool open restaurant setting. The pictures that hang through out the hotel are awesome! Especially the one of Joe Strummer (The Clash) where he is standing in front of the actual pool of Sunset Marquis. Oh...Bar 1200 is a must stop off for an adult beverage. We were there at opening, 9pm, so we missed the late night crowd but the drinks were awesome and the staff was fantastic. Again...a must stay!

Well, let me start off by saying I've been a long time loyal customer of the SM. I love the hotel and felt at home there. The last time I was there however I got robbed by the staff. $1300 cash was taken from my bag. I noticed it at checkout when I went to pay. It isn't a ton of money but it felt really violating from a place that I have spent so much time at and always sung praises about. It really was my home in LA. Ive spend many many weeks there. I didn't write this review because I got robbed. I don't feel that the hotel deserves a bad rep over one rotten employee. I am writing it because of the way in which it was handled. I notified the on duty manager at the time when I noticed it. He told me that an "investigation would be done and security would reach out to me", and we left it at that. A week later I still had heard nothing so I reached out and was told that they came up with nothing and that they "trust their staff and I probably made a mistake". That really pissed me off. When I noticed it, I decided to be familial and not call the police and make a big deal out of it. I wrongly trusted that they would handle it well and I feel very disappointed. They basically waited for it to blow over, and me to leave town, and then sweep it under the rug. It 100% wasn't a mistake by me- One of their staff definitely robbed me. If I got acknowledgment or an apology I would have moved on and stayed there on this and future upcoming trips, but I am not going to sit by as a customer who has spent 10s of thousands of dollars there and be told that the mistake was mine, while their thief is being defended. Thats disgraceful! I wrote a letter to the GM of the hotel explaining what happened and never got a reply. Since they can't be bothered, I feel I should let people know. Quite sad, as I really did love this place.

My sister and I try to visit LA a few times a year. We haven't been since late 2018 and what kept us going through the pandemic was that our first trip back would be a stay here. We'd often visited the Morrison Gallery in the lobby and loved the feel of the lobby and restaurant. We were eager to experience the full "Sunset Marquis treatment" after admiring it from afar for so long. We were not disappointed. The staff here really is the key to an excellent stay, from the valets to the front desk and concierge folks to the restaurant, pool and 1200 staff...everyone was friendly, seemed to know exactly what we wanted and when and made us feel like we were valued, repeat visitors, not thankful first-timers. A special shout out to Gustavo in the restaurant. Every breakfast with him was a joy. He started our day with a smile. Dinner there is also excellent, we will definitely eat here again no matter where we stay. Our room had a large living room and a sleeping area which was very comfortable and quiet. This was one of the first times we didn't mind spending extra time in, and I curled up on the sofa to read a book and nap one afternoon. The bathroom was a bit small but still had double sinks and a nice sized shower. All impeccably clean and well kept. We spent a few afternoons at the pool, having lunch and drinks out there as well. Again, like everything else, we were treated like royalty and enjoyed our time there. It is a great place to just kick back and relax and better still, you'd never know you were a stone's throw from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood! We didn't regret spending more time there than we normally do, it was that good. We hope to get back to the Sunset Marquis sooner or later, but for now will remember our time there, and the people who treated us so well, with smiles on our faces. Thank you!
