If you’re looking for a spot that you can relax at or a larger suite that you can use as home base while you explore the neighborhood’s great architecture, cafes and nightlife, this is the spot. Montrose is cute but not too fancy and the staff was very accommodating. Shoutout to Amber for helping us relocate rooms away from some nearby construction.
I absolutely LOVE this boutique hotel and can't say enough great things about it. For us, we love hanging out in West Hollywood and their location could not be any more perfect! This hotel is situated just a couple short blocks from the heart of the Sunset Strip and Santa Monica Blvd! Right in the middle! A couple more blocks south and you're on Melrose Avenue. And just a few minutes from Beverly Hills. If you want to check out The Rainbow, Whiskey A-Go-Go, The Viper Room, Troubador and more, this place is for you! The rooms are incredible. Couldn't be any further from a standard boring hotel room. They are spacious, the design is fantastic, beautiful artwork, unique furniture, a lounge area separate from the beds, and it's just so relaxing and comfortable... loved it! The service is impeccable. Everybody who works there has customer service running through their veins. They're all there to ensure your stay is perfect, and will do whatever they can to guarantee satisfaction and beyond. A couple shout-outs to my main night dude, Victor, who was incredibly helpful and friendly, full of great recommendations, extremely accommodating, and made sure we were well taken care of. And up top, they have a beautiful rooftop pool with Dante, the friendly bartender who was awesome, hospitable, and made us the best drinks imaginable - something we'd never heard of before, but they were absolutely perfect! I have found my home away from home, and any time we return to LA, The Montrose Hotel is the only place we'll stay! Thank you all so much for the incredible experience, and we can't wait to see you again soon! Ian…
I stayed here back in August 2022 with my significant other after extensive research. Alas, we were NOT disappointed. Everyone was cordial and welcoming. Everyone was eager to help, and that was appreciated. The rooftop was nice. Very chill (which was our vibe) Our room was fabulous! It felt like a mini apartment. The tv would restart oddly at 11:55am everyday, so it was a little sad missing the winner of the price is right, but we survived 😂 Overall, i would stay here again and would recommend to couples who want a chill spot.
Our stay at the Montrose was outstanding. We were there (coincidentally) on the night of the Academy Awards. Despite the extra capacity and services required for industry guests, the staff were still attentive and friendly. Our rooms were large and comfortable - exactly as pictured on the website. The pool area is beautiful and well appointed. And the location is ideal - convenient yet quiet. Overall, the highlight of our stay was the service. The team at the Montrose is amazing. Everyone we encountered was great, and Amber, who checked us in and answered questions throughout our stay, went above and beyond to exceed expectations. I highly recommend the hotel. My only note is that the rooms near the lobby are a bit noisy.
Montrose is my home away from home. Tucked away on a quiet street that is at the same time close to EVERYTHING. It's the only place I stay when I'm in LA. The rooms are spacious and SO clean. And the staff is incredibly friendly. This is obviously not my first time staying at Montrose, so I have gotten to know the staff and Marta who runs housekeeping is the best. Her housekeepers are always so kind and friendly and my rooms are always impeccable. Odie, Hector, Edgar, Victor, Eduardo, Maria, Ebony, Miguel, David and Tsedey are amazing! I love Montrose. It's like staying with your best friend. ANYONE READING THIS REVIEW PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HOUSEKEEPER AND VALET. THEY'VE EARNED IT.
Amber was amazing and very helpful. Got me in early so I could get the room set up for my wife after her augmentation. We have stayed here in the past but Amanda made it feel more special this time. I would recommend her as the go to "individual/management" material.
Great service, easy check in, convenient location, and Amber at the front desk is awesome. Conveniently located to both Hollywood and Beverly Hill. Rooms are clean and well kept. This is a great boutique hotel!!!!
This is my second stay at the Montrose Hotel. Walking distance from all of the coolest bars and restaurants, this charming boutique getaway makes you feel like you are part of the neighborhood. I cannot emphasize enough how warm and welcoming it is here. The incredible front desk staff, Amber and Austin, took care of me like I was their cousin. Amber remembered me from my previous stay a few months ago, which made me feel so valued as a return customer! Dovie, the famed barista, knows how to make every coffee the Italian way, *and* the Starbucks way: a critical skill to satisfy coffee snobs and hardcore Starbucks lovers alike :)
I have to say that my stay at the Montrose hotel was perfect and more than memorable. I stayed for work and I need to be in the vicinity of most of the happening spots in LA so the location is perfect. The rooms and beds are so comfortable and nice. I have to also say the staff is absolutely amazing! They’re so kind and helpful especially I have to shoutout Amber, Roger and Austin because they are always so helpful and ready to help out. I was really annoyed by my car service in LA so when I got to my hotel Amber was so sweet enough to give me an upgrade because I extended my stay. She’s a gem. Just make sure to book with them on their website because they have really great package deals. They made my experience is La very memorable and will def consider staying w them next time I come to Los Angeles. 5 stars hands down!!!…
Lovely staff but there are hidden charges that you don't know about until you get your final bill. Urban Amenities Fee of $28 per day for "free" coffee and wine daily that you HAVE to pay for even if you don't drink either! So it's not compliments of the hotel. There are other added fees but smaller ones. Beware of these fees that add up to an expensive stay.
