We stayed at the Andaz West Hollywood for 4 nights, the website is very misleading and makes false promises. *The Pool* The first day of our stay we weren't informed the pool was actually shut down by the front desk at check in. I only found this information out by reading a sign by the elevator and texting the phone number provided. We were informed if we wanted to use a pool we would have to visit the hotel across the busy road instead (very inconvenient). The sign also stated it would be closed our entire stay. HOWEVER, the following morning I had overheard from another guest that the pool was actually now open (no member of staff actually informed us of the change). I later found out though however the pool would be shut down again for a private event. So even if you are a hotel guest paying to use the facilities - bad luck! This private event was also very loud and ran from 1700-2300 approx. Again no courtesy or warning to paying guest about the inconvenience only that the pool would be shut down. *False Advertisement on Website* #1 ROOM FEATURES - "Complimentary snacks and nonalcoholic beverages". Indeed there are complimentary snacks - out at the front desk on the ground level, not in room. THERE ARE NO COMPLIMENTARY nonalcoholic beverages, when I asked the staff about this they stated this is something they do not provide and this information is outdated and needs to be adjusted off there website (this is still on the website today). There is fortunately water stations on each floor but again we booked this hotel with the impression everything on their website included in the room features WAS INCLUDED. #2 SERVICES - "Complimentary welcome beverages". Not actually received/ available. #3 DINING - "24 Hours Limited Menu Options Available". Again not actually available. If you want food you're better off using Uber Eats (probably cheaper too). *Check In* Be warned on check in the staff will try to pressure and up sell you to one of the rooms facing Sunset Blvd, if you are a light sleeper like me or don't want to listen to non-stop traffic and noise I would avoid taking one of these rooms. Overall the hotel presents itself to appear really nice but underneath it is filled with dishonesty/ lies and was a mediocre experience. Next time I'm in LA we will be staying elsewhere.…
John at the front desk was fantastic. He made recommendations for stops we should make for our day out with the rent a car. Adrian, Jude & Ed gave us wonderful customer service in the restaurant area. The men that greeted us outside the door were also very welcoming. Please continue to provide this wonderful service.
I stayed at the hotel for three nights and requested that my room be cleaned during my stay via app and at the front desk when I checked in. I also called the front desk to request it be cleaned while I was there but It was never cleaned.
I stayed at the Andaz for one night with my wife. We chose it based on its location to our meeting the following day as we wanted to try to avoid LA traffic. Maybe I should have done more research into the hotel before choosing it but I had great experiences in other Andaz hotels. This one however fell far short. While the lobby and service experience were good, the hotel room itself reminded me more of a Holiday Inn than an upscale hotel. I recommend travelers do some research before booking this hotel to know what you are getting yourself into. Personally I'll be avoiding this Andaz in the future.
Took mono rail out of hotel to other end of strip then strolled all, Stopped at French rooftop bar before Caesar fountain. Long haul, take your time. Went back to hotel for break before heading out for the show
Stayed here this past weekend and it was a fail experience. Great staff and that’s the only reason for the 3 star. The pool was not worth a visit - furniture basically from Walmart. Rooms have thin walls and you can hear everything. This place seems like a condo conversion where thin walls were put up to break up the rooms. No coffee in the rooms at all and one day there was coffee station in lobby but the next day I was told to buy it from the restaurant for $10. Furniture and layouts of the room just don’t make sense and the bathroom products are subpar. This hotel is trying to be more than it is for the price they are charging.
Good location, clean, very friendly and professional staffs. Highly recommended. Especially valet parking was way better than what I expected. Once again staffs were more than 100 percent. Definitely coming back here in the future.
No hot shower, old fashion style of the room. Fire alarm in the middle of the night and no one to help us! Such a disappointment of the personal: no helpful. We appreciated Andaz London but West Hollywood is a nightmare
Recently spent 5 nights at this hotel. Found it to be nicely decorated, staff were friendly, room and bed were comfortable. Although the room didn't have a coffee maker, all we needed to do was ask and one was brought up to us and then refilled when we asked. There seemed to be a little confusion around free waters and the pool being open or not but aside from that, we were satisfied. Only ate one meal here, breakfast, which was good (if a little pricey - but hey, it's LA).
The hotel was OLD Looking It needs a revamp. NEW look, very outdated. ALSO NEW carpet!~ Someone needs to really bleach out the bathrooms. It needs a better HVAC system, It smelled moldy. We also had no mimi bar but cheap free snacks to replace. Pool was under construction with our knowledge. Bummer.
