Location was good, close to restaurants and bars. Thought it was a bit expensive considering what you get but you pay for the location and everything around the West Hollywood area is expensive. Hotel could be a bit cleaner and better looked after. Breakfast was good and staff were helpful. For a one night stay it was ok.

Looking for a reasonable place to say in West Hollywood as our flight out of LAX was delayed. Such a great spot, close to all of the bars and restaurants in Boys Town. Very friendly reservation/check in and for the price, it was a perfect hotel. I know that this place will be remodeled by The Sunset Tower Group and... More

My partner and I were excited for a quick overnight in LA, hanging out at the pool and relaxing in a great neighborhood, so the San Vicente Bungalows seemed like the perfect spot. And the location is, in fact, fantastic...but that's where the excitement ends. There is a striking contrast between some of the property's nicer features (Malin & Goetz... More

The owner Mr Klein being featured in Architectural Digest and Condé Nast should conjure up some degree of comfort and finishes. Well no! Since 2014 review with professional photos ,most everything seems well worn. Painted surfaces partially painted including bed base. I would have paid $25. To get some of the basics finished off. Room H could have French doors... More

This is a charming little place. A rare find in the midst of big city bustle and more expensive hotels. The staff is friendly and helpful. There are rooms and cottages. A little swimming pool. Lots of plants and greenery around the deck and lounge area. Very nice.

My two girlfriends and I absolutely LOVED it here! So quaint, dynamite staff, the pool and little courtyard was like a little peaceful oasis. This is my future go-to to stay every time I come to Hollywood. Close to where you need to be, super convenient parking, clean, - what more can I say? Loved it.

I booked this place via a frustrated post on Facebook where I complained about all the places I normally stay in L.A. are $400 & up. A friend sent me a message flabbergasted that I was complaining about $ and that she (being from new jersey) had heard of a place where everyone hangs out at night. Since I am... More

I was truly excited to read about this hotel being taken over by new management, as it's the perfect Santa Monica Blvd/West Hollywood adjacent location. You can walk to all kinds of fun things like Pump or The Abbey and scores of good restaurants. Walk up the hill the other direction and you are on Sunset Blvd., in the heart... More

The building and courtyard are beautiful, but that is where pleasure ends. Our room was adjacent to the office, and we heard bells, phone calls, and loud conversations all night. The mattresses were mushy, but not as bad as the pillows, which were flat and hard. They gave us 1 washcloth, 1 hand towel, and 2 bath towels for two... More

Staying in West Hollywood

Neighborhood Profile
West Hollywood
For years, West Hollywood has been known as a hub for the LGBT communities in Los Angeles. Today it still maintains the title, but has also become the “it” neighborhood for the entertainment industry’s up-and-comers. Producers, directors, writers and aspiring actors call this area home. Known for great boutique shopping, vintage clothing stores, home décor shops and fitness studios, West Hollywood is a grid of wide boulevards and narrow residential streets. The neighborhood also has a concentration of the most avant-garde restaurants in Los Angeles (rivaled only by the burgeoning restaurant scene Downtown). A trip to the iconic Sunset Strip, with its many clubs, music venues, hotels and flashing lights won’t be forgotten.
