Swamp of Sadness

The property is a little old (the floor creeks from the people upstairs walking around), but the room was plenty big enough and very clean. Continental breakfast wasn't much to speak of (so plan to get a real breakfast at one of the restaurants nearby). Place advertised best deal in Weed, and for the price I was happy to have...

Needed a clean room in Weed California and this one was clean. It was old but remodeled with a new bathroom, new carpet, bed, flat screen TV and fresh paint. Mt. Shasta is right outside the motel. Awesome sight! The price was right although California taxes are high.

The thing that struck us the most about this place was how clean the bathrooms and the room was despite the motel looking quite old on the outside. We stayed here for two nights when we visited Mt.Shasta. We didn't spend much time in the room - we just needed a neat place to stay that wasn't too pricey and...

This motel would have been much better if the heating unit hadn't been a factor. Because it was placed up near the ceiling, it made the room simultaneously too hot (for our heads and upper bodies) and too cold (for our feet and legs) If it wasn't turned on full blast, it did nothing to counter the cold air coming...

It was everything out of a motel room that I could have hoped for at any price and more than I expected. Clean, well kept, friendly, close to everything I needed. I didn't expect much from online or just the exterior view, but was pleasantly surprised.

My wife, daughter and I stayed here on a road trip up to Canada for Christmas. We arrived late (1:00 am), but were greeted warmly and given a comfortable room on the ground floor. Weed isn't exactly a top tourist destination and accommodations tend to be limited. As far as motels go, however, we found Townhouse clean and comfortable. The...

We returned here last June for an overnight stay. The owner/front desk person was very kind, friendly and helpful. Room was clean, very clean. Bathroom was immaculate. The room was a bit small but just fine for an overnighter and the king bed wonderful. Would I stay here again? Definitely!

Stopped here late for some sleep on my way North - conveniently located, nicely priced, clean and friendly. They have obviously been making some upgrades and I hope they keep them coming. I couldn't quite understand why there were only thin blankets and bedspread on the bed. I had to keep the noisy heater going all night to stay warm...

I have used the pleasantly run family motel twice now and the second time was no different too the first. Pleasant and extremely friendly staff. Clean and up to date rooms. And this time we got to see Shasta in its full glory... Oh Wow...!!! Even the night staff at the Shell Station are super nice... Give Weed a go,...

My normal room 107 at the Townhouse Motel was getting some electrical upgrades (New ceiling lights being installed), so I was placed in room 102. The rooms are very similar, the room & bathroom were clean (and cleaned daily), bed was comfortable, TV/cable worked, wi-fi was strong, and it had a microwave & small frig. The owner Nick, is always friendly,...
