Visiting Roman Villa and stopped for lunch. Superb food and great service from Stuart and team. Lovely atmosphere, despite the need for COVID 19 precautions. All in all top notch and well worth a detour to eat here.

Visited here for a Sunday lunch with my partner and toddler daughter. Great service and the roast dinner was one of the best we’ve had. The turkey was so moist and flavoursome, and the Yorkshire’s were huge! Generous portions and reasonable prices.

We stayed here for two days in mid- September and sadly, with the present Covid situation, there were only a few guests staying. The rooms were really nicely furnished and just lovely and cosy and the beds were really comfortable. All this was a great start but then the shower, which to me is always a sign of whether the owners care for their guests, was really nice and powerful. I’ve stayed in some places where I had to run around in the shower to get wet and for some reason, a poor shower is often reflective of a poor guest experience. Anyway, it didn’t stop there. I’m a hearty eater and the breakfast didn’t disappoint with some really great local tasting sausages, accompanying the full English breakfast experience. The staff were all super friendly and the pub food which we had on the Friday night was really great British pub grub. All in all a really nice experience and I will definitely be back.

Room Tip: All the rooms I saw were all in an annex block, away from the pub so no noise and nice and quiet.

Fantastic service, the friendliest staff, Stuart the manager was absolutely charming. The food was delicious, very generous portions, all homemade. Would definitely recommend and will certainly return if in the area again.

We had a warm welcome, everything was really clean and Covid safe. Food was excellent. I had the roast lamb and partner had the burger. Both piping hot and plentiful. Found room for desserts too. Highly recommend
