I stayed here with friends on a road trip around California. For anyone travelling between San Fransisco and Las Vegas, you won't find a better half way stop-off. Visalia is a typical and authentic central Californian town. By day we explored the beautiful countryside and by night we found a karaoke bar to entertain us. Lucy the owner was like... More

I came here with a group of friends (we're in our twenties) en route to Vegas, but this B&B stole the show. It split up the road trip between San Fran and Vegas perfectly and the hospitality and charm of the place blew us away. The town was like nowhere else we had been in the US. If you have... More

I stayed here with friends during the summer, found the food amazing especially the breakfast waffles, lovely relaxing pool, house had a very interesting history and fittings and best of all the owner was one of the most open and friendly people I meet on a summer-long trip from coast to coast!

We stayed in the Anna Mills cottage. We arrived hungry and Lucy directed us to many excellent restaurants within walking distance. After dinner the kids swam in the garden pool and we relaxed with wine, cheese and cherries provided by the inn. We met some really interesting people from all over the country. We slept in very comfortable beds and... More

This has to be one of the best B&B's I have stayed in. I am an Author and travel all over and by far, this is the best I've stayed in. My family and I were treated like royalty. We wanted for nothing. The house was beautiful, peaceful, restful and we felt very welcome and at home there. This place... More

We stayed at the Ben Maddox house with three of our young children. This is our third stay here, and we will definitely come back again! We have stayed in the Anna Mills cottage (next door) and the Ben Maddox House itself. We have been thoroughly satisfied every time we come, from the time the door opens until we sadly... More

When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Lucy. We were made to feel welcome and important. The room was very attractive and had the most comfortable feather mattress we have ever slept on .We had a nice bottle of red wine and cheese brought to our room, and told that it was covered in the bill. We had a... More

We loved it! We had a super room with all extras you could wish...including a bottle of wine. Every evening we were invited for pre-dinner wine and cheese, dinner venues were suggested and booked for us and breakfast was delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed this - the first of many lovely places to stay on our trip to California.

Sadly this pleasant B&B really ripped us off. When we presented our VISA card, the owner returned saying that her machine was broken, so we paid by check. To our surprise the charge showed up on our bill. Numerous attempts to contact the owner with copies available of the cancelled check and the VISA bill resulted in no satisfaction: letters... More

B&B's seem to attract various folks, with varying tastes, which might be the reason for the surprisingly amazing reviews we noticed. We stayed here for one night, and I think for any room over $150, we should get a very nice room and bathroom, with excellent service (particularly in the central valley). The B&B is average for a high price.... More
