At the end of a dark driveway and far from anything but a few fast food joints, this hotel is dingy and shows its age. We didn't have a chance to confirm that the room was overpriced because they were overbooked - without notifying us, the hotel cancelled the reservation we had made a week earlier and confirmed the night before, sending us away at 11:30 p.m. IHG membership made no difference, and when we contacted Corporate, they told us the local hotel would reach out to us - which of course they didn't. Sounds like a problem property - don't risk it!
This is the 1st Holiday Inn that does not serve free breakfast. Also there is no microware in the room. This is like Marriott Courtyard. You have to pay for you breakfast. Close to highway. The place is clean and quiet.
Room and hotel have an unpleasant smell. Something was loose on the building and banging against my window all night. Reported it the next morning. They did not fix it, another night of banging noise. Reported again, not fixed so changed rooms. After first night in new room housekeeping did not change the sheets or even make the bed! See picture. On site restaurant is terrible. Limited food choices and none of them are any good. Bartenders not friendly. No quality restaurants within walking distance. Won't stay here again and suggest you don't either.
Was going there for two years and no issues. Then I show up one night and there was a change in people running the hotel. I got approached by a so called “security” where I was threatened to be “dealt with” with someone not in a security uniform in a civilian vehicle. Never had an issue with them till now. Be very aware of going there, it’s not what you think.
This particular holiday inn was disappointing. Maybe it was because they are renovating or maybe because of covid. It was pretty sad. The room was clean and front desk people were very nice. The ice machine on the 5th floor wasn’t working. The pool area was miserable. It served its purpose for one night. There was no continental breakfast.
Even though they were remodeling, the staff was kind, welcoming, and very helpful. Great rate and very convenient to fwy and many services. Room was spacious and lovely. Only reason they didn’t get a “5” from me was I would occasionally get a faint smell of smoke. I know it’s hard, even when hotels are remodeled, to get that out. You also can’t completely control guests. I would stay here again.
Being that I am an IHG member, I always stay at one of their properties when traveling, mostly Holiday Inns, because I know what to expect. They met my expectations as always... friendly staff, clean rooms and comfortable beds. This is an older hotel, but they are renovating it. It's right off the interstate and close to many restaurants. We had breakfast at the restaurant in the hotel, which was good. Over all a great comfortable stay!
You can tell they are trying to renovate this location, but they didn’t do a very good job at blocking those area off from the occupied guest rooms. The parking lot is small and has a speed bumps every 10 feet, so prepare to ruin your vehicle shocks and pray you find a spot. The room itself was pretty standard, no major issues, had a nice view, comfy bed and pillows, hot shower, mini fridge, etc. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, but the food is hit or miss I guess according to some others as well. I ate dinner and it wasn’t very good, but the guys next to me really liked his fish entree. Even though the breakfast service really sucked, the food was good. Don’t eat breakfast there if you’re in any sort of rush, there was only one server and she was overwhelmed to say the least. Luckily I had plenty of time, but I did watch 4 separate people get really annoyed and either left without food or had to end up getting it to go. I really like the hotel’s location, since it’s right off the highway. That extra noise could be annoyance for some people though. Overall, I’d stay again as I travel through often, partly because of my IHG status and also location of this hotel. …
We got pushed past our planned stopping point of Barstow, (whats up with Barstow lately?) and landed here after dark and although they are HEAVILY under construction, I mean, hallways fully draped off and torn down to nothing. SERIOUS renovation going on but we didn't hear a thing and our room was super nice with a GREAT picture window and nice comfortable beds. They do a breakfast voucher for breakfast at the connected restaurant and although it was SUPER slow it was really really good and was worth the extra cost. I will say though that the wait staff seemed to forget about everyone. We never got checked on or the opportunity to get more juice, which we would have been paying an additional charge for. Oh well. Not a deal breaker. Would stay again if in the area.
Very nice large rooms. Everything was very, very clean. A modern look through out. Staff was very nice and helpful. It was hard to get in there off the highway - one of those, you can see it, how do you get to it things. We only stayed one night, but enjoyed the stay.
