A great escape from the hustle (no matter what sort of hustle, even the hustle of allegedly relaxing wine country). Very comfortable room, all the basic needs handled with finesse. Pleasing old fashioned feel, delightful weekend continental breakfast. Very accommodating owners!

This hotel advertises it as a 'family hotel' but there is no family there. Nobody spoke with us when we got in and nobody said anything when we left. There is no reception, no lobby ... even the room keys are left in an envelope in the porch (great safe practice I'd say!). So

We stayed at the Valley Ford Hotel for a couple of nights just recently. We attended a wedding in Tomales, CA so it was a great location just 6 miles away. The hotel has an old fashioned feel to it with 5 or 6 bedrooms. The bedrooms are a bit small but it was perfect for my wife

Is the hotel pet friendly?

I am not really sure when the check-in time cuts off. We were an evening arrival on a day the bar was not open. We picked up our key outside. I believe check out is at 11:0 AM. I doubt the WIFI can handle streaming anything. You will find WIFI weak all along the coast since most places are using satellite. I would email the hotel to confirm this.

"Any room would be fine, very quiet!"
"The hotel is small (think of it as a large house), so all the rooms are about the same; have to climb stairs to reach them."
"There is a small fridge in the room, perfect for leftovers!"
