Magical spot just ten miles east of HWY 101 just north of Ukiah! Great rooms, lawn next to lake, a variety of fun electric boats, great fishing, great place to BBQ, relax, watch sunsets, swim, excellent for families, world class wineries and outstanding restaurants within easy driving distance!

We were hesitant to stay here as it was just a little out of the way and a short detour off of 101 during our trip driving down the California coast, but it turned out to be a very wise decision and a welcome change from the normal franchise hotels. This motel is right on a beautiful lake and features a fantastic view of the same. There are doors in front and back of each room and the back door opens up to a little "patio" with two lounge chairs to lay out in the sun and see the beautiful view of the lake in relative peace. We took advantage of the free kayak use that is included with each stay and had a lovely paddle out on the lake. Other guests had brought their fishing poles so it seems as if it was a nice fishing spot also and you could fish right off the motel's shoreline. The room itself was very clean and had ample space for my wife and I. The bed was very comfortable which is important to us. And there was a cute little fireplace to keep the room warm. Not to mention the great service also. Pablo, the manager was very hands-on and visible and willing to help with any small request we had (such as happily providing a bottle opener for our wine and extra towels). We ran into the owner as well and he seemed very friendly too. Most importantly, this motel brought a glowing smile to my wife's tired face ( exhausted from our driving) as we enjoyed this exquisite setting.

The staff at The Lodge at Blue Lakes were exceptional, especially Pablo! He was very accommodating and gracious. We appreciate his willingness to help us with all our needs. Peter, the owner, is a very customer service oriented owner. He is so hands on with the needs of the lodge, chain saw and all in the rain. Wow!!! Other staff including Jackie, Mia, and Brandon were also super helpful! Riding an electric boat (quiet motor with no exhaust fumes) was a wonderful experience especially with the new friends we made at the resort. We look forward to visiting again.

This is the 2nd time I have stayed at the Lodge. Nothing fancy but comfortable and pretty clean. There was a very large dust bunny from under the bed, so maybe a bit more attention to vacuuming under and around bed legs. Other than that they welcomed me, my friend and my dog. We were weary from the long drive from San Diego. We had a breakfast snack in the am. It is always nice to have a kitchenette. The bed was very comfortable as well. I will stay again I am sure!! Great place to stay!! Looks like there are a ton of fun things to do on the lake.

Dear Bryan, We're beyond happy to hear that you had a relaxing stay! When the Lodge's current owners began renovating the property 15 years ago, their goal was to couple the charm of Blue Lakes (which reminded them of Switzerland's mountain lakes) with the conveniences of a modern hotel. They'll be very pleased to hear that their efforts are being realized! Thank you for staying with us and giving us the opportunity to exceed your expectations, we hope to see you again soon!
