Stayed for one night in July 2020. Check in was easy and staff was friendly. First time I’ve stayed at a Marriott property that I’ve had to sign a statement that I would be charged $500 if smoking or a pet was found - but I guess they’ve had issues in the past. Walmart and a gas station across the street for necessities.
We stopped here for 2 nights so we could visit Point Reyes Lighthouse, Medocino, Fort Bragg and see some Redwoods. The room was fine, but didn't seem much bigger than the Courtyard we stayed at the night before, although there was a seating area, which we didnt use and a second TV. Room furniture was BLACK. I think this was post-renovation. But it made the room very dark. Still some walls and floor in corridor with ld coverings - or none at all. Staff were friendly, smiling and welcoming and it was close to Crush, where we had dinner one night. But 2 nights was more than enough.
The room was basic, but pleasant. Good parking facilities, and Restaurant Crush very nearby. Check-in staff cheerful. The Hot complimentary breakfast was a very pleasant surprise, full choice os eggs , bacon, sausages, bagels, croissants, yoghurts, fresh fruits, waffles and good coffee! Walmart across the street
Apparently this property has been under renovation for a year. As I type this, the lobby is jam-packed full of boxes of furniture/ fridges for the rooms and kitchen. It is not so much that the hotel is full but rather, some of the rooms are being renovated. Room numbers consist of a small taped on sign to the door. There are workman in the hall, further crowding the small space. The two queen room (#208) is cramped for three of us hence I bailed out to the lobby. The room television is on the desk which eats up space. Mount it on the wall. The gym is small - one treadmill and one elliptical with very little room to stretch/ workout. Breakfast (M-F) is until 0900 but they ran out of scrambled eggs/ omelettes at 0845. This visit rates just a "whatever".
Just arrived off plane. Had a 6 hour drive ahead to see the Redwoods. We was on Eastern time, so we decided we better get a room!! Room was nice & clean. Breakfast is as standard. Eggs, yogurt, fruit, breads, juices, etc.
