We had the pleasure of spending one night in this lovely place and wish we could have stayed longer!!! The room was perfect for our family and my daughter LOVED her little bed nook by the windows. It was the best night of sleep of our entire trip, mostly thanks to the AMAZING mattress and bedding! Seriously, the most comfortable!!! The breakfast was absolutely delicious!! I really hope to be back one day and spend more time here.
This place is absolutely fantastic! We stayed for three nights in the Redwood Room and it was the perfect jumping off point and sanctuary to return to for long days of hiking the myriad of state parks nearby. The room is cozy, comfortable, and overlooks a sweeping view of the ocean. Every three-coarse breakfast was delicious with plenty of fresh fruit and warm spices, and the innkeepers were friendly, hospitable, and full of good advice for our outings. It was the perfect stay for our anniversary and I could not recommend this place more highly!
We enjoyed our stay at the Trinidad Bay B&B, the perfect location to base ourselves for hikes in the redwoods parks and along the rugged coast. Tyler is an attentive and charming host. We were in the cozy Crabpot room which is charming -- especially for the fabulous window seat, generous enough for two to relax and read on a rainy afternoon, which we did. The view is spectacular and ever changing. Breakfasts are generous, on the rich side, though Tyler says he can accommodate any special dietary needs. The dining room looks over the Bay and is such a great place to start the day. Note: The cancelation policy is rather more restrictive than other lodgings, so be sure to read the policy when you make your reservation. We would stay again because it's just such a perfect spot for exploring this phenomenal coastal area.…
I stayed in the Crab Pot room and I plan to return with my wife -- it'll work great for two. Every minute of my stay at Trinidad Bay B&B was fantastic -- Tyler's welcome with fresh cookies, the gorgeous ocean view from Crab Pot on the top floor of the building, a great night's sleep, scrumptious breakfast with conversation with two tablemates who were partway through a coastal bicycle trip. Trinidad is a very beautiful place to visit, and a stay at Trinidad Bay B&B maximizes the enjoyment of being in the town, and sets you up perfectly for the next day of your journey.
Wow what a find. If you are traveling to northern California and are looking for a FABULOUS place to stay then the Trinidad Bay Bed and Breakfast is a must stay. Make sure you book early as with only 4 rooms and a great following this B and B books quickly. For those who enjoy staying at B and B's this is a true gem. Beginning with the initial call to make a reservation, Tyler (Innkeeper) could not have been more accommodating. Upon arrival, my wife and I immediately knew we had made the right decision in choosing this B and B. The Inn is located high on a bluff overlooking the Pacific and is accessible to everything in the small town of Trinidad. Our large room was well decorated and the king sized "heated" bed was extremely comfortable especially after a long day of driving. Again, for those that enjoy B and B lodging, you know that if the innkeepers are not hospitable then that could easily ruin a holiday. On a scale of 1-10 Tyler and his partner Mike are off the charts with their ability to make one feel welcomed. The breakfast that Tyler prepares is gourmet and if there are dietary considerations again he will accommodate. If you are inclined to have serious conservative discussions about current events / politics then this is the place for you. As you can tell from this review, my wife and I feel that after our 2 day stay not only did we enjoy the visit but left feeling like we made new life long friends.…
We spent two nights here on our California Road Trip from our home in the SF Bay Area to Trindad on the Lost Coast. A very friendly and comfortable B&B. Our corner room on the second floor was very large with amazing views of the ocean from two directions. Comfortable bed, large bathroom. Our host Tyler was very nice, and made the most AMAZING breakfasts. Very filling, each one was very different, and both were very good. Nice location on the Lost Coast - easy drive either on 101 or on scenic routes running parallel to 101 - close to the Redwood forests and some amazing coastlines and beaches. Highly recommended.
Tyler and Michael are pros. Our stay was incredibly memorable, we were swirled into their universe and family. The setting reminded me of the outer coast of Scottland, their home overlooking the Trinidad Harbour in its greatest splendor, the jewel of the bluff. We took our little guy down the access stairs right outside our door to explore the tide pools at low tide. It was a beautiful rain with fog on arrival, followed by a brilliant sun the next morning ushering aromas of essential oils and the sea. Tyler’s 3 course breakfast was waiting for us with tea and pour over coffee, set up in the room. The linens and bed were what you would hope, enough to make you forget all your worldly troubles. Thank you both, we will be back soon! Dan
My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Trinidad Bay B and B. We stayed in the “Crab Pot” room, which overlooked the bay. The bed was so comfortable, and we loved waking up to the sound of the gentle waves. The highlight was Tyler’s delicious breakfasts each morning. He uses local ingredients to whip up some incredible dishes. I loved the pumpkin ginger nutmeg waffles, and my husband’s favorite were the herby goat cheese eggs. The B and B is just steps from a beautiful beach hike, and minutes from Redwood National Park.
What gracious hosts, amazing breakfasts, & a clean, comfortable room with amazing views. The location is just 30 minutes from Redwood Park—Prairie Creek and in town, there are hiking trails, beach areas & a few shops. Again, the view of the Bay/Ocean is outstanding, and I can’t write enough about the hosts’ customer service, friendliness & helpfulness—from offering advice on local attractions to preparing delicious breakfast, etc. Wonderful stay.
We enjoyed our stay immensely. We were fortunate enough to reschedule our stay due to a fire a few months ago despite the clear no refund policy. Tyler worked very hard to accommodate us. The accommodations were amazing. It is a historic building and I appreciated all of its quirkiness to maintain it’s integrity. Some people may think the rate is not justified, however as someone who has traveled all over the world I certainly felt we got a lot of bang for our buck. We originally booked the tide pool room but ended up staying in the redwood room upstairs. This room has a view out of all windows. It is majestic and truly beautiful. The bed was comfortable, the sheets were a crisp white high thread count, and the quilt was a perfect for the environment with stitched fern leaves. The breakfast arrived 10 minutes early and although dinning is typically in their common area they were kind enough to serve us in our room at our request. The food was spectacular. I don’t say that often and I am a bit of a cook myself. I don’t know how we got so fortunate to have clear blue skies both days but as someone who has been visiting Trinidad for 20 years I know this is a rarity. Our hosts were friendly, funny, accommodating. We will definitely be back.…
