Javier at the front desk was such a nice guy. Very friendly check in and made us feel quite welcome. It’s 6:30AM now though and I’ve only slept 2-3 hours due to the beds. They are stiff, feel old and curve to the middle so I roll toward my wife. My back and shoulder blades are sore and the pillows are flat and just extremely uncomfortable. The Lodge has the makings of a great hotel if it weren’t for the beds and pillows. The number 1 thing for me with hotels is how well I sleep and 3 stars is generous considering that I’m exhausted at 6:30AM.

This is the best place to stay in area. Unfortunately due to Covid limitations, they were forced to close restaurant and bar, one of the best parts of TL. They are trying hard, front desk very friendly and accommodating as usual. Price was lower which was fair. No parking snafus this time because gate is up, good decision. Everything in room was good as usual except toilets seem to never work quite right. Definitely will stay again.

The hotel is a 3-star motel with some new lipstick. It’s Tuburon folks. Not many choices, (although we have stayed at Waters Edge which has a two night minimum.and that was fabulous) Before we stayed at the lodge, I read all kinds of reviews about it being a bit “tired” and we just stayed for Halloween 2020 weekend. As of Nov.1, the back half of the property is being renovated. “I.e. construction noice periodically “ but we stayed in one of the new “deluxe kings” ( deluxe being these have balcony’s or open to the patio.) which is a $40. Upgrade. What we noticed and liked: new carpet, nice bed, good pillows, new furniture, New paint. Direct TV, beautiful location. Things that we noticed and didn’t like: NO MENTION OF CONSTRUCTION ON THE WEBSITE Standard clock radio with CD player? No Bluetooth. (Get with it people) no pay per view movies. (You gotta find something on DirectTV. It was quiet but that’s because we only had two other families in our wing. When it gets busy I expect it to sound like the Disneyland Hotel.

The $$$$ did not reflect what I would have thought, for the money. Worn down is how I saw it. I guess Location, Location, Location is the reason for the high price. Grounds were clean. Some work force of some type in and around. Carpets having some stains. Front desk experience was good. Room good, plenty of room. Bed slept well. No food on site though says it is open on website. Easy walk to downtown and the nice walkway by the bay.

While this hotel is scheduled for a renovation, the price tag did not reflect its current state. It is run down and not maintained well at all. The pool was not regulated to keep only a few guests in at a time for Covid safety and although the front desk tried their best- they could not make up for broken TVs peeling paint and dilapidated furniture. The best thing about it was the location.
