We stayed last Water's Edge while attending a Naturebridge dinner. It was the first time we have stayed there, and the first time I had been back to Tiburon since the late 60's.
The hotel fronts on the wharf on one side and on the European felling Main St. on the other. If you happen to stay with nice weather the deck on the harbor side is wonderful. If you stay on the street side, it can get a little noisy especially in the mornings they have garbage pickup.
The staff are welcoming and helpful. The hotel is clean and inviting. You get a continental breakfast delivered to your room each morning if you so choose. There is also a breakfast restaurant a couple of doors down on Main St.
There are plenty of dining choices within a 5-7 minute walk that can satisfy any craving.
Parking is $20 a day with the magic stamp on your parking ticket from the front desk. You can walk onto the pier if you want to take a ferry to Angel Island. I think the hotel can help set that up.
Quite a pleasant stay in nice accommodations.

Absolutely loved our stay at Waters Edge, really cannot fault anything or anyone.
The initial greeting was great, room was large (view king- which had its own small balcony), the main shared deck has stunning views over to San Francisco. The deck is also an amazing place to sit and enjoy the complimentary afternoon wine and cheese, and to enjoy a bottle of wine by the fire pit on an evening.
Continental breakfast delivered to your room at your chosen time was also good. Toaster in the room, if you chose bagels/bread. Plenty of choices - fruit/granola etc
Previously we have stayed in San Fransico, and had visited Tiberon. We will always choose to stay here in future, so chilled out and lovely vibe, restaurants generally better than this river the bay too.
What is nice is to catch the ferry over the bay for a few hours, then return to this lovely calm oasis.
Parking is available just round the block from the hotel, and you can drop off outside the door.
We will be back

The location is perfect. It is a VERY small hotel on the Main Street in Tiburon overlooking the bay. The rooms need some updating and redesigning. The bathroom needed much better lighting and the plug in our tub didn’t work. The living area of our room was small and poorly laid out. You couldn’t watch TV and sit on the couch. The sofa was horribly uncomfortable and there were two old wood chairs, not good for sitting on. The room was clean but the furniture on our balcony was covered in bird feces. The blinds in our room needed repair and all windows were tinted except one. The breakfast brought to your room was a nice touch. Turndown service would have added value. This hotel is expensive and probably not enough value for the dollar but you can’t beat the location.

I have stayed here a few times in the past with a wonderful room and great experiences. Its usually a place where I can decompress. This was the first time I booked it with award points from my credit card. My reservation was for a deluxe room but was given a basic room. I know this because I have booked a deluxe room on my 3 previous stays. When I went back to the front desk he said it was a deluxe room and even though the photos on the booking site showed it as a basic room he said he couldn’t move me because they were booked. The front desk person said it was booked through Expedia and that is what you are given. So I decided I had to make the best of it.
The restaurant next door, Malibu Farms was really good. Had a great artichoke pizza. Lots of fresh food.
Then the room next to me, the guests were super loud all night. They kept their balcony door open, which connected to mine. I had to keep by balcony door open a bit because it was so stuffy in my room and the AC didn’t seem to be working. The guests in the room next to mine continued to be super loud until 3:30 am at what time I finally tried calling the front desk to complain. No one answered the phone and had to leave a message. Needless to say, I was awake the rest of the night.
I had ordered and early breakfast the night before, which comes with the room. I left early and took a drive north. When I got back at noon, the front desk person said he spoke with the manager and wanted to upgrade my room for the inconveniences I experienced. The room they upgraded me to has a beautiful view and its own pretty large balcony. This is why I keep coming back here whenever I’m in the area. Thank you!

I really wanted to love this place, we went for a quick overnight for my birthday...but I'm giving it 3 1/2 stars. Check in was quick. You can park your car across the street and a bell person will help you with your bags. We went to the room and it was ok. For the money we paid I was expecting much better. The furniture has scuffs on it, and the room NEEDS a paint job. The very small balcony has one chair on it and lots of bird poop and a kinda view of the bay...but that is a stretch. The shower had a few very long hairs in it. It wasn't all bad..they did bring back happy hour in the lobby. Nice wine and appetizers. There is a nice deck over looking the bay but the furniture on the deck is in need of being replaced. They offer breakfast in bed..the night before you choose what you want off the menu and they deliver it to your door. My coffee was very cold and the toaster that was in the room looked like it was from 1970..and it burnt one side of my bagel.

Perfect location, right next to the ferry dock -- we spent a night here to try something different after a week in San Francisco, and it was the perfect getaway. A small hotel with a nice sitting area where we sat and played Scrabble, wine and cheese in the evening, snacks and coffee/water during the day, a tasty breakfast delivered to your room each morning, and a lovely second-floor patio with fire pits overlooking the water. Complimentary, good quality bikes available to tour the town, with gears that can handle the hills outside of town. Walking distance to everything.

Exquisite, lux rooms, absolute waterfront heaven in charming and beautiful CA town across the bay from SF. We had one of the best rooms - corner top floor, views directly out the window across the bay to SF with the Golden Gate off to the right, with our own small veranda. Out the front door 100 feet to the left the two best on the deck restaurants in town. Breakfast at the hotel was perfunctory and could be a lot better especially with $500 a day rates. Right out the front door onto the street with not many but high quality shops. A romantic place in a romantic town staying in a lux-roomed on the water with boat activities all the time few days was superb.

Great stay for a Tiburon getaway.

Hotel is located in the heart of “downtown” on a quaint and quiet street with shops & restaurants just steps away.

Parking is in a public lot about one block away. A voucher is provided by the hotel & charges will appear on your hotel bill.

No dog relief area on site, but is a one block walk.

The room was well appointed, quiet, and comfortable. We had a king view room facing the inner harbor. Very nice.

The fireplace in the room is nice for ambience, but adds no viable heat. The bathroom lighting is quite dim.

Included breakfast was a disappointment, so, we skipped after day one & brought food in from nearby restaurants.

Large deck with fireplace, for hotel guests, faces water and is a nice place to relax with a nighttime cocktail.

Staff was pleasant and efficient.

Hotel practices COVID safety.

Not a cheap stay by any means, but well worth it!

Will definitely return.

A delightful say! We were a family of 2 grandparents, a young family with 2 children and a family friend staying for 4 nights. The staff couldn’t have been more attentive - Tom, Nancy and Martine. From coffee always available to a nice wine and cheese hour and baked cookies in the evening, we felt very looked after. Continental breakfast delivered to our rooms was a great start to the day. Location perfect ! An old favorite right next door - Samos’s Anchor Cafe as well as several others close by. Highly recommend and hope to be back!

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. We live in the north bay so liked the fact that it was a relatively short drive. Everything was a delightful surprise in the very best way. You park in a lot across the street and they send help over for your bags. The entire staff is very well trained, professional and truly care about your comfort. Our room was on the second floor with a small balcony that overlooked the boat harbor and the deck at Sam's next door. It was fun to watch the energy and activity on Sam's dock and deck but with the door closed you couldn't hear any of it. By 9:00 at night Sam's was closed and quiet.

Our room was beautiful in a contemporary nautical way. The bath room was well laid out with adequate counters and a large shower bath. Due to Covid they send breakfast to your room each morning and give you a goody bag at the beginning of your stay with wine and many snacks. Such a nice touch! Our room was just steps from their large back deck with lounge chairs and fire pit. We could spend hours just watching the boats go by and enjoying the views of Angel Island and San Francisco. One day we took the ferry to Angel Island and hiked for a few hours. The ferry is directly next door to the hotel. It was a weekend and Tiburon had the main street blocked off for live music which was fun. The stage was directly in front of the hotel.

This hotel is immaculate in every way with exceptional decorating and staff that are there to help with anything you need. Several outstanding restaurants are on the same block. We never moved out car the entire time we were there. This is a true gem of a hotel!

Tiburon is a beautiful, quiet, relaxing spot across the bay from SF. We loved both the town and the hotel, but we were a couple, no kids - we used it as a base for the last couple of nights of a busy trip to chill out before heading home. Didn’t see any young children there when we stayed back in August. I guess it depends on what you enjoying doing as a family - ferries run to Angel Island and into SF close by the hotel and you could drive up to Muir Woods, but I don’t think you would want more than a couple of days there.
