The hotel was lovely. Right in the heart of little Tiburon. Nice kind staff, clean rooms, great deck on the back for drinks. All of that was wonderful until it was time to go to bed. Unfortunately, we had a room that was at the front of the hotel on the street side. It was very loud. You could hear every thing out on the street, cars running, staff activity in the kitchen area. And the delivery trucks, trash trucks all started at 5:30 in the morning!. There was no sleeping after that. I had two teenage girls with me who were completely exhausted the next day. It really affected our plans that day. If you can get a room towards the back of the hotel it would probably be fine. But, I would definitely avoid the front of the hotel. I did mention this when we checked out but there was no accommodations made for us. I expected more for a high end hotel.…
1. Beautiful location 2. Very friendly staff 3. Large and comfortable room (# 105) 4. Loved the wine and cheese reception 5. Breakfast brought to your room! 6. Several cafes and restaurants nearby 7. Parking was close and easy to find We'll definitely be back!
When I last visited SF 15 years ago I swore I would escape the foggy city on my next visit and stay on the sunny shore across the bay… So visiting with my husband this time, we chose Tiburon as our base (also because the easy ferry ride across the bay was so much more appealing than having to battle the metropolitan traffic). We couldn’t have chosen a better base. Water’s Edge was absolutely lovely in every respect, from its superb location on the water, skyline views of the city, super-friendly staff and lots of little extras like the lovely fireplace (you can pick up extra logs at reception) and the goody-bag and two half bottles of wine Martin handed us on arrival. Not to mention the bowl of Swiss chocolates at reception… Parking just one block away at $15/day was also convenient. Fantastic water pressure in the shower. We had room 217 which was on the second floor with partial water views and only a couple of steps away from the phenomenal roof terrace with breath-taking views, great sun loungers and a nightly fire-pit. We enjoyed the pre-order breakfast (fill in the quite extensive menu the night before) – there were breads, bagels, pastries, porridge, cream cheese, peanut butter, hard boiled eggs, salmon and much more to choose from. There is a toaster and a fridge in the room but no safe. The restaurants nearby (we had lunch at Sam’s and a beautiful birthday dinner at Luna Blu) are excellent and just steps away. The hotel truly was the perfect base for us and we would highly recommend it.…
One of the main reason we wanted to stay here again, is because the town is quaint and quiet as well as the hotel. Check-in went great and Tom was extremely welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Clearly enjoys his job and represents the hotel well. Rooms are appointed beautifully, clean, and very comfortable. Breakfast was delivered to our room the next morning right on time. Only thing that could of been better would be the fire pit operational on the deck in the evening. Worth a few extra bucks to spoil yourself staying here.
This boutique hotel/inn right on the water in Tiburon is a favorite place for my wife and me to enjoy special occasions. To answer a question that's been asked many times here: yes, there are mini-fridges in the room, a recent upgrade that is not currently listed on their website. Rooms are clean, bright, and modern, the staff is friendly, and you are right on Main St in the heart of tiny Tiburon, yet you can expect a peaceful, quiet stay. Two of the restaurants on Main St are currently being renovated, but there are still several places to choose from within walking distance. Having said all that, the pandemic has extracted its pound of flesh. The nightly wine and cheese reception has been scuttled. Forget about calling the hotel - I tried half a dozen times before and during our stay but could never get a live person on the line. You won't get maid service unless you ask for it, including basics like towels and toilet paper or a presto log for your fireplace. They still have their coffee/tea/water station on the upstairs landing, but it was chronically short of something during our recent visit. Likewise, our delivered-to-room breakfast was missing items on one occasion, and on that subject, it is a cold continental breakfast, so don't get your hopes up. The public parking lot used for hotel guests fills up quickly on weekends - they neglected to tell us that, even if the lot has a sign set up that says "lot full," we are still to be let in as guests of the hotel. The only other lot is several blocks away, and I ended up prepaying parking there before I found out about the accommodation (the hotel did credit me for one day's parking). All of the above does not mean that the place is still not worth a stay. With its wonderful deck overlooking the boat slips and bay, and all the other positives, we'll be back - but maybe we'll wait until Cali decides to embrace normalcy again.…
Great stay for a Tiburon getaway. Hotel is located in the heart of “downtown” on a quaint and quiet street with shops & restaurants just steps away. Parking is in a public lot about one block away. A voucher is provided by the hotel & charges will appear on your hotel bill. No dog relief area on site, but is a one block walk. The room was well appointed, quiet, and comfortable. We had a king view room facing the inner harbor. Very nice. The fireplace in the room is nice for ambience, but adds no viable heat. The bathroom lighting is quite dim. Included breakfast was a disappointment, so, we skipped after day one & brought food in from nearby restaurants. Large deck with fireplace, for hotel guests, faces water and is a nice place to relax with a nighttime cocktail. Staff was pleasant and efficient. Hotel practices COVID safety. Not a cheap stay by any means, but well worth it! Will definitely return. ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️+ Restaurant recommendation- Luna Blu (Italian/step from hotel/does takeout.…
Exquisite, lux rooms, absolute waterfront heaven in charming and beautiful CA town across the bay from SF. We had one of the best rooms - corner top floor, views directly out the window across the bay to SF with the Golden Gate off to the right, with our own small veranda. Out the front door 100 feet to the left the two best on the deck restaurants in town. Breakfast at the hotel was perfunctory and could be a lot better especially with $500 a day rates. Right out the front door onto the street with not many but high quality shops. A romantic place in a romantic town staying in a lux-roomed on the water with boat activities all the time few days was superb.
Delivered in a paper bag, containing boxed preserved milk and packaged cereal. A poor and inhospitable excuse for breakfast. Weird hotel. Would prefer to stay elsewhere but not much choice in Tiburon.
The hotel is on the water's edge - in fact I believe our room was partially over the water. The views are extraordinary of San Francisco, SF Bay, Angel Island, and walking along the water front, the Golden Gate Bridge. The hotel staff is efficient, fast, and caring. They also offer a bag of goodies when one checks in that is very nice. Our room was one of the Junior Suites on the top floor and right on the water - we loved the room but, beware - the Junior suites are near the outdoor deck that is open to all guests - there is a ramp going from the inside of the hotel to the deck and the junior suites are on each side of the ramp (one exits the hotel to get to the Junior suites). When other guests walk down the ramp, it is quite noisy! sounds like Clydesdales going for a walk! However, it's not that noticeable except at night - we were awakened a few times by guests walking up and down the ramp (and it sounded like they had on tap dancing shoes!)... but... this is a small thing compared to the excellent stay we had at the hotel.…
My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. We live in the north bay so liked the fact that it was a relatively short drive. Everything was a delightful surprise in the very best way. You park in a lot across the street and they send help over for your bags. The entire staff is very well trained, professional and truly care about your comfort. Our room was on the second floor with a small balcony that overlooked the boat harbor and the deck at Sam's next door. It was fun to watch the energy and activity on Sam's dock and deck but with the door closed you couldn't hear any of it. By 9:00 at night Sam's was closed and quiet. Our room was beautiful in a contemporary nautical way. The bath room was well laid out with adequate counters and a large shower bath. Due to Covid they send breakfast to your room each morning and give you a goody bag at the beginning of your stay with wine and many snacks. Such a nice touch! Our room was just steps from their large back deck with lounge chairs and fire pit. We could spend hours just watching the boats go by and enjoying the views of Angel Island and San Francisco. One day we took the ferry to Angel Island and hiked for a few hours. The ferry is directly next door to the hotel. It was a weekend and Tiburon had the main street blocked off for live music which was fun. The stage was directly in front of the hotel. This hotel is immaculate in every way with exceptional decorating and staff that are there to help with anything you need. Several outstanding restaurants are on the same block. We never moved out car the entire time we were there. This is a true gem of a hotel!…
