Delivered in a paper bag, containing boxed preserved milk and packaged cereal. A poor and inhospitable excuse for breakfast. Weird hotel. Would prefer to stay elsewhere but not much choice in Tiburon.

The hotel is on the water's edge - in fact I believe our room was partially over the water. The views are extraordinary of San Francisco, SF Bay, Angel Island, and walking along the water front, the Golden Gate Bridge. The hotel staff is efficient, fast, and caring. They also offer a bag of goodies when one checks in that is very nice. Our room was one of the Junior Suites on the top floor and right on the water - we loved the room but, beware - the Junior suites are near the outdoor deck that is open to all guests - there is a ramp going from the inside of the hotel to the deck and the junior suites are on each side of the ramp (one exits the hotel to get to the Junior suites). When other guests walk down the ramp, it is quite noisy! sounds like Clydesdales going for a walk! However, it's not that noticeable except at night - we were awakened a few times by guests walking up and down the ramp (and it sounded like they had on tap dancing shoes!)... but... this is a small thing compared to the excellent stay we had at the hotel.

My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend. We live in the north bay so liked the fact that it was a relatively short drive. Everything was a delightful surprise in the very best way. You park in a lot across the street and they send help over for your bags. The entire staff is very well trained, professional and truly care about your comfort. Our room was on the second floor with a small balcony that overlooked the boat harbor and the deck at Sam's next door. It was fun to watch the energy and activity on Sam's dock and deck but with the door closed you couldn't hear any of it. By 9:00 at night Sam's was closed and quiet. Our room was beautiful in a contemporary nautical way. The bath room was well laid out with adequate counters and a large shower bath. Due to Covid they send breakfast to your room each morning and give you a goody bag at the beginning of your stay with wine and many snacks. Such a nice touch! Our room was just steps from their large back deck with lounge chairs and fire pit. We could spend hours just watching the boats go by and enjoying the views of Angel Island and San Francisco. One day we took the ferry to Angel Island and hiked for a few hours. The ferry is directly next door to the hotel. It was a weekend and Tiburon had the main street blocked off for live music which was fun. The stage was directly in front of the hotel. This hotel is immaculate in every way with exceptional decorating and staff that are there to help with anything you need. Several outstanding restaurants are on the same block. We never moved out car the entire time we were there. This is a true gem of a hotel!

My husband and I came to stay only one night on a weekend as it was the first time away from our baby. First, the customer service from the kind woman at the front desk on a Friday evening was excellent, very friendly, helpful and attentive. Sadly, we booked the standard king room based on the photos on the hotels website (as it showed there was a door with small balcony). To our dismay we were booked on the ground floor, # 106 (it appears there are only two rooms on this floor next to the housekeeping and storage rooms), come to find out none of the windows open for fresh air so the room was quite stuffy and it was a ‘view’ of what appeared to look like a crime scene and garbage dumpsters (see photo). We kept the shutters cracked to let in some light but much to our surprise around 7:15am people/tourists walk within 2 feet of the window to access the ferry and are loud. Although the bed was very comfortable, no sleeping in past 7am which was the one thing we were looking forward to. One woman shockingly even stopped to try and look in our window!! We also wanted to watch the French Open but the TV wasn’t HD and pretty blurry screen, which was surprising. For rooms on ground floor, accurate photos and description should be posted and price should be reduced; $359+ tax for a Friday night is over-priced for this room. We would consider staying here again as everything else was wonderful and nice - but NOT on the ground floor.

A lovely, well run, boutique hotel. Enjoyed my 3 nights there; staff was accommodating and very helpful. My only disappointment was that I was NOT told, until check-in, that I had to pay for private parking for my rental car down the block.
