My fifth trip to Slippery Winds. The weather was a bit "rough" but the fishing was great and the staff so friendly. Shannon, Gary, Rick, Stormy, even "Shooter", all of Pat's crew were fantastic. Plan to go back next year!

The six lakes at Slippery Winds provide access to six different types of fish: smallmouth, largemouth, walleye, northern pike, muskie, and lake trout. This was my seventh trip to Slippery Winds. I have attended with a group of fly fishermen. Each time the fishing has ben terrific. The company has been wonderful. And, the Staff at Slippery Winds treat all... More

I have attended numerous hosted fly fishing trips to Slippery Winds Lodge on Yoke Lake and I believe it is probably the best in NW Ontario when you compare price with fishing and lodging. There are six game fish species in abundance; Smallmouth and largemouth bass, pike, musky, lake trout, and walley. We have fished the six accessible lakes from... More

Thanks for your comments regarding your recent trip to Slippery Winds Wilderness Lodge. Slippery Winds is definitely a rustic fishing lodge with the main lodge constructed from large local pines and featuring a fieldstone fireplace in the guest lounge. While being rustic and remote, the camp is fully-modern with 24 hour electricity provided by generators; fully-modern guest cabins with either... More

Slippery Winds is a "rustic" lodge with adequate accommodations and a great staff. The Staff people: Pat, Shannon, Stormy, Gary and others work very hard to make our stay trouble free. My group, composed of all fly fishermen, is there for the exceptional fishing, and it is a truly great warm water fly fishing experience. With six lakes to fish... More

This was my second trip to Slippery. The last time was over 15 years ago. This time I took my wife and 2 boys, ages 8 and 13. We had a great time. The guides were fantastic and very good with my boys. The fishing has improved dramatically. We caught many fish including; numerous 28 inch walleye and a couple... More

This is the best fishing experience I've ever had. There are a few things in life that everyone needs to experience and a Canadian Fishing Trip is definitely one of them. Slippery Winds is the place to do just that. We have enjoyed 5 trips to this great lodge and every year is a little different and seems to get... More

As a group of four, we just spent our third year up at Slippery Winds Wilderness Resort. If anything over the past 3 trips, the fishing and service has only gotten better! The fishing was great, and the variety of fish to catch due to the various lakes available for fishing is unbeatable. We went from catching a 15 pound... More

On advise from a party which has made many trips to this lodge, we spent our first trip at Slippery Winds Resort the first week of June. We were overall very pleased. The staff was pleasant, helpful and took good care of us. The food was excellent and plentiful. The boats and motors were in good working order. The plastic... More

Ginny and I just returned from Slippery Winds Wilderness Resort! Wow! It had been five years since we were last there and the fishing was even better than we experienced last time. We caught all six species of fish and had the opportunity to catch and release two trophy walleyes and two Lake Trout. We found the professional services of... More
