We were here last October and the stay was very nice for an overnighter tent camping. It was quiet and very few people. We came on 2 APR 2017 and left on 6 APR 2017. Our first night camping with tent was OK. There were more people than October. The second night was very bad because there were noisy guys...

It doesn't take much to tell how well a State Park is operated and Lake Skinner is no exception. As soon as we were out of our rig, we could tell that the staff cared about their park. Maintenance is a priority with these people and everything was clean, sorted, and orderly. Lake Skinner has a large number of camping...

After making a long trip, and it's made even longer by a circuitous road around the lake from the populated side to the park entrance, I was flatly ignored by the entry staff while they focused on each other and their computer. No eye contact. No "we'll be right with you." No acknowledgement that I'd been waiting ten minutes for...

Ok I was there for the 4th of July so I should cut them a little slack but hearing the employee in the General Store complain about it being her turn to clean the restrooms was a little upseting. At $35 a night I would like a clean stocked restroom when I stumble 7 mins in the dark to the...

Park is very clean. People at the front gate were very friendly. We had a great spot with lots of shade. Just be careful if you are camping at the end of site "B", there is a family of skunks that reside inside their water drainage. The "splash zone" is fun but needs some TLC, floor is broken in places...

I was surprised to see how clean the bathrooms are and the space was amazing including the kids water park splash pad rather. There was water hool ups shade and clean firepits as well.... I recommend for anyone looking for a nice lake to fish and hike at...

We stayed here for 3 nights a few days ago and it was just about a perfect visit weather and scenery wise. This is a very large facility with everything from fishing, to hiking, biking, and camping. We camped in the C loop in a full hookup camp site. There is also a loop A and B. Our utilities were...

We spent 6 nights at the campgrounds. Quiet hours 10 pm to 6 am are not enforced at any hour. Neighbors party evolved into a drunken brawl one night. All other nights music until at least 11 pm and back on the next morning. No camp host or rangers present. First and last visit.

I have done most of my camping in forest settings so the initial shock of camping without many trees took a few minutes to wear off. Other than that we had some great views, access to the lake (in the distance) which we walked down to, a playground and lots of open space for kids, and overall a very good...

We stopped in here to check out the part and the facilities on a 30 minutes pass. What a wonderful spot. It is off season, quiet, with only a handful of campers, RVs and boats. Only one of the boat landings were open and the parking lots (many) were empty. We could only imagine what it it like in the...
