Loved this quiet resort surrounded with oak covered foothills. Deer and elk roam around the community.mmthere are local hikes and more strenuous hikes in the mountain park. Good food at the golf course restaurant. Enjoyed Mediterranean food at Petra in town. Great for people who like a quiet getaway in natural surroundings. If you are a bird watcher there are... More

I've been to this resort many times and enjoyed staying there. Not this time. It is really starting to show its age. There is also a new manager who really doesn't have her act together. Its like one hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing. The water heater kept on going out, All I had was cold water... More

As a refreshing anecdote to exiting Los Angeles traffic, we found this gem of quiet tucked fifteen minutes off of the freeway in a small bowl of hillside and sky. A "one bedroom" gets you a one bedroom condo with living room, kitchen, washer dryer and a bathtub in case you feel the need to soak the smog off your... More

We were so surprised when we went into our one-bedroom unit at Stallion Springs that the furniture and lay-out was for TALL people. All the furniture is oversize, and the bathroom sink is very very high. We aren't very tall folks, and so we had to make some adjustments. For instance, instead of using the kitchen table (which had bar... More

My wife and I planned a two week trip to California with one week at the Stallion Springs Resort. We'd never been to California before so we wanted to travel around a bit and see different sights. The resort is in an area known as the high desert and located south of Bakersfield. There's a golf course on the property... More

Visited in May, loved it. Don't expect lots of activities, but wi if good. Sink in kitchen is an issue. Should be addressed probably as most people cook their meals here. But rooms are extremely clean and great place close to LA to unwind.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at this out of the way place we had never heard of before! There was so much to do in the area - from desert to mountains to farmlands and sequoias too! Don't miss the drive along the Kern River and through the canyon. Spectacular! We ate dinner the first night at the Horse Thief... More

This resort is located adjacent to the Stallion Springs golf course, 15 miles drive from the town of Tehachapi. We have had some great wildlife encounters here - the highlight being watching 2 bobcats cross the golf course as we ate breakfast on our deck. What a magic experience! The unit is very well set up, apart from the kitchen,... More

Stayed here on an exchange through RCI. Probably one of the top 2 or 3 resorts we've experienced in the last 25 years. Unit was immaculate with plenty of space. Unlike most timeshare resorts, the living room furniture was actually comfortable. Yes, the kitchen sink is small - almost comically so. But, since we didn't cook a single meal, it... More

We came back to Stallion Springs to check out what we had missed on our previous visited when we were evacuated because of a wildfire. The resort has individual one-story bungalow apartments. On our last visit we had a two-bedroomed, this time a one-bedroomed. overlooking the golf course. The accommodation is spacious and the kitchen is extremely well stocked with... More
