Detailed Reviews
We loved this charming place on the peaceful West Shore! Dick and Ulli as well as John were very friendly and we felt welcomed. We stayed in the Sugarpine cabin, which we will definitely want to stay in again when we return. The full kitchen really made us feel at home and the bathtub was a huge plus after playing (& falling) in the snow! It’s close to everything, but feels like worlds away. We love this area, it is truly magical and so beautiful. We couldn’t think of a better place to stay!

Firstly, apologies for not leaving a review much sooner (we stayed June 2018!) but after reading about the dreadful wildfires that have struck around Tahoe and the locale I thought I’d check in to see how things are and trust that all is well at Tahoma Meadows. I’m glad that it seems you have escaped the worst thus far and sincerely hope this continues to be the case.
We really enjoyed our stay back in 2018 which was part of a road trip from San Francisco to Las Vegas with lots of stops along the way. Dick and Ulli were great hosts, really friendly while ensuring we had total privacy in our very cosy cabin and giving us excellent advice on local places of interest and our onward route to Yosemite. We enjoyed a couple of delicious breakfasts prepared by John in a very relaxing ambience and can definitely recommend the accommodations (which are also very pet friendly, though sadly we were unable to bring our own four-legged friend).

We stayed at Tahoma Meadows Cottages for 2 nights, and it gave us some much needed rest after visiting multiple cities. The area is beautiful and there is lots of hiking close by. The staff were very kind. Covid precautions are still in place, so we didn’t get a chance to experience the breakfast we’d seen people rave about in other reviews. They made sure we had plenty of food, tea, and coffee to have a good breakfast in our cottage each morning though.

Super friendly staff and cozy cottage to stay in. It is in a great location for all things Tahoe! Very nice and comfortable place to stay! Charming. Also a great place if you are traveling with another couple or family because you can stay right next to each other and open the adjoining door if you wish to do so.

We came up during the massive winter storm, taking us 10 hours to arrive from Los Angeles. Much to our relief, the cabin (Sugar Pine) was very welcoming and warm, with a beautiful open floor plan that was perfect for our family and dog. The place was very clean. And the owners were great! They kept checking in on us to make sure we had everything we needed. Absolutely beautiful. Would definitely do it again.

We were stuck in Tahoe during the epic snow dump on Christmas week in 2021. All the roads leading out of Tahoe were closed, we quickly got a cabin with Tahoma meadows cottage. We had 2 small kids and a dog. They cleared the road for us to get to our cabin which was really cute. Had a nice fire and awesome claw footed bathtub and nice toiletries. The thing that was amazing esp in this day and age is that after we had checked out of the cabin the next morning, the staff called us asking if we still needed the room otherwise they would open it up to other stranded travelers. I was so amazed by their kindness bc there were hardly any vacancies left in Tahoe, all the roads were still closed and the snow kept coming.

This was my first visit to Tahoma Meadows but it won’t be my last! The cottages and grounds are charming with lots of attention to detail. The sun cottage I stayed in was lovingly decorated and had everything I needed. The grounds had benches, Adirondack chairs and hammocks spread throughout. The property is located along the highway but it felt peaceful and noise was not an issue. The bike path runs right alongside the property and next time I will definitely bring my bicycle for a quick ride to Tahoe City or beautiful Meeks Bay.
I will be back. Danke schön!

Cozy cabins on beautiful grounds. Clean and well maintained.
Our room was small. We had a service dog so we were put in a dog friendly room. The fireplace doesn’t create atmosphere, its more of a glorified heater. But it does heat.

Went to Tahoe for a solo hiking trip. The cabin was close to pretty much everything you could need: groceries, rentals, slopes and hiking. I absolutely loved my cabin (Bears Den), it was well suited for up to two people. The fireplace kept me warm through the night as well as the incredibly soft sheets. The owners are extremely helpful and ensure you have the best stay possible. I will returning again next year!!

We have been staying here for a number of years and will continue to do so. We’ve stayed in many of the cabins. The location is perfect for us because it’s near the places we like to visit. The cabins are clean and comfortable/cosy. The setting is beautiful. It’s quiet. Dick and Ulli are wonderful hosts. Tahoma market is just down the street. The Dog and Bear jus down the street has a very good choice of beers and delicious food — check out their menu on line.

The Treehouse has sleeping sofa in living room, queen bed upstairs and a separate room with two twin beds. The kitchen, living room and outside patio and picnic area could be used for visiting. There are about 8 stairs to walk up to patio.
