Clean. Probably more for families than couples. Reasonably nice room with lots of amenities. Good bed, easy access to beach. On the less-side, it's not quiet - lots of voices and activity (all hours) through the thin walls. But - very good place to plop down when you're doing outdoor activities around North Lake Tahoe.

Great location, friendly staff, nice, clean accommodation at Cabin 405. Our stay was for one night only this time; but we will try to visit the Tahoe Sands again in the future, hopefully getting a cabin on the lake beach side for the next visit and staying for more nights.

Couldn't have chosen a better resort for my first time visiting Lake Tahoe! Had the best experience there and their staff are super friendly! Iris and Jenny were the receptionist that assisted me and they were sweet enough to go out of their way to provide me with information on places to visit! Their rooms are very spacious and nice!... This year we got a refurbished cabin. New flooring inside, new sleeper sofa for my friend, and our deck was now Trex. A big improvement over the cabins before renovation. Also borrowed a beach umbrella (don't remember those from previous years, but I may just not have noticed) to spend some hours at the lake. The improvements made for a... More

First the good: The check-in process was easy, the front desk help was friendly and solid. My cottage (non-lakefront) was so cute and absolutely clean as can be. Kitchen was well stocked, sheets and towels sparkling white and clean. Parking was plentiful. I had a murphy-bed unit and surprisingly, that thing was pretty comfortable. Bed-making linens for the foldout were... More

We loved the availability to the beach. The rooms were clean and the kitchenettes were well stocked. There were plenty of activities to keep the guests busy. The pavilion is a great feature too. I would just suggest that there be a portable fan in the rooms to use when the temperatures rise as we needed some sort of circulation... More

Been going to Tahoe since 2002 this is my home resort . There is a lot to be desired as far as the complex goes . But if you're looking for a fine family place right off the water this is second to none .

Love the staff!! Property was filthy, goose poop everywhere. Patio tables at any location where dirty. Including all BBQ grills. This property has an amazing location and amenities sadly not the level of care to match.

We enjoy this lakeside resort as a tradition with our family every summer. Although it is difficult to get summertime reservations because the resort is so popular. We take advantage of all of the amenities that are offered. The beach is spectacular, and the casual atmosphere provides fun for those wishing an active vacation, to those just wanting to sit...
