First time in California and was recommend the Cedar Glen Lodge. From the moment we arrived to when we checked out everything was first class. Stunning location, wonderful staff, beautiful surroundings.
We enjoyed our stay at Cedar Glen Lodge. Our arrival was slightly chaotic with cleaning still ongoing after check-in time, but it turned out OK in the end. We found our cabin to be cute, with a large bathroom. However, the place was very drafty near the door and windows, and often cold in spots even with the heater going. The kitchen was well-stocked for all cooking needs, but you do need to make sure you clean, dry, and put away all dishes before you leave or there’s an extra cleaning fee. The location was perfect, with a beautiful stretch of the lake accessible across the street. Other people mentioned a bottle of wine in their reviews, but we didn’t receive that. Charlie was a great staff person and we appreciated his efforts to make our stay a pleasant one.
We absolutely loved our stay at Cedar Glen Lodge! Charlie and the rest of the staff at the property went above and beyond with recommendations in the area and other efforts to welcome us to Tahoe. The clean/cozy room was perfect for our trip with a fully stocked kitchenette. Parking was easy right outside our room. The hot tub and cozy lobby were also great amenities to have on the property. We would absolutely stay here again! Highly recommend!
I spent so much time looking for an accommodation, because my wife is very picky...hell I can sleep on cardboard boxes.... I booked the Romance suite - which is a standalone cabin and we have a gas fire place and our own kitchen. My wife absolutely enjoyed and loved this place - she especially loved the bed because it was comfortable, and the fireplace because it kept her warm. The Bathroom was clean and bright. The kitchen was pretty nicely equipped as well, so we were able to get groceries and cook in the cabin; the staff was also kind enough to let me use the grill for grilling. We baked fish, grilled meat, drank wine and ate cheese in the nicely warmed up cabin. Every morning, we buttered up the frying pan and had fried eggs. The staff is amazing as well; coffee every morning, both regular and decaf. One day, we were driving back from a flurry of snow and called to plow our parking and cabin area - when we arrived our area was plowed and it was easier for me to park in the snow. The staff even provided me with a parking space that allowed me to get in and out easily. Location is great too; there is a quiet beach across the street. It's only a 10 min walk and I went there a few times with my wife to enjoy the sunset and sunrise. This lodge is very nice and worth staying when you visit Tahoe....I can't thank the staff enough for their hospitality. Thanks!…
After lots of research I booked a stand alone cabin based on the outstanding reviews on Tripadvisor. Check in was quick and the staff were friendly and answered the few questions I had about the pool area. The grounds are well kept and there are tubes, ice chests, etc for the beach located across the street. The sauna was closed during our visit but the pool and hot tub were available. There is a small but fun putting green and volleyball/badminton area. The lounge is no longer in operation and only offers free coffee and tea in the morning. We stayed in unit 7, the free standing one bedroom lodge. There was a lot of road noise since the property is located on North Lake Boulevard and there was road work nearby (pretty much everywhere in the summer in Tahoe). The unit was a little dated and I found all the "notes" to be annoying, just give a list rather then litter the room with notes. The sofa bed is about as bad as you would expect and is NOT recommended for an adult. The sofa bed is too short; maybe suitable for a child but not anyone else. The cancellation policy is punitive and not normal given the other resorts where I've stayed. At the time of visit we were dealing with the Mosquito fire and lucked out that the smoke was not thick when we visited. If the smoke had been an issue we would have had to cancel the res and would have had to pay between 50-100% of the stay. Be sure to read the fine print on the check in receipt because there are more rules here about washing your own dishes, smoking, etc. None of these impacted us, but I wanted to point them out. We paid well over $500/night to stay at this resort and I would not recommend nor will my family stay here again. There are way too many nice properties in the Tahoe basin that have more amenities and are significantly less expensive.…
Such a beautiful property, wonderful green grounds, great units with well equipped kitchen, close to downtown and many hiking trails. What’s not to love about this place. We actually went in the midst of the pandemic (summer 2021, system didn’t have a choice as it’s a late review) and they took great precautions in ensuring the safety of the guests. We stayed in one of the stand-alone units and felt very safe. While at the time there was no room service, similar to most hotels, they did remove trash that you could leave outside as well as fresh towels daily. They have picnic benches outside that we used on several occasions be it lunch/dinner or just for coffee/tea. You can see lake Tahoe from the grounds. There’s also a pool for use. The property manager provides ingredients for s’mores that you can make in the fire pit. They even offered chairs and other beach stuff for us to take to the beach and enjoy which was icing on the cake. Loved it and will absolutely stay here again.…
We had a team trip here and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and help make our stay a memorable one. The firepit and jacuzzi are a huge bonus, and the cozy cabin-style rooms are great! Plus a very short walk to the lakeshore. Highly recommended.
Very comfortable lodging. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Great location on the "quiet side" of Lake Tahoe with nearby access to restaurants and groceries. Would go back in a minute. Thanks Franco and Allen
We enjoyed a two night stay at Cedar Glen Lodge. We booked the Romance Cabin in early Nov. 2021. The location is ideal as it is across the street from the lake a very near to restaurants. Our cabin was very well maintained to the point that it felt brand new. The grounds are beautiful and neat and tidy. The owners brought over a bottle of wine and a bag of coffee soon after check in which was very much appreciated. They are extremely kind and friendly and they felt like friends soon after meeting them. We can’t recommend a stay here more highly. We were at the beginning of a two week tour of northern CA and this was a great start.
Idyllic location and accommodations on the north side of Lake Tahoe. Exceptionally clean, cabin-like feel, with very comfortable furniture and bed, kitchen appliances and a view of the lake (Room 23). The grounds are stunning and meticulously maintained - swimming pool, hot tub, putting green, badminton net and designated area to walk the dog. Due to covid, they have set up a great system to pay online and pick up keys in a no-contact method. Thank you to Franco, Alan and the team for creating such a magical place for us to stay on our road trip. We would love to return again!
