For starters, if you have never been to Tahoe then go there now and stay at the Cedar Glen (unless you like a more Vegas style trip, then head to the bright lights!). Absolutely perfect location across the water from lake, backing onto the forest and peaceful when using their BBQ facilities. The overall property is superbly laid out allowing plenty of space for relaxation, the hot tub is lovely and dont hesitate to ask Franco to spark up the BBQ to cook you ribs, burgers and corn whilst enjoying a nice cold lager! Would like to thank Franco, Allan and Martha for making our stay so enjoying and we will most certainly be back in Tahoe again and will be heading to the Cedar Glen Lodge.
I researched many Lake Tahoe resorts when planning this vacation, as I was planning it for a family reunion. Cedar Glen proved to be the perfect place for my father-in-law's 80th birthday celebration. Our group of 20 people had 2 studios, a 1-bedroom cabin, and two 2-bedroom units for 4 days. With family ranging in age from 80 to 2-years old, there was something for everyone at the resort. We easily could have spent more time relaxing poolside, or in the lovely grass common area. Franco and Martha genuinely go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. They mean it when they tell you to ask if you need anything. They were very accommodating with everything, from getting the barbeque started, to holding suitcases for us on the last day while we went to the beach. There are other similar resorts around North shore, but none are as clean, charming or as well appointed as Cedar Glen. I would rather stay in these beautiful cabins than be on the lakeside. It was very easy for our party to cross the street and walk to a nice public beach. The cabins seem recently renovated or they are just kept immaculately clean. Our cabin had a kitchen with modern stainless kitchen appliances, a pull-out sofa in the living area, kitchen table set with dishes. Ironing board and iron, hairdryer, beach towels, safe, extra pillows and bedding, and toiletries. The décor is tasteful mountain lodge without going over the top kitsch. The resort has an area that provides small drink coolers, inflated inner tubes, and beach chairs for loan. We also took advantage of the fire pit and complimentary S’mores every night. My son’s favorite resort feature was the putting green. He would head out there every morning before the rest of the family was awake. The continental breakfast every morning was superb. There was a large array of pastries, bagels, toast and English muffins. Also available was fresh fruit, hard boiled eggs, cereal, granola and yogurt. Coffee, tea and hot cocoa are provided all day in the lodge. Thank you Cedar Glen; we will be back again.…
Beautiful lodging! We stayed in a room that was like a joint cabin, but still private. Very warm and cozy. They are environmentally conscious which I also appreciate. Lovely hot tub and sauna; continental breakfast has lots of choices and they leave fruit and hot drinks throughout the day. Games to play in the lodge next to the fire too. They are very knowledgeable and happy to advise. Loved everything about it!
Cedar Glen is perfect. The cabins are quaint, cozy and clean. We really enjoyed coming back after a long hike and relaxing in the room and using the hot tub or sauna. The staff are wonderful and so welcoming! Really can’t say enough good things about this place! Location is great as well, very quick drive to Tahoe City or Truckee. We can’t wait to come back!
My husband and I ended up here after searching several locations in North lake. It was a great find. The beautiful lobby and friendly staff made the choice to stay easy. The breakfast was good, very welcoming. Rooms were comfortable and quiet and the property was adorable. The pool and hot tub area was a good size and they had a sauna which was a nice addition. Superior stay. Will return for sure.
