We were half the average age of the typical customer which had it benefits and drawbacks. Very quaint and relaxing break. Wine and appetisers at 5 were popular and tasty. Private beach wasn't too private but still good (but go to north shore for sand). Breakfast was slightly odd but filling.

Having a rest in such a great place worth to go there. Don't hesitate ! The location, the rustic retreat room, the home-made breakfast and different each morning, all is here to make your stay a success. Note the little bathroom (only for 2), the access to the local beach of the lake, and a little fridge in the wardrobe.

We recently spent one week in the Sail Away room. Very cute. Breakfasts were fantastic, as well as was the afternoon wine and treats. The private beach club is directly across the street and is very nice. When we checked out, they gave us a couple of cookies for the road! Will definatly be back.

We stayed at this great place for the first time 26 years ago for our tenth anniversary celebration. It remains consistently comfortable and enjoyable. The rooms are so full of individual character and are comfy & clean. The breakfasts are delicious with hearty offerings including home baked goods. Hors de'ouerves in evening are a nice touch too. We were fortunate... More

Had a relaxing couple of days in Tahoe City. We stayed in the Stagecoach room where We enjoyed the western decorations. Breakfast was delicious and they nicely accommodated our food restrictions. Includes access to local beach you can walk to so you don't have to fight with others to find a parking space. Complimentary wine and homemade snacks in the... More

We stay only for one night (what a mistake!!) we would stay forever. Our room (enchanted) was really nice, new bathroom, comforatable bed, quiet, and really friendly service. The owner offered in the evening some wine and appetizers to the guests. Privet access to the beach. Perfect to relax, enjoy and forget the troubles of the city. Totally recomendable.

You don't get a room, you get a suite that is private, comfy, cozy, clean and each cottage has it's own has a unique theme. The bed and chairs are comfortable, the linens top-notch, the toiletries and shower are great. Wine (etc) in the evening and an amazingly delicious assortment of freshly made breakfast items (from muffins and breads to... More

We enjoyed two nights here this July 2016. We arrived early. Early check in was not available. A shame but not their fault. After a pleasant trip out around Tahoe City we returned and booked into our room. Parking is not right next to the cabins so you will need to wheel your cases around a hundred yards or so... More

My wife and I had the benefit of staying at the Cottage Inn this past week. It was beautiful, relaxing, and the staff were exceptionally welcoming. This was our first time staying at North Lake Tahoe, as we usually visit the south shore. We had a wonderful time and were surprised at the number of attractions, restaurants, and the calming... When I go on vacation I like to have a lot of time to relax, read, meditate and rejuvenate. The cottage inn is just the place to do this. The Hunter's Lodge was small but charming. The breakfasts were just fabulous and from 5 to 7 each night you can enjoy wine and light snacks. The open courtyard of the... More
