This “oldest B & B west of the Mississippi” is a great deal when you consider refreshments in the afternoon and breakfast. In the afternoon there were fresh-baked cookies and so-refreshing lemonade on this particularly hot September day. In the morning coffee, tea and cocoa are available at 7:30. At 9:00 am breakfast was a fluffy artichoke quiche, muffins, fresh...

The rooms are small and the bathrooms a jigsaw puzzle of doors and fixtures - hard to get around - but we looked at several overpriced B&B's and this was the best option. The hotel is quaint and nicely decorated in historic decor. We had a room at the end of the hall - with windows that open directly onto...

Love this type of non-corporate lodging, even with its quirks & imperfections. SCI is a gem, with 17 rooms spread between the original house & various outbuildings. Each is unique, some with swinging beds, others with fireplaces, sitting rooms & other interesting touches. The property seems a bit of a maze at first, with most parking in the back in...

Sutter Creek is an appealing historic relic of the early gold mining era deserving of the 'bucket list' places to visit. The Sutter Creek Inn, a B&B is set-back on Main Street, offers a variety of rooms, some in the main house, the others in assorted buildings behind. We stayed in the comfortable 'Carriage House' room with A/C and TV...

We liked this hotel as it was a little different. There are 17 rooms all of which are different. We stayed in the Upper Wash Room. The room was good but there is very little space down the side of the bed and there are steps up to the bed as it is high. But all this adds to the...

We stayed in Stephen's room...very eclectic. Great fireplace and nice bathroom. The breakfast was very nice. They had eggs and corn bread and ham and a nice fruit platter. There is always coffee, tea and hot cocoa. Afternoon cookies and cider. Nice place.

Great location with wine tasting, restaurants, shops and historical buildings all within walking distance of the Inn. Lindsey, the owner was very hospitable and pleasant. They have one room with 2 twin beds ideal for 2 women. It was adorable with sitting area in front of the fireplace where you could bring in your own wine. The main house over...

The accomodations were as good as always seeing that we have been going there for the past 20 yrs. on the first weekend of December. Surprisingly, the owners, however, need a little brush up in the field of hospitality. The staff was great as usual. It may have only been a "bad weekend." We will return.

I can't praise this inn enough; it was perfect. Fantastic choice of rooms, all unique and charming. Great hot breakfast served only at 9, with nicely set community tables. Open friendly gentleman owner and warm efficient young man to check you in. Right in the center of this charming town so you can walk to the three acceptable restaurants.this inn...
