I will be booking again for our next stay in the Bay! Breakfast bar was fully stocked and ran late, which is great if you want to sleep in a bit longer. Considering the beds were amazingly comfortable.
The complimentary breakfast was good with variety, the rooms were spacious and comfortable, was very nice. There are places to eat near by. Staff was helpful and friendly. Did not try the pool or other amenities.
Because I travel, I stay in countless hotels. Whenever I can, I head to the Grand. It is by far, the best of everything I need. The bathroom has a soaking tub and 2 sinks!! The room is so comfortable, the mattress, (I can actually sleep all night on it) , the pillows, the spacious space, the cozy robe … then there is the breakfast! Amazing!! A plethora of choices and everything fresh. I can’t stop there- the staff- they are kind, friendly, and very accommodating. The front desk staff, Mona, is joyful, thoughtful and makes me feel so special. She beams a great welcoming smile, even behind the mask! When I stay other places, I mumble, “ if I we’re only at the Grand!”
The breakfast, gym facilities and room were great. The hotel was well run, clean and allowed up to check out late so we could get ready for a wedding which was very nice! The beds were a little soft for our liking, but the king size was great.
Our room was large with both a tub and individual shower. Stay included an excellent breakfast with made-to-order omelets. Happy hour with complimentary wine of choice. Friendly and helpful staff and free parking
I stayed in one of the newly remodeled rooms & it was perfect. The room was huge & very clean. Check in was super easy. All of the staff members were nice & helpful. Breakfast was a plus. I highly recommend this hotel.
Grand hotel remains for us a great hotel, very clean, large rooms, very comfortable beds with good breakfast! Staff very respectful and helpful. I highly recommend this hotel! This is a gem of a hotel in San Jose area!
I went to this hotel for a solo getaway. There are hundreds of rooms along El Camino, but you couldn't hear any traffic noise at all at this property, because it's tucked back. My room had a fireplace, so that was very comforting to give soothing ambience during the rainy weekend. This hotel is not a part of a chain, I believe, and it felt like it had superior amenities than local chain places, and a few extra touches. I would definitely go again.
Totally unsatisfied. Room not as advertised: two queens, not one king and no crib as promised when a call was placed prior to arrival. Less than clean. Room phone not charged. Room service unreliable. Will not return.
We had a very pleasant experience at this hotel when we travelled in Dec 2022. We stayed in building 2, adjecent to the main building - so our review is specific to this building. - Spacious, CLEAN room - QUIET central air conditioning system - Clean bathrooms (our room had a tub AND a shower, and a dual vanity) - Good breakfast spread - Blackout curtains that work - Great location close to many restaurants. Loved everything about this hotel. One of our best stays ever for under $100. A tip to the hotel manager: - Breakfast area was crowded. Please consider replacing some of the 6/8 seater tables in adjacent room with 4 seater tables, to allow more families to use them. - Please consider adding a second waffle maker - everyone wants waffles at breakfast and the line is long
