Arrival reception nice enough, offered us ground or first floor, I said which would be quieter and gave us first floor - hold that thought. Corridors a bit 60s but room completely different and very modern in style. Only here for one night on way to airport which is about half hour away. Breakfast a buffet with melamine plates, paper cups for coffee, plastic for juice. Real cutlery though, that was a step up from a couple of places we stayed. Hot food available in buffet too.. So, onto 'thought'. Only one nights stay in a queit room. We were woken at 07.20 by hoovering! I even went out of room to establish where it was coming from. The room diagonally opposite. They obviously started with the door open and were behind a closed door when I went out. Struggled to get back to sleep to no avail. On check out, having NOT been asked if everything was ok (never do when there is a problem) different receptionist to check in. We said didn't appreciate being woken up . Said cleaners dont start till 8. She looked up our room, 'ah yes' the room above the one in question had fallen asleep with bath running and had gone through ceiling. Needed to get it cleaned up asap. I do understand problem but 07.20 is too early when other guests are around, did we call reception? NO I was trying to get back to sleep. She half heartedly apologised for 'not being able to resolve the issue.' Hotel created the issue, ok another guest, but please more consideration for everyone else. Luckily we wont be coming back as was final night of three weeks in CA, not the end I wished for. A good nights sleep before a 10 hour flight was what I had hoped for.…
I enjoy the Wild Palms, and Shey remembered us from a year ago, and was super understanding after our event cancelled last minute, and we had to cancel 3 of a 4 night stay. I love the rooms! The price is a tad high, but there is parking for my 28ft 5th wheel, the staff is so accommodating, and the free breakfast ROCKS!!
I have stayed in this hotel quite a lot as I have business in the area and live in another region. I love the staff and especially enjoy being greeted by Ryan, Fawn, Shay, Rueben, and Janett at the front desk with newest member- Diane joint the wonderful staff. The property is lovely, clean, safe and small enough to be comfortable. The kitchen staff prepares a great selection for guests and keep the breakfast room clean and help procure items. It’s a fun stay for family and kids as the pool area is a great layout with amazing inflatable swim items. A firepit and separate spa are a great draw.
Old old old motel, not a hotel. Breakfast was good though, but small area for all guests. I can't believe this room was basically $300 per night. Highway robbery!!! Won't stay again, rather drive from San Francisco.
You can really feel like you're on a tropical vacation. I wish however that the hot tub was hotter and the pool maybe bigger.. But the courtyard is sunny and sweet and you can get around the entire building with ease. The breakfast is a great plus. (hot food). Rooms are super sweetbut could be a little bigger. Windows could be larger.
