Cluttered, dirty, in need of repairs! Bedding was clean, floors were vaccuumed, windows were dirty and not in very good working condition, missing screens or holes in screens. Tile floor in bathroom appeared to be clean except around the edges where you could see a line of dirt from where mop had pushed it against wall. Tub appeared clean but... More

We were exploring the California coast and as it was getting late decided to try and get lodging for the evening, they had a room available and it was clean so we stayed, man and woman were nice and pleasant, had an assortment of food for breakfast, lots of fruit and veggies plus some pastries.

Coming through on a spontaneous road trip in the 'off season' for some winter beach action, I decided to stop here as thge sign said 'Zimmer MIT frühstük'. Sounds good to me. I love the funky artsy atmosphere. Cozy room and cool public space. Looking for a 5star resort with pampering doodads? Move on. Want a comfy room and breakfast?... More

It's cheap, but messy. The rooms were clean, but not sparkling and very, very small and cluttered. The yard was full of collectables as well. It's interesting. Our dogs enjoyed themselves. The breakfast was good. It's walking distance to restaurants and the beach.

Location, location, location - and hey, the price is amazing too - not a lot of options in that area. Just steps from the glorious beach and right in the middle of town. Not for those looking for posh accoms, this is more like staying at your favorite eclectic auntie's house. It had everything I needed, and was clean enough... More

We stayed there for several nights for our honeymoon trip to CA in November. Margaret goes out of her way to make you feel right at home. She's been there for over 25yrs. so she must be doing something right! It's not a swanky place but is more than adequate. Comfortable, clean enough for us ( no problems), GREAT location,... More

I have rented this entire property. It was amazing. It can sleep more than you will ever imagine. Its location to the beach is very close to one of the best beaches in Northern California. The house is huge with an outdoor bar and BBQ. If you are having a large event. Book this place. Very old timey but functional... More

This b&b is an incredibly unique experience, if that's what you're looking for. The owners were nice but the entire place was crowded, cluttered and needed a good cleaning. The owners were great about letting us heat up our dinners and eat in the communal breakfast area, but had the TV blaring the whole time. The bathrooms weren't very clean... More

We stayed for one night, it was great to just walk around the town from here as it was close. If you want posh, top shelf sorta things this isn't it. If you like funky and eclectic it is. We stayed in the all wood room and watched VHS tapes late at night. Perhaps the prices were lowered since the... More

I have stayed at the Redwood Haus a number of times, and it is just plain wonderful! It is eclectic, and funky, non fru fru, and comfortable. The proprietor, Margaret is a fine and sensitive lady, and is truly interested in her guests’ comfort. It is tremendous going to sleep with the sound of the breakers not far off, and... More
