Whether it was the breakfast, the furnishings, the welcome and advice about the local area, the comfort, this place has it all. The landlady, Connie, has gone to great lengths to find out what guests really want and has provided it. If you like to relax in a delightful patio surrounded by about 30 humming birds, this is the place... More

Spent one night here, a nice place in the countryside west of King's Canyon. It is very rustic, with 2 dogs, horses, cows, etc.The owner, Connie was very friend;ly and helpful, as was her assistant. Beds were comfortable, rooms were big, breakfast was very good. On the negative side, there are 2 dogs, so not the place for you if you... More

Connie is a very nice lady who knows her stuff. The room was big enough to sleep the for of us, but unfortunately the roll-away bed for daughter no. 2 was of too poor quality. Nice breakfast, nice talks. Close to Sequioa and Kings Canyon. Much further away from Yosemite than I though (but that is my mistake). Connie duly... More

Stupendo! You feel like home, the host is nice and kind and the dogs too! The house is cosy and silent, the countryside is amazing, with horses and cows and hummingbirds! The breakfast supergood with a pleasant conversation with the host and other guests!

This B&B is hidden down a little side road, and as you approach, you see horses, cows, maybe the dogs. The house is spacious and Connie, the host, is gracious, informative, and welcoming. Her two dogs are friendly and they all make you feel at home. Connie was very interesting to talk with and very accommodating. My favorite quote from... More

If you want to experience good ole American hospitality, this is the place. Connie and her dogs are super friendly and the chats you have around the breakfast table with people from all over the world are priceless. Breakfast is fresh chopped nectarines, Spanish omelette, and warm scones with jam. Not an English breakfast, but tasty and filling. Connie loves... More

After a tiring day touring the canyons it was a pleasure to arrive at The Branded Calf and be shown to huge, welcoming rooms. The owner urges you to treat her home like your own, and she means it. Guests have use of the lounge and kitchen. In the evening you can choose to stay in your rooms or watch... More

Connie is a down to earth woman who runs this B & B. She is engaging and was very accommodating when I told her I had a dietary requirement due to a health condition. The rooms were large and spacious and the breakfasts more than adequate. I especially liked the local fruits. It was also nice to meet people from... More

We spent the night here after hiking all day in Yosemite and prior to heading into Kings Canyon NP. The rooms were large and very clean. Connie was very welcoming and made us feel at home. The beds were very comfortable. My son and I were able to play a game of pool and sit on the back patio while... More

There is not much to add to what other reviewers have said about this B&B. The hostess (Connie) and during our visit one of her sons, were welcoming and friendly. With two Australian shepherd dogs (like Welsh border collies) and three horses this is not a stopover for those with animal allergies. For the rest of us it provides spacious... More
