Calling this a "resort" is clearly wrong - there is nothing that works in that place: We had 3 rooms but only got one key - for the two adjacent rooms we used the key on one and then the connecting door - for the third room we just had to leave the door unlocked. One room had no working...

We spent one night here - only because it was late and we literally could not find anything else. The area is very remote and accommodations are very limited. I have to say that I wish we'd driven on even if it was late. The room was neither clean nor secure. There are two doors and neither had any kind...

Clean, basic, nice people. No AC. No wifi in the room. Weak wifi at the restaurant. No cell phone coverage. Noisy, can hear clearly, people speaking in adjoining room. Interesting location. Needs renovation. Food okay. Definitely roughing it.

Let me preface this by saying the owners and cafe staff are lovely people. But I do think that their idea of what are acceptable or "upgraded" accommodations are not in line with reality. I actually emailed them and inquired about the accommodations and both people that emailed me back cheerfully concurred that the accommodations that I would be getting...

It's not a resort. The name must have been made when the owners where drunk. So lets start again. Resort NO, Fancy NO. But for being in the middle of nowhere. It was nice for a nights stay. The staff at the restaurant where the best. Some of the nicest people I have met in a long time. The restaurant...

Pierpoint Springs Resort is a motel, restaurant, bar, market, gift shop, and post office. There are 6 motel rooms built in 1962. They have been refurbished over the years and have new carpet, chest of drawers, table, one chair, real wood headboards, are fairly new and in excellent condition. I thought the mattress was a bit soft but I didn’t...

We needed a place to stay inside Sequoia National Forest as home base for our travels during the US government shutdown. The folks at the lodge were friendly and helpful from the moment they answered my first (of several) calls. Heather was very helpful with Park info and held our room until we arrived in the wee hours (as our...
