I booked this hotel for my brother and when he arrived he was asked to give a card for the deposit he gave the card and was charged $100 + $25 + additional $25. He received a notification on his phone( see image below) that the charges went through immediately through the hotel front desk claims that no charges came through and that he needed to pay them in an additional form of payment or he would not be able to check in when he showed them them the charges on his phone they still refused to check him in after waiting an hour and the hotel continuing to claim he had not paid he had to go to the best western across the street. this reservation was made through Priceline and after three repeated attempts have been denied by Priceline and the hotel for a refund for the cost of the room that he never stated in. The hotel ended up eventually refunding $125 of the $150 for the deposit but refuse to refund the hotel reservation charges even though the hotel room was never used and he had to go across the street and stay at a different hotel. Priceline has contacted the hotel and the manager Sam Ahmed has refused to refund the hotel charges even though I have emailed him multiple times a screenshot of the charges for the deposit they were taken out and. Priceline and Holiday Inn Both denied blame and refused to pay back the cost of the room which was never used. I have attached a screenshot of the charges that came out of the account for the deposit that they claimed they never received. Please message me with any questions if this has happened to you I would be happy to share my experience and verify that this did in fact happen I would also be happy to speak again with the hotel and update this review if they take responsibility.

We are sorry to hear that you formed such a poor impression of our hotel, even though we did issue a refund of $125. Please know that we do not have a $25 reservation fee, and we will be more than happy to recontact you to clear any confusion. Also, upon check-in, the hotel authorizes the card for incidentals to cover room charges, taxes, fees, and incidental charges. For prepaid third-party reservations, the card is authorized to cover non-covered fees and possible incidental charges. Authorizing a credit card for incidental charges is almost universal in the hotel industry; however, the amount authorized varies by the type of hotel. The screenshot that you have provided in the review is simply an authorization and not a charge. At times, individuals may receive a text notification of the authorization by their issuing credit card company; however, these are not charges but simply the authorization. Hotel charges are posted on the day the guest checks out. We hope this addresses the matter to your satisfaction. It was in general a nice experience at Holiday Inn Express SFO but be aware of the parking fee ($12.99 + $1.04 parking fee and tax per day) and Hospitality Fee ($5.99 per day) they charge on top of what you pay at booking. The confirmation I got did not mention anything about the hospitality fee, and when I arrived I was informed about the parking fee not the hospitality fee either. I would recommend they make more transparent pricing so that we make better decisions when booking. Also when I arrive they did not have a clean room ready yet, making me a bit uneasy at this period. I would expect that they have the room at least 1 day vacant before another guest check-in but that might go beyond the standard.

Not only is this hotel awful, they are CROOKS! They will absolutely steal your money - so if you want to have a nice stay, AVOID THIS PLACE. Booked a room with them and then received an email stating free cancellations for COVID. Trip got cancelled so I cancelled the room. They billed me anyway AFTER I talked to them and they said it wouldn't post. I submitted fraud with my card company - guess what...they DISPUTED THE CHARGE! They then "signed" the dispute with a scribble and a line instead of a real signature and listed "MGMT" as the "name" on file. They KNOW they are deceptively stealing money from people during this time in spite of their CEO's pledge that there'd be no cancellation fees. AVOID AVOID AVOID

I loved my experience at the Fairfield in Millbrae. Razika is always warm and welcoming; her hospitality is top notch. The rooms are clean, and the beds are very comfortable. I highly recommend this hotel.

Website says they have shuttle service to the airport. Upon checking in I was told shuttle service had been canceled months before. Huge inconvenience. Website should be updated. Room and customer service were satisfactory.

Since we cannot guarantee both the safety of shuttle passengers that are traveling from international locations and maintain the necessary six feet of separation between shuttle passengers, this service has been temporarily withdrawn. The suspension of our shuttle services has been alerted on all brand and third-party websites. This is a temporary suspension; therefore, please call the hotel directly in the future to find out if our services have resumed.
