1st) this place has a shuttle even thought they do not advertise it. we normal rent a car when we come here. but this time we came in on amtrak and only stayed one night so no car was needed. we took bart from Amtrak to SFO and then spent 40 on Lyft to the hotel. only to find out they had a shuttle.
other than that we have been coming here once a year for a few years and never have had a bad experience. staff is friendly. rooms are clean and smell nice. the only food we eat on site is the free breakfast and it is very good.

We stayed for just one night (thankfully) before our flight home the following morning. Hotel is within good proximity of SFO, so that is a plus. It is in a decent location. Lobby is nice and updated. Check-in was longer than usual (and there was no line; I went straight to the counter). I feel it was overpriced for what I had received and parking is $9 per night. I had reserved a King bed room and we settled for two doubles. The bed was ok and the bathroom is very small. Room was not all that clean; there were chips crumbs, etc. on the carpet. Shampoo was completely out in the shower dispenser - what does housekeeping do when they are supposed to be freshening up the room? I was awake most of the night from other guests constantly slamming doors shut and opening them. Our room was facing the street and traffic is loud. Motorcycle screaming past, etc.

All rooms are cleaned very thoroughly and also sanitized. I have stayed at this property a few times in the past. Unfortunately, I forgot about their shortcomings and booked again.
Upon checking in and after the cancellation deadline, I was told that I had to pay 9.00 for the first night to stay there. They do not have a shuttle service so almost all guest have to park on site.
Note that if you stay more than one night the parking fee increases to 10.00 per night! Why is that?
So, add 10% or so to the rate you think you are paying.
This property does not provide microwaves in the rooms so forget about reheating your pizza or Chinese food. The fridge is very small with no freezer compartment.
The "free" breakfast consists of some cold items and a breakfast sandwich that needs 2-3 minutes to heat in the microwave of which there is only one.

Thank you for your personal comments, we appreciate your feedback. I am afraid that you have your information incorrect. We have a daily parking fee of $9. It does not change to $10 the second night, I am not sure where you saw this. Please check your folio for accuracy (I would, but I am not sure what your reservation is under). Also, we do have 2 microwaves in the restaurant, I am sorry if you overlooked it. We have microwaves available upon request, and based on availability. Sorry for any inconveniences you may have experienced, but please check your folio for accuracy and let us know if there are any discrepancies. (I believe I sent you another email from another review you left very similar to this, and your folio only shows a $9 parking fee) Thank you.

The hotel staff and my room was excellent. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be close to Fort Funston, San Bruno/Daly City etc., The Golden Gate Bridge and downtown San Francisco from this centrally located near the airport location. Loved this place because I could park here overnight and sleep in for less than $10.00 per day. Downtown hotels parking alone can run as high $50.00 overnight. I did not mind the less than 20 mins. drive into downtown.

Lets talk about the price per night
When we are looking for a budget hotel usually we don't expect something out of the money we're paying.In this case this hotel exceeded my expectations in many ways.
What to expect?
Clean rooms
Good breakfast(decent variety)
Confy rooms with double beds and great window view
Breakfast its the deal breaker if you have been in San Francisco as long as been you should know the least you can spend its 20$ per breakfast and this hotel breakfast offers what a Dennis or IHOP can offer with the price included.In my case wife and my kid would have been over 60$ each morning.
The clean room factor is something we can't ignore specially in the state of California,some hotels are known for the opposite(not being clean)
Lets talk about how easy the check out is
Just drop your key in the box and thats it,its really that simple.No paperwork and minutes of your precious time.
Safety in the parkings needs work
When we got there 3 guys approach us to sell us drugs(in the parking) that needs to be taken care of for the safety of the others.
The hotel also offers free shuttle service to the airport.
With that being said,its probably one of the best budget hotels out there no exageration here.

Decent hotel but showing its age.
This hotel has on on site restaraunt with a very limited and expensive menu.
All the more frustrating because the rooms do not have microwave ovens nor freezers in the refrigerators. Because almost all food in the area is obtained on a to go basis you will not be able to heat or reheat food.
The TV has a very limited channel selection and none of the guides or other options work.
The room itself was okay and clean.
You are not told that there is a 9.00 a day parking fee until you are handed the permit to hang from your mirror.
This is just nickel and diming the guests to make the room cost seem more reasonable.
This property is not very high on my repeat list.

Hello VancouverTraveler59 and thanks for your feedback. Due to COVID-19 and the County's Health Department's restrictions, our in-dining restaurant is not open at this time. We do offer a limited menu for room service. All of our rooms have refrigerators (that include a freezer), and we do have microwaves available upon request. They are also in all of our suites. All of our websites state that we have a $9 parking fee - we made sure of this. I am sorry if you overlooked it - we do not "nickel and dime" our guests. What was not great? Let me count the ways:
1. They never gave me a confirmation email.
2. The pool is out of service (and it sounds like it has been for some time). This was my prime reason for choosing this location, the support staff just laughed when I asked.
3. One of the elevators was out of service.
4. The elevator will randomly decide to not stop at your floor to pick you up. Over the course of two days I waited at least 15 minutes on my floor for the elevator to come. I had to use the staff elevator multiple times.
5. The breakfast scrambled "eggs" were more akin to a smoothie
6. I had to call multiple times for me to get my receipt sent to me.
7. The faucet did not work.
8. The luxury to park a vehicle was an additional $9

Thank you for your comments regarding your stay with us. I am sorry you did not enjoy your stay. I'm also sorry you did not receive your confirmation. It was emailed to the address we have on file. Yes, the pool is out of service for renovation. This is clearly stated on the hotel's website. Sorry that one of the elevators was out of service. Even though are elevators have been completely modernized, they are a delicate piece of equipment that at times will need parts replaced. I also have too respectfully disagree that the eggs are like a smoothie. They are purchased fresh every day and prepared every morning by the cook. Yes, we do charge 9.00 for daily guest parking, which is much lower than most hotels in the area. Thanks again for your feedback.

Room service (cleaning etc.) is on request and no one tells you that during check-in and there are no messages on this in the room. And one needs to call for room service before 8.30 am
One comes BK in the evening and it’s too late to get room cleansing because it’s post 8.30 am
AC was not working properly and made sound like an ill maintained truck . It would switch in and off. Called guest service multiple times till 1 am or so and they kept saying they are sending maintainence but no one came
I spent 2 nights at the hotel with no maintenance fixing the AC.
I probably slept just a few hours every night Because of the AC noise .
One comes BK in the evening and it’s too late to get room cleansing because it’s post 8.30 am

Sorry I cannot respond to the bus question, but would suggest taking the free shuttle to the airport and taking the BART to the city.
Where to take the shuttle bus to get to the hotel? I will land at the International terminal of SFO.
BTW the pickup is outside each terminal. The places are well marrked
