This inn is in a historic mansion at the top of a hill with awesome views. The morning breaky was lovely. The rooms are large and graciously decorated. And each room has its own bathroom , tv and beautiful views. One of our rooms had a hot tub! We went for a run each day down the hill, along the canal, past the horse ranch, under bridges. Each room had a workspace. We got a lot of work done. If you are in town for business, family visits, Rose Bowl, this is the only place. Janice is amazing! The self checkin was very convenient.
The Inn is super comfortable and in a great location. I was attending the Rose Bowl Flea Market the next day so it was a short drive from the Inn. The room was super comfortable, breakfast delicious and the views gorgeous.
Had a fine restful stay one night. But the check-in was strange. Arrived at the hotel and a note on the door said use the keypad for the entry code emailed to me. Did not get this email. So, it says, text to one of three numbers. Several minutes later a number appears as a response. It works! Nice living room, with a small desk in the hallway and notice a key and a form with my name on it ... must be my room. All the guest rooms were wide open so I drop things off in my room and look around. A girl maybe 10 years old is watching TV in the room across the hall and she says "is this your room?" So tried to get on the internet... no info how to do this so I text the number I used to to get in... and a few minutes later the password appears. No "Welcome to ... or any other words of encouragement" Password works. I go to my meeting, get back in and sleep well in a soft bed. Shower worked fine. Go down stairs in the morning -- there is obviously a cook in the kitchen, but cereal and juice are on a table in the living room... so grabbed a coffee and juice. Checked out by dropping a key in the bowl so labeled. Never saw the owners / managers etc. Very strange... but a nice location and seems like a goo B&B.…
Lovely B & B. Warm, homey and quiet with comfy beds and great breakfasts.I'll be back again. Off the beaten path in Pasadena CA surrounded by nature. rooms are beautifully appointed with antiques. Each room is decorated with a theme in mind mine had two decks with views of the mountains and a stained glass window.
We came for a week's Rose Parade experience (which was awesome), yet this Arts & Crafts historic home enriched a week filled with activities, including the Huntington and Gamble and Getty estates. We had delicious and nutritious homemade breakfasts that catered to our dietary restrictions. Every evening there was a delightful happy hour (2 hours actually from 5-7 pm) where both red and chilled white wines were served with cheese, crackers and nuts. And the evening concluded with homemade cookies! The bed was very comfortable and we slept well. Thank you Janice!
