We needed to stay one night in Sonora and most places were full. There was space available and we expected it to be old and run down. Surprisingly, both the room and the bathroom were large and comfortable, and close to everything we needed to do. The complimentary breakfast left much to be desired--toast & little packets of jelly and... More

It's clean and the staff is friendly. The rooms could use some upgrades to the furniture, decor, and mattresses, but the stay was reasonable for the price. All in all, I could stay here again on my next trip out.

This motel is has decent sized rooms, especially the bathroom. It also has a fridge and microwave. The continental breakfast was below average as it was located in an adjacent building and only had bread, cereal, yogurt and muffins, the tiniest muffins you have ever seen. The main problem is that the rooms face the main street in Sonora and... More

Pros: We really appreciate the location of the hotel. The front desk was really helpful and friendly. We had a Decent and clean room. Cons: Not enough space and seats to eat breakfast. Needs to change the carpet in the hallways (but no big deal)

This is an update of the first review I wrote of this property. While the rooms are still dated, this time around we had no issues with the A/C or the fridge. At this point we have stayed at rooms in every level of the goldrush building and now I know that while the view on the front of the... More

Stopped here driving cross country. We wanted a hotel west of Yosemite so we could get up early and hike in the morning. When we checked in the front desk was so helpful and incredibly nice. The reason this only gets four stars is that the rooms need a little updating and the beds are kind of uncomfortable. The location... More

Room was just passable. Office personnel were nice and personal. Breakfast was low quality. We would not stay again. Price was reasonable considering... Parking was tough and layout of hotel was difficult.

Noisy and dingy. Even after tipping housekeeping both days we stayed we were told an item we left in the room was not found. The one positive about the property is the location. Sonora is a great little town and the location allows you to walk everywhere. I would absolutely find another hotel if at all possible. WAY over priced.
