I came to visit family this week. Went to Sonoma and walked around. We happened to find this place and decided to have brunch. We have 3 little kids and wondered how we could go through the entrance with a stroller. The waitress gracefully suggested to enter from the back and got the stroller. The other waitresses made having brunch easy with 3 squirmy kids. Great Margarita pizza. We ordered Shirley Temples for drinks but the kids were looking for cherries 🍒 in their drinks but there weren't any. We asked another waitress who obliged to bring some cherries in a little bowl. It made the kids' day and it was an extra special gesture for the kids.
I’ve been to Swiss Hotel a few times and each time always efficient friendly service. Always excellent food. Yesterday we ate their for Mother’s Day. I had ravioli which was so very tasty; and it was topped with walnuts and little pieces of baked apple… so delicious. Side dish brussel sprouts cooked to perfection with bits of bacon. Yum!! And Cesar salad delicious too. Love their front patio seating (first come first serve). They also have indoor seating; and their back patio seating is nice too. Tip: We sat at the one little round table situated in the spacious reception area adjacent to the bar. It’s a window view table and faces the front so it’s perfect for people watching and it felt like our own special table. Had a fabulous Mother’s Day at Swiss Hotel.
The Swiss Hotel has an old school charm that is a rare find. Sitting outside on their front patio and enjoying a nice cold (and very reasonably priced) bottle of local Sauvignon Blanc on a hot Summer day is pure bliss. Couple that with the fact the service is amazing. Really friendly and helpful. We were last Tuesday (June 22) and our petit blond server was the best. She seemed to know all the locals who loved her and we can understand why. We live in Napa but enjoy a day trip to Sonoma and this is our favorite drink spot. Next time we will try dinner too!
We were looking for a place to have an after dinner drink and dessert for my husband’s birthday. We just stumbled upon this darling hotel in Sonoma. During COVID-19 restrictions we had a safe and delightful experience outside watching the passerbys sipping on the most delicious drinks ever! They have a specialty drink with a long history of ingredient secrecy called Gliseppe. The vanilla ice cream we had was seriously some of the best I’ve ever tasted. I can’t wait to return when indoor dining is back.
The Swiss Hotel in sits right on the Sonoma Plaza. I love sitting on the patio, the people watching is fantastic! The food is great, but the servers are even better. This is a comfortable space with a welcoming atmosphere. Great Caesar salads, too!
Enjoyed Italian food and great service at the hotel’s outdoor banquet facilities. Friendly bartenders, good attentive service. Keep patio heaters handy in October. We had about 65 people. Plenty of food buffet style.
My husband and I were in Sonoma celebrating his birthday. We decided to have dinner at the Swiss Hotel. The server had no personality but the food was very good. The ambiance was quiet and unpretentious.
Our waitress suriee was amazing!! What incredible service! We loved our salad and eggplant dish. My sister in law, who has eaten here many times had the soup and salad. Lovely crème brûle desert as well as surprise ice crème. Quaint and beautiful place. Great patio.
A lovely serving, fantastic menu, and flavorful food all made our lunch memorable. The staff is absolutely on to of your needs. Great ambience on a great day in Sonoma... I’m sure the amenities in the hotel are an equivalent value.
We wandered downtown and opted to eat here for dinner. There is a separate bar you can eat at or a fine white linen dining area. I had the crabcakes and they were the best I've ever had. Husband took a bite and wished he had ordered them too although his meal was great.
