We stayed in both a cottage and a room in the main house. Loved the cottage, I never wanted to leave; it was fantastic! Open windows, moon shining in, so quiet and lovely. Furnished with quilts, old furniture, every little amenity. Breakfast is wonderful: warm pastries, fresh juice, granola, coffee and tea, melon. Lovely terrace. Can't wait to return!

My husband and I stayed in the upstairs Garden room in the main house. This is like going home to gramma's house. Quiet and restful. Softest flowered sheets ever. The proprietor, Joe, is professional and friendly. The breakfast includes coffee, warm pastries, fresh fruit and fruit parfaits all served out on the porch. It's about a mile from Sonoma Square.... My wife and I stayed four days over memorial weekend, very nice acccomidations , little hard to get in touch with Joseph, no automated reservation system but the chalet was perfect. Located close to central Sonoma plaza and very convenient to get around. There are only three separate chalets so make sure to reserve ahead of time.

The Sonoma Chalet is one of those unexpected, out of the way places that sits right under your nose yet you don't know it until you need something like it. I live in Sonoma County and have had to go to the town of Sonoma for many functions over the years, have walked and driven by this property and not... More

This surprisingly affordable bed-and-breakfast is located right on the edge of town. We found that as far as Sonoma goes, you get a pretty good bang for your buck. If you love accommodations with character, this place is for you! The Sonoma Chalet occupies a large Parcel of land right at the edge of town. As we were away from... More

My husband and I stayed in Sara's cottage for a long weekend and immediately upon arriving we were made to feel welcome by the proprietor Joe. He promptly showed us to the cottage and familiarise us with "need to know" information (breakfast/wifi etc) and provided us with wine cards for local wineries before leaving us to unpack. Sara's cottage its... More

The Sonoma Chalet is just ok. Nothing spectacular at all. Sheets and towels made our skin very itchy. Also, Too many plants in the room. The best part was the view from the balcony while having breakfast.

Quaint BnB with a quirky but great atmosphere. Great base to explore Sonoma (famous Square in 30mins walking distance) and surroundings. John and Ruth are great hosts with lots of information and recommendations available. Rooms are cute and although maybe a little over-stuffed, super clean. The breakfast on the terrace is great.

We stayed in Sarah's Cottage - very quaint and cozy! If you like old-fashioned, rustic styled venues, this will be right up your alley. Joe makes a lovely breakfast for the guests on most days and we sat out on the porch of the main house to eat! We loved sitting on the porch of our cottage and sipping coffee... More

This was our first time staying overnight in Sonoma. Living in SF, we are close and go up to Napa about once or twice a month. My boyfriend was running a 10k in Sonoma so we decided to make a weekend out of it. Sonoma Chalet was WONDERFUL. It was a quaint house located on the side of a mountain.... More
