Well let’s start with the positive. The location is great if you are here for touring wine country. My wife and I walked all over the downtown from this hotel. So we could probably move on to the negative now. The staff seemed to be annoyed by having to check us in. Sorry I interrupted their texting. Because we had a change in accommodations from what we originally booked I asked for an explanation of the rates. Was then told all rooms are the same price and there was no discount. Well that’s not how I read the website but I wasn’t going let this mess up a long awaited vacation. The next day we had a problem with the toilet and it overflowed. I asked to have the bathroom floor cleaned when we left the hotel at 9:30 am since there is no service due to Covid. I was told that they can’t enter the room. Even after I explained what happened the girl at the front argued with me on not being able to provide me service. Then I told them they would have to move me to a new room with a clean floor. 30 min later maid service was approved for my room. Again though I was bothering the front desk person. The afternoon cheese platter is a joke. For a hotel that charges almost $300 a night, they could do much better. Breakfast was lacking. Even with doing a reduced breakfast an effort could be made to give the guy and experience. Instead they have dumbed it down to Motel 6 level. The rooms weren’t bad although updating should be coming soon.

We stayed before several times at the Blue Lantern Inn with great experience and that’s why we choose this place for our visit to the wine country, what a mistake ... it gives the Four Sisters a bad name , not sure where to start , from Jamie and the rest of the front desk employees how rude, unwelcoming , Room unclean, stain furniture, small balcony stuck to a wall covered with vines so of course you can not open or use . Dirty dining room tables , boring breakfast, you get the feeling you are in a nursing home and not a good one either .

Where do I start. Let’s just suggest you avoid, a few low lights. Reception, a misnomer since it seems we were an convenience to Jamie and her colleagues. The only ones with a smile are the kitchen staff ladies. The rooms desperately need cleaning and repairs. Even the linens and curtains are worn out, you can see through patches, furniture stained. Patio, tiny is an overstatement, sliding door blotchy, AC stopped working overnight. The amenities, haha. Breakfast, never changing. Crust less Quiche with no flavor, maybe from boxed eggs, not even a banana or apple for some freshness. Would be fitting for a nursing home. They should at least clean the tables in the morning, clearly food left on tables from night before. Oh, the mini picnic, most ridiculous micro plate with small slices of cheese and 2 cookies from a box. On days where they added olives with the cheese, they reduced 2 pieces of cheese, how generous. Go to a holiday Inn or red roof inn instead.

Excellent Experience! We loved staying at the Inn at Sonoma. The lodging is lovely, the location is perfect, and the breakfasts are delicious. We felt welcomed and taken care of. The afternoon picnics and bikes offer a little something extra. Jamie at the front desk was fantastic and so welcoming. Thank you! We loved staying at the Inn at Sonoma!

The Inn at Sonoma is a very nice property with a great location. The room was comfortable and well fitted. Our only complaints were due to COVID restrictions: wine and cheese hour was plastic cups and paper plates in your room, breakfast was limited.
