Totally lives up to it’s famous brand. Wonderful stay, outstanding cleanliness, accoutrements, facilities, staff. Enjoyed all of the bathing ritual in the spa and highly recommend it. Still relaxed, two days later… Six stars!
Lovely resort. The staff and service were both excellent and professional. The grounds were beautiful and well kept. We loved the food especially the brunch that was served. We also enjoyed the informative hike with hotel staff guides.
Best massage of my life with Rosa… also heard Mike is Magic Mike … spa pools and food and drinks are the bomb and the lotion smells great … definitely plan to stay after and spend the rest of the day at the pool
Wonderful place to stay if you’re looking on going out to wine country. Very private great food and very good wine at the hotel bar. Close to downtown Sonoma. Concierge can help you plan your weekend trip. If you’re planning a trip to wine country this hotel has everything restaurants bar swimming pool spa.
The spa itself was very nice and clean. The actual massage was ok. We opted to use the outdoor pool which was need of resurfacing. The outdoor spa was out of operation because it needed repair. However the spa sat almost empty but the water was green with algae. We like the SMI and will continue patronize the facility but more than likely not go back to the spa.
Visited with my 20 year old daughter for her birthday. Great service, wonderful massages, lovely pool and indoor spas snd saunas. Short but good food and drink menu. Gentleman came around to clean our sunglasses and phone and assure we had soa water, towels and desired sun or shade. Great pampering day!
I felt the lack of support staff in the spa/pool areas. The locker room was not up to par nor was the pool area adequately staffed. Towels and such were not cleared after use. Available lockers unstocked. masseuse Jessica was 10+. Lovely and caring.
We were told the checkin is at 4pm but when we arrived our room wasn’t ready until 4:40pm. When we got the room the shower robes were missing and there was no laundry bags. The room had a noisy fan that could not be turned off and I had to unplug the fridge to stop the loud compressor. The restaurant in the hotel is way over-priced without the quality expected from a high-end establishment. Overall the trip cost me $520 for a tiny room with a view of the parking lot, $230 for dinner for two (only ordered appetizers, , two drinks, no main course), $40 for valet parking, $190 for drinks and snacks at the pool, and this is for one day. I honestly don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
Charming Mission Style Luxury Experience in the Sonoma Valley My husband and I spent a delightful few days in this luxury Fairmont property.. Peaceful Spanish Mission style setting with fire pits, waterfalls and Adirondack chairs and couches close to Sonoma Plaza, and conveniently located to both Sonoma and Napa vineyards. The gracious and laid back hospitality of the staff is particularly appreciated
My wife and I stayed at the hotel for the first night of a Backroads vineyard tour. As we arrived in town we received an email from Backroads noting that we should have a backpack to bring along various necessities for the hiking part of the tour. As it was late Sunday evening, nothing was open downtown and my wife had started stressing that we would be unprepared for the morning’s adventure. Enter Bell Captain Craig Schorr. As best as we can tell, Mr. Schorr went home and retrieved a personal backpack for us to use during our stay. We were simply floored by his efforts on our behalf. The Sonoma Mission is a lovely property, in an excellent location, if you are visiting Sonoma or Napa — but even the nicest building is just a building — and what truly made the difference for our visit was Craig’s exceptional care and concern. Truly exceptional!…
