Outstanding experience. Bathing ritual, the ambiance, cleanliness and knowledgeable, friendly staff. The aroma thermal room was a highlight, pools and outdoor areas all really delightful. Massage therapist Rosa - excellent experience.

We are regulars at this spa. We typically get one massage and spend the rest of the day enjoying the Spa and pools. We do all of them-indoors and outside. Plus the wet and dry saunas. The staff is great and the food for lunch is terrific. Try the lettuce wraps. We only live 100 miles away and it’s worth the drive. We will be back!!

The bedroom suite was amazing! We celebrated our 20th anniversary and staff made our suite and time as special as can be. The spa bathing ritual was enjoyable and the mineral water healing and rejuvenating. Our stay was fabulous! It was clean, bed was comfortable, in-room jacuzzi was fabulous!

The Fairmont Sonoma Inn and Spa is a very special destination. From the moment I arrived to my departure, I was catered to beyond what I ever imagined when I booked my stay. I went to the property to celebrate my birthday and my suite was waiting with a birthday welcome as well a jacuzzi tub stocked with bath and body products. I spent everyday at the Spa which is a gem with or without a massage or other service they offer. The bathing ritual is healing and grounding and is part of the spa experience I highly recommend to any guest staying at the hotel. I didn't leave the property for a day and half as I had everything I required, good food, a wonderful suite, beautiful gardens and the spa. There are wonderful little towns and parks very close by if you are in for some adventure. Jack London Park is a must. My stay was just 3 nights and my focus was on relaxation which was completely fulfilled by my daily time in the spa. My only disappointment was Chardonnay, the dog who greets guests at the Inn, wasn't working during my stay. That being said, there were lots of guests with dogs in tow who were okay with me interacting with their fur people. I will return to visit Chardonnay.

The spa is excellent but check in at hotel and spa is not completely smooth. I came for spa treatments for me and my cousin before 4 pm check in. Check-in was texted while I was in the spa. My concierge bellperson was supposed to take suitcases to my room. Didnt happen. Had to go on long line just to get me keys, wet from spa, couldn't have them taken to spa. My suitcases were not in the room; waited again on phone several times calling for my suitcases. Due to delay didn't make dinner out, ordered In room delivery, forgot a dessert, then the water pitcher BUT salmom was cooked and seared to perfection. No cart or table to keep food on. In the morning Oatmeal was barely warm in morning, not hot. MOST UPSETTING WAS NO ACCESS TO SPA NEXT DAY BECAUSE WAS BOOKED UP BY A CONFERENCE. I was not told and I came with uber to relax from Dublin. Didn't appreciate that being cut short. No concierge to make any plans or teferrals for dinner, lunch, etc. Front desk not helpful or knowledgeable about area. I may try again at your place but, I would have to feel that you really because facial and spa was great and Jaryd was great and friendly young kid. You would have to show me you want my future business. I will treat another family member.

Ms. Nooru677, I am reaching out in a hopes to connect to discuss your most recent stay with us. I am sorry to hear that your experience was inconsistent and that you were not informed in advance of the spa buyout on Thursday May 18th as we had attempted to contact all our guests in advance and I am sorry that this did not take place for you. If you are willing to connect with me I would very much like to discuss how we can make this up to you in the future. If you are able to email me at justin.wilson@fairmont.com I am hopeful to arrange a time when we can speak so that I can make things right as we are sorry that your stay, while it had it's highlights, was marred by the spa closure and that you had some inconsistent services in other areas. Hopeful we can connect soon, Justin Wilson Director of Operations Fairmont Sonoma Mission Inn & Spa

Visited the spa for the first time for a massage. I don't get massages often and wasn't sure which service to book so I opted in to getting the "relaxation massage," which was described on the website as a lighter pressure massage, ideal for those who have physical and mental stress. Unfortunately, the pressure was so light that it really just felt like the masseuse was only rubbing my skin, barely getting below the surface to my muscles, and not addressing any points of tension or stiffness. In the end, the massage itself like a huge waste of money. My bad for booking the wrong service, but I would caution anyone against the "relaxation massage" unless you're really only wanting some light hand movements on your back. The experience was made a little bit more worth it because of the access to all of the spa facilities that you get when you book a spa service. You get access to steam room, sauna, soaking pools, hot spring pools, can reserve your own poolside chair, and you even have in an out privileges all day until 6pm. I might consider going back for a different spa service in order to use the other amenities again.
