Great stay! Rooms are updated and comfortable! Great pool area and wonderful evening entertainment. Great location in Sonoma. Great for all types of travelers (couples, friends and families). The new staple in Sonoma.
We stayed at The Lodge from 11/16/21-11/21/21 to celebrate my wife's birthday. Our first experience was how nice The Lodge looked on the outside followed by how nice it looked inside : ). We had a 1 bedroom suite and it was gigantic, well appointed and had nice amenities. We realized that it was next to a bathroom for the conference rooms and above the lobby so we were concerned and asked for a different location. Since another suite was not available the Manager Annabelle was very helpful in getting us joining rooms since we need a door between the bedroom and the living area as my wife is a light sleeper and I am not : ( Annabelle went out of her way to find us an accommodation that suited our needs and gave us a rate that ended up being less than our original booking. We had a great stay and would recommend The Lodge to anyone visiting the Sonoma area.…
I spent the weekend with my friends at The Lodge for my birthday. It was a pristine experience. The rooms were beautiful and clean with comfortable beds. The pool was perfect for a chill afternoon. I plan on making The Lodge my main stay for every Sonoma getaway.
We loved this hotel! We stayed in one of the cottages with an outside tub and fireplace. Comfortable room with high end shampoos etc. Comfy plush robes. Breakfast at Benicia’s was delicious. Avocado Toast was great. Relaxing resort with a gym, spa services and nice pool/spa area. Our cottage had two bikes outside on the porch. Good service. In room coffee. Close to Sonoma Square. Shuttle to town available which is nice. Very expensive with our Marriott Vacation Club points. Enjoyed our time here.
Staff at front desk or helpful, rude and when ask for general manager was told they don’t care . Really sad, room smelly, shower is for farm animals, and hotel charges 900/night for motel 6 room. Sonoma wonderful but hotel should be in Russia
Beautiful property! We had not visited since they completed their renovation. The property looks excellent. The rooms are all refreshed and comfortable. The pool had a true resort feel and was the perfect spot to unwind. The happy hour wine in the lobby coupled with live music outside… enhanced the evening. This is a great location to all that wine country has to offer! Great getaway for couples, friends reuniting and even families.
We were on our way to Wit and decided to have a drink at Benicia. We never left! Alex was the best bartender we could’ve ever asked for. His expertise and knowledge of cocktails was the best we’ve ever seen. Please ask for him for a drink when you visit Sonoma!
Great location, and wonderful dining experience on property at Wit and Wisdom. Being brand loyal to Marriott means you only have a few options in the Sonoma/Napa area, and this property does not disappoint. It is on par with the Fairmont, which is not far away. The concierge Laurie was extremely helpful, much more so than many other properties. I recommend this property.
Wow, what a renovation! Not only is the property beautiful, but the staff is incredible too. A few friends and I stayed there this past weekend and the hotel did not disappoint. The pool layout is great for quiet relaxation or having drinks with friends, you can literally spend the entire day there...and we did. The cabana style lounge chairs are so comfortable. And who does not enjoy complimentary wine tasting from 4p-5p. The live music by the fire pit was a perfect place to enjoy the bottle of wine we purchased from the restaurant bar just before dinner. Both couples and families enjoyed this space. One of our favorite areas of the property was the bocce ball/corn hole "courtyard" space; it was like our own private backyard. The bikes were also a nice touch. Our rooms were so clean and well appointed, the housekeeping staff was so friendly. I wish we could have stayed longer, but we cannot wait to return!…
I hardly ever write reviews but as I checked out of this hotel today, I couldn’t help but feel disappointed with our experience. I was really looking forward to staying at The Lodge in Sonoma with my family, but I’m going to rate it as mediocre at best for the price and service we received. From the moment we arrived, the front desk agent was less than enthusiastic in their greeting. We were not even welcomed as Marriott Bonvoy Gold member guests, which is always appreciated as a family that makes every effort to stay at Marriott hotels. We were provided no hotel information, such as the complementary coffee offered every morning at the lobby. This would’ve been nice to know, since a latte at this hotel was an additional $7 each day. We weren’t offered any bottled waters available at the front desk and clearly for guests. For a high-end hotel, this should be automatic and would have been nice seeing as it was a hot day and we had to wait at the lobby while our room was ready. Also at check in, we were not told that the room service at this hotel is done differently. I learned later that there is a QR code in your room by the coffee bar and you’re supposed to place the order yourself. Based on the QR code you order from, they will know to deliver to your room directly, and the service is only available between 7:30 am to 2 pm. We were traveling with a toddler and this would have been so helpful for me to know upfront since I was relying on being able to order room service for some of her meals. Inside the room, the espresso machine in our suite had green moss growing in the container; the wine glasses were dusty; and baby crib mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. These are not what I expected out of a $700/night suite. I had far better expectations from this hotel since it looked so grand in the photos and the reviews mentioned it is a family friendly hotel. It’s the little things that makes guests feel special, and unfortunately, The Lodge fell short in these areas. The only plus side of this hotel is the free parking, a nice swimming pool and hot tub, and it’s conveniently located close to Sonoma Plaza and across the street from Train Town, which is nice for kids. Overall, not worth the money.…
