My husband and I booked two nights here to celebrate his birthday. We were looking forward to getting away from the kids and just chill. Upon checking in at 3:05, we were told that the pool passes for the following day were all taken as were the pool passes for that day. Th front desk guy apologized and told us an email was sent out. The email states that pool passes would “be available at the front desk” starting at 3pm the day before you want to use the pool. So basically all pool passes were taken by the time we checked in at 3:05 (oh and by the way the only way to reserve a spot was at the front desk). What a stupid system, not to mention a very horrible way to start your hotel stay with this announcement. As a status member with bonvoy, there is absolutely no benefits with this hotel. Platinum member are supposed to receive late check outs. Nope, not at this hotel. We will definitely not be staying here again, at least not during the summer when laying by the pool to relax is on our agenda. Marriott needs to do a better job. Look elsewhere in Sonoma...there are so many lovely hotels.

Dear kris2876, First of all, we thank you for being a valued Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite member and for celebrating your husband’s birthday with us. We are genuinely sorry for not meeting your expectations and for the less than favorable visit you and your husband had as our guests. Please know, we value our Platinum Elite members and want to make sure you know that each time you check-in. We hope you will forgive us for that oversight, and we assure you that we will work hard not to make that mistake again. We will also follow up on your comments about the pool passes with our front desk team to ensure such occurrences do not happen again. We truly appreciate your patronage, and we would welcome the opportunity to restore your confidence in our hotel. Warm Regards, Nathan Wakeen Sr. Rooms Operations Manager

I am a life time member of Marriott and have always appreciated the level of professionalism they have displayed no matter where I stay. I will say that the stay at this resort was below average and although we realize that covid is present they never once shared with us the issues with having to wait in line or call for POOL passes. The whole reason why we decided to come to wine country was to get away and relax. That’s hard to do when you can’t even go to the pool for some R&R. I will not stay at this resort ever again and the front desk staff could care less about our concerns and for that we say hello Hotel Healdsburg. I do plan to write a letter to the Marriott corporate offices and let them know about our stay and hopefully they will care about our concerns.

We are staying here for the 4th of July weekend. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they’ve done a good job of adjusting to COVID19 restrictions. The pool is awesome, with appropriate social distancing and cleaning. There is also good food/drink service by the pool. The rooms are comfortable, stylish and clean. It’s a slightly long walk to the Sonoma square, but definitely walkable (and safe with sidewalks the whole way). Train Town is across the street, which will be great when it reopens. We will definitely be back!

We booked a suite and drove 2.5 hours. The manager had given away our suite, down graded us, and didn’t bother to tell us! We walked into the room which was tiny and discovered we got screwed. When I confronted the manager he told me he had given it away to the other people that had arrived before us. No phone call nothing! It was because they have only two suites and one was under construction. They knew at least a week ago. We cancelled all of our rooms and booked at the fairmont. Don’t patronize this establishment.

I have a reservation coming up and when I called Marriott to check on a suite night upgrade, nobody knows if the hotel is actually open. It appears the hotel may have closed and not contacted me!!! I understand there is a lot going on with travel these days, however I was able to book a reservation and planned an entire trip around staying at this hotel. We’ve spent a lot of time and $$$ getting ready for our stay and NOBODY from the hotel or Marriott reached out. Our stay is in 2 days and nobody at Marriott can confirm if this hotel is even open or closed (however they are showing in their internal systems it’s closed). How do you close a hotel and not inform the guests traveling thousands of miles that they are closed and not cancel the reservation! I would love to hear from someone at the hotel... but be aware, I would not book any reservations at this property.
