My wife and I were looking to spend a few nights in Sonoma after leaving an emotional family funeral in northern California. Our key problem was not knowing when we could actually leave the family for the trip to Sonoma, if at all. Typical corporate (800 number) reservation services are "rules bound". particularly if a deposit is required. We contacted...

This is a great place to stay in Sonoma, it's close to the main part of the town and the hotel is lovely. From the wonderful staff to the amenities in the room, we had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. It is a little on the old-fashioned side (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), and the...

We only stayed one night in Sonoma and we were SO sad to have to leave this place! The room was beautifully staged, wonderful amenities, convenient to the "main strip" of Sonoma. We also dined at Saddles and it was one of the best meals we have had while traveling. Although expensive, the kindness of the staff along with all...

We selected MacArthur Place for a romantic evening and a peaceful setting. My wife was scheduled for hand surgery, and we had been warned that the first day after surgery would be difficult. She would need a setting in which she could rest and feel at peace with her surroundings. We wanted a romantic evening the night before, as her...

I live in Sonoma, but my husband and I spent one night at MacArthur Place for a Christmas Party we were having. The room was fabulous! Fire place, big comfortable bed, large bathroom, cute patio outside our room. I didn't want to go home. The shower was like showering in a waterfall with good water pressure. I think I took...

To start: Upon our arrival we met an exceptional employee. Bunky Bunky provided us with excellent service. She took time to get to know us and advise us what to do and how to best enjoy Sonoma. Very courtesy and informative. Made our 50th BD celebration extra special by sending us a surprise in our room. Night desk employee -...

Top notch service and location. It's country charming with a very nice spa. The location is excellent being 5 blocks from Sonoma Square. It is not your typical 5 star fancy resort, but the rooms are pretty good sized with comfortable beds and good ammenities. Free breakfast and daily wine & cheese reception help to make it a good value....

This is the second time I've had the privilege of staying at MacArthur Place this year. Both times were amazing. December is a lovely time to visit Sonoma. Our deluxe king room had a sitting area, fire place and large balcony. Large bathrooms. Ask for the second floor so you can watch the sunset. It was peaceful and serene. Stroll...

We spent 4 nights at MacArthur Place, as part of our honeymoon, and had such a wonderful time. Upon checking into our room we were greeted with a bottle of champagne and delicious chocolates. We thoroughly enjoyed the wine and cheese each evening in the library and even played a competitive scrabble game in front of the fire. The staff...
