The Hadsten Solvang is part of Hilton's new Tapestry Collection of hotels it manages but does not own. The Hadsten Solvang is owned by the local Chumash Tribe that has lived in the area for hundreds of years. When Hilton took over, it closed the hotel and undertook a massive updating project that saw every room redone to its high standards. We spent the night here after seeing a play at Theaterfest, a Globe-like open air theater with an outstanding company of actors providing the entertainment. the Hadsten had been open to travelers for about three weeks at this point We found our Hadsten room extremely comfortable and very well laid out. The bed was one of the best we've found in our travels, and the bath area is large and comfortable. The onsite restaurant does breakfast, lunch, and dinner and has a happy hour that brings in the locals. The food was excellent and very nicely presented, and the wait staff friendly and very attentive. The Hadsten is very accessible to the main shopping area in Solvang, and we walked everywhere we went. The Hadsten Solvang is a welcoming hotel that we will return to on the next occasion we are in Solvang. Comfortable, convenient, and luxurious. A combination hard to beat!

Beautiful, European designed hotel with an exceptional staff. We checked in late at night and had reserved a 1st floor room. They had us down for a 2nd floor room because that's all they had. The next the manager knew of a newly remodeled room that was out of stock. She reversed that and quickly got us in it. My wife has some mobility issues so we were very appreciative.

Nice, clean hotel. Lovely atmosphere. A lovely courtyard and chairs with a firepit. Essy to walk to anywhere in Solvang proper. Early lobby coffee would be appreciated for early risers. There is no elevator so if that's a problem book first floor room. (Hubs was just getting over knee surgery and we did not realize no elevator) Great hotel we would stay here again.

We stayed here for 1 night in August 2021 and had a fantastic time. Although this is essentially a motel, our room may have been the nicest motel room I have ever stayed in - clean, tastefully remodeled, with a comfortable king bed and pullout sofa bed, and even a fake fireplace. We got a reasonable rate booking directly through the hotel website. Our kids LOVED the indoor pool. And the voucher for breakfast at a nearby Danish bakery was appreciated (though the line is long - we got there around 8:30 and waited for 30 minutes). I'm taking off one star because the Wi-Fi wasn't working during our stay, but otherwise it was outstanding, and we will definitely stay here again should we return to Solvang in the future.

We had the loveliest stay here ! The rooms were clean. Comfortable and well maintained. A nice welcome packet was given to help those who did not know the area. We did have a room back off the street so very quiet. We were upstairs but had no issue with the stairs. Highly recommend. I hope the renovation goes well

This was a totally disappointing visit after having stayed at Hadsten House many times. The clerk at the desk told me the wrong room number and gave me a key to another room. Standing at the wrong room with my luggage, I tried to reach the front desk on my phone but was connected to an 800 number where I encountered a recording asking me to touch 1, 2, 3, etc., etc. So the the people I was traveling with kindly walked back to the lobby to determine the problem while I waited with my luggage at a room I could not get into. The clerk re-assigned me to a room which had been recently cleaned and had wet carpet. This meant I couldn’t walk around in my socks or slippers. Hadsten’s ads on-line say FREE Wifi, which did not work in my re-assigned room and when I called the desk to ask to be connected with the people I was traveling with, I was told they were not guests there. I insisted that they were guests but the person on the phone insisted that they were not. Later while outside my room I discovered that wifi outside was excellent. In 2021 should not have to have to put on a robe, leave my room and step outside to access wifi. During check-out I complained about lack of wifi and was told “we are working on improving it.” No “sorry” and no offer of a discount. In summary, I was sent to two different rooms, the second of which had wet carpet and no wi-fi. There were no grab bars in the bathroom and the bottom of the tub was slippery. The couch was shabby but not in a shabby chic way. The battered coffee looked like a reject from a man cave. There was a leftover blob of something (soap? toothpaste? something repulsive?) on the bathroom faucet. (5) There was what appeared to be mold in the corner of the bathtub. It was of great concern to me that I was unable to reach my friends I was traveling with because Hadsten House does not maintain a list of all current guests. The Front Office Manager, Rebecca Willis, confirmed that since I made the reservation for two rooms, there is no record of my friends being guests. This is definitely not standard procedure in the hospitality industry, as there may be emergency situations where police or family are trying to reach guests and are, for whatever reason, unable to reach them on their cell phones. What is going on with the Santa Ynez Band of Chumash Indians’ Chumash Enterprises? Their Hotel Corque in Solvang is still a premier boutique Hotel. On-line it says, however, that its restaurant, Root 246, is permanently closed. Time to find a better hotel in the lovely little town of Solvang.

Our 2-night stay at Hadsten House was great! The room was large, clean, and quite comfortable. The fireplace was a nice touch. We did not get a chance to use the pool or hot tub, but the area was nice. Staff was pleasant. All in all, a very nice stay. We will definitely book here again when we return to Solvang.

Absolutely not complaints. No noise from the street. Appeared to be sold out even during the week--very popular. This is a "motel" which is great if you want to park next to your door to bring in wine from wine tasting, etc. Benefits from being one of the Chumash hotels--quality security and cleaning, etc. Lots of hot water and quality towels, Wi-Fi was fast for email and browser. Voucher for breakfast at Olsen's Bakery was a deal--each worth about $10 for a nice breakfast--very short lines during the week when we were there. Front desk staff very helpful. Got a discount because we have a Chumash gambling card. Got into the room early.

Stayed here one night, rooms are very tired. Our room smelled like smoke and we had to open windows all night to get some air in. Didn't help much. Old bathrooms. One of the two queen beds the mattress was completely collapsed. They sent us down the street to a bakery for breakfast with their voucher (they aren't serving breakfast at the moment). There were two tables at this bakery and a line out the door, so had to bring it back to the room to eat it. The room directly above us was extremely noisy all night it sounded like a group of people were doing olympic pole jumping events the whole night. In the morning upon checkout, the receptionist didn't ask us how our stay was, so I took the liberty of letting her know about the bed. She didn't even apologize, just said "oh". I wouldn't stay here again.
