The Inn is built in the traditional style of a village, or neighborhood, with the outside of the buildings being exact duplicates of the buildings found on a street in Copenhagen. We are small enough to provide personal service and our professional staff will make you feel like royalty.Our rooms are all decorated in the Danish tradition and are more spacious than your typical hotel room. The rooms come with a large walk-in shower and each is different in its architecture. All rooms have cable TV, AC, coffee makers and refrigerators.

The website had me a little nervous as it is not as updated as some other Solvang sites and the available photos may leave you wanting more information. Also, when you find a place that seems like a fair price, but the site/photos feel … older… you may start to question what you’re getting into. However, upon arrival, I was quickly put at ease. Nice, straight-forward room. The pool and its surrounding area aren’t huge, so if that’s an important aspect for you, this may not be the place. It was Just Right in our opinion. Quiet location where you don’t hear a clock tower chiming all day long. Extremely well located. If I’m picking a negative thing to share: Don’t get overexcited about the continental breakfast. The location of this hotel was the best. We were able to walk to everything... restaurants, bakeries, tasting rooms and shops. We appreciated that the pet fee was a very reasonable $25/night & parking was super convenient. Loved the Serta firm pillows, the laminate floors, and efficient A/C. The only thing that needed improvement was the room lighting.

I love this place and have recommended it to so many families since we’ve returned from Solvang! Cute, the rooms are a throwback (but in a VERY CLEAN, charming way), centrally located and steps from the action, great service (they drop off juice/yogurt/pastry/cereal to your door in the AM), nice pool and lawn games… just the best vibes. I’m a hotel snob and I just loved it! It’s not fancy but still the best and perfect for young families!

The rooms were large. A king room was furnished with bed, 2 nightstands and lamps, a large dresser, two easy chairs with a small table and a desk and chair. There was a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment. A microwave would have been nice—they aren’t that expensive to add. I only have two complaints; one is that the lamps were dim (need a bit higher watt bulb), there was no other lighting in the main part of the room. The corner with the two chairs was very dark—a floor or hanging lamp needs to be in that area—it was so dark you couldn’t even read anything. There was only one wall outlet in the room (not counting the bathroom) and it wasn’t anywhere near a surface to place anything on so to charge a phone etc you had to set it on the floor. The rooms either need to be rewired for more outlets or a simpler solution would be to purchase bedside lamps that have outlets and USB ports in them as many hotels have done. They have a nice pool area with adjacent game area that has a putting green, giant chess/checker set, giant connect four game, cornhole, ping pong table. Needed equipment can be checked out in the office for ping pong and golf. They have a fenced in dog area which is nice with grass and chairs but dogs are supposed to remain leashed. They have free parking but on busy days the lot can fill up fast. They have closed their breakfast room and no longer serve a large breakfast there. When you arrive they give you a form to fill out for breakfast and the days you want it. The way it’s designed you have to order the same thing for all the days. The choices are simple; juice (no choice--we got mostly orange but sometimes apple), a box of cold cereal (it was always multi-grain cherrios), a Danish (they were fresh but you had no choice of type) and string cheese. Although milk wasn’t on the list, if you ordered the cereal you receive a carton of milk (no choice of type). There were also choices of asking for coffee packets or cups as the only coffee available was what you could make in your room. You had to chose a half hour time frame to have your breakfast delivered (between 7:30-9:30). They would knock quietly on your door and a bag of your breakfast would be outside your room. They do not provide any housekeeping service but if you need anything (towels, trash emptied etc) you just have to call the office. You might want to go down to the office rather than call. We heard others say if they pushed the “office” button on the phone it connected them to other guest rooms. The staff was friendly and quick to respond to any request you had. …

This motel is quaint. It’s on the older side but the staff are warm and inviting. Prices are fair and they go out of their way to be nice! Great beds and perfect location. My only suggestion would be to add some color to the room walls. The outside looks like little houses of different colors but the inside was too white. I’ll be coming here again!

Have stayed here on numerous occasions and is one of the best places to stay in Solvang. Located in the middle of town with large rooms and priced right. They will deliver a FREE breakfast to your room each morning.

This was my first tip to Solvang. I was invited to go there with a couple of very experienced travellers to the community for some vineyard visits wine tasting and dinner. We went in late January so not at the height of tourism. This was fine with us. Beautiful scenery, quaint town great bakeries and wine tasting . The hotel was quite nice for a short stay. European style breakfast- baked goods, yogurt juice included I recommend a visit and stay.

We spent two nights here with our dog. It’s an older hotel in pretty good shape. It’s located across the street from the square with all the shops you go to see. Several bakeries and good restaurants are very close by. Bed was very comfortable. Price was fair and good place to bring your dog.

Location Location Location! This authentically Danish property is perfectly situated in the center of town and has ample parking so once you arrive you can park the car. This is a great benefit because traffic and parking in Solvang can be difficult on holidays and weekends for sure. The on-site management was very accommodating even providing a text for our early check-in request since we arrived in the AM. The staff was very pleasant and took obvious pride in their hotel. While this is one of the original Danish hotels in the area, the charm is unmistakable, whisking us away to another place and time. The bed was very comfortable, and the room was clean and well laid out. This is going to be our new "go-to" place to stay in Solvang going forward.
