We were upgraded to a king-sized room which was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The bed itself was big and there was a comfortable chair to sit in. There was a nice fireplace in the room which would add to the charm of the room in the winter. The bathroom was slightly small but perfectly adequate. The only thing which let the hotel down slightly was that the room we had fronted on to their outdoor seating area for the restaurant on the property. The night we were there, two ladies sat outside talking long into the night and the windows in our room were not double glazed and we could hear everything they said even though they weren't excessively loud. My suggestion is that you ask for a room at the back of the property. The have a very good restaurant on site too.…
Not your standard hotel - rather an old large house converted to a hotel. Rooms are somewhat small and very basic, but the staff is super friendly and strive to meet your needs. Free WiFi and a restaurant downstairs. No coffee maker or 'fridge. Love the fact that it is right next to the tourist areas but on the edge so it is quiet. We would stay here again.
The location was perfect, super close to the downtown area. Overall a very nice place with only a couple of minor negatives. Very clean and comfortable with hard wood floors. The bed was good, the A.C. worked well and the staff was very friendly and helpful. There was no refrigerator in room, nor coffee maker, although they had coffee downstairs if you asked for it. There was almost no counter space in the bathroom, just a little shelf over the sink that was about 4" by 24" and a larger shelf over the toilet. The internet stopped working about 7:00 on the second evening, but I didn't bother to ask for it to be re-set. The elevator was a small one person lift. Since my wife is in a wheelchair, this was important to us. It was a little tough to use, it required some patience and finesse.…
We stayed at the Maribelle Inn, Solvang, CA in December 2021. This quaint Inn was comfortable and intimate. We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Inn’s award-winning restaurant. Soon the ten to twelve guests in this restaurant were chatting with each other and all joined in singing happy birthday to one of the guests. Everyone was delighted for this experience. This Inn is located within walking distance to every place we wanted to visit Great experience and we look forward to our next visit
Loved this inn. Very well taken care of and friendly service. The staff was great and the rooms very very nice. All I can say is that the exterior of the building matches the interior. Room was clean and bed was soft. A nice bootle if wine was waiting for us in the room after check-in. Location was great, down the street from the shops. I will return with my wife next time we are in Solvang.
Words are short to describe beauty, fancy, and how pleasant is this hotel. Love it I went to celebrate my birthday and have a great time. There is a restaurant on the first floor and their food is delicious.
Liked: The hotel kind of close to business. The room had a fireplace. The bed was a little soft but it was pretty comfortable. There was a nice little balcony with this room. Disliked: The only breakfast was a cup of coffee and two danish that we almost had to beg. For the amount of money we spent on this room you think they could afford to give more than two danish and a cup of coffee. The room looked nice but there was nothing (the little things you have even in a Motel 6) in the room. There was no coffee, no phone, no directory or information on local businesses. There was a bottle of wine with glasses (we don't drink) and two fancy bottles of water and nothing to open them with. There was no microwave or fridge. In these COVID-19 times, you think this would be a way to avoid to interact with customers and provide something special for your customers. The night concierge was nice and the lady during the day was as well. However, the male concierge needs a course in being nice to customers. He was the one we had to beg for coffee and danish. The in house restaurant is a high class restaurant. Nothing wrong with being a high class restaurant but you need to have better options. The hot water in the bathroom took forever to come out of the faucet. The bath was a jacuzzi only with no shower curtain to keep the water off everything else in the bathroom. The toilet worked but if you didn't hold down the handle everything would not make it down the drain. There is also pretty much nothing in the bathroom for you to place set anything on.…
Had a lovely stay at the Mirabelle inn. It’s location is perfect for seeing Solvang. Walkable to restaurants and shopping. Parking in back in a small lot. The hotel itself is quite charming with unique flare. The service was wonderful. The included breakfast was hearty and delicious. They made us coffee to go with an early morning flight out. Would stay again.
What was supposed to be a romantic weekend was anything but. We arrived at 3pm to find no one at the front desk. Someone finally showed up after 20 min sitting there by ourselves. What was billed as their nicest room was on the top floor and looked dated and downright shabby. Elevator only worked occasionally and did not go up to 3rd floor anyway. We had to haul our own luggage up the stairs. Lamp in sitting area didn’t work and the pillow menu, blackout drapes, and other items shown as available were not to be found. We were given free 2 sm bottles of water for our 3 day stay and charged exorbitantly for more. Breakfast seemed to consist of overly sweet fare or eggs. We were given grief by the waitress when we asked for toast as she said it wasn’t on the menu and she didn’t think they had any. She also harrumphed off when I asked for milk for my tea. Our anniversary dinner at their elegant restaurant was just as uninspiring. Lobster bisque was bland, fish entree was grossly over cooked and portions were minuscule. When we asked for a copy of the bill we were told It’d be sent to our email. Checkout was just as bad as checking in with nobody at the front desk. We were told our room folio would be sent to our email, we’re still waiting despite having called and requested again. It’s on the same block as an eyesore, condemned old hotel that’s decaying in place. This may have been a nice property years ago, but neglect and apathy have put it at the top of my “Do Not Stay” list.…
