The Palomar hotel is perfect place to stay well in Pismo beach. It’s very clean and has everything you need. The rooms are pretty small but it is well-maintained and centrally located it.
Located just next door is a happening bar that has outdoor seating and it’s very lively.

Girls' Weekend with my daughter and adult granddaughter. Very nice room with second bed actually in a second room! Very very clean. Easy parking and a great local coffee shop literally next door! Would definitely stay again!

If I could suggest a curtain between rooms? And hooks in the bonus room to hang jackets on? And maybe outlet shelves for phone charging? And a corner shelf in the shower?

I tried to avoid this place after reading few negative reviews on Trip advisor. We were so pleasantly surprised by this motel. With best location and great price, I tempted to try it out. I and my wife stayed there last weekend in one of the room with kitchen. It is not a dump, little gem on central coast. New manager who is also family of management provided us with warm welcome and great service. They have managed 60 room motel for 10 years and now downsized to manage this family motel of 14 rooms. Every room is special and has all amenities you can find in five star hotel room.
Yes, the rooms are small, yes the bathroom is small. But it's clean, great location and good value. I uses business center which is well equipped with computers, internet and printer and beautiful ocen view.
I strongly recommend this little gem to travelers.

this was the worst experience ever. we booked the family room with 2 sinks and a separate bedroom for 2 nights. i had stayed there in december 2022 so i knew what to expect. upon arrival they gave us this tiny moldy room with one sink. there was no where to hang the hangers they gave us, the room was filthy - something all over the walls in the bathroom, several large bugs (i didnt get close enough to look) the door jam for the second room was leaking water all night and the wood was falling apart and the heat did not work. we requested a refund for the second night as we could not stay there again in those conditions and the owner agreed however once we checked out they refused to refund us the taxes and property cleaning fee for the second night which was almost half the cost of the room. claiming they would have moved us for the second day however when they attempted to move us they opened the door on a room that was already occupied!! horrible experience all around.

I have not had pink eye since i was a kid but somehow after sleeping in that room for one night and on those pillow cases, i had a bad case. Additionally, during check in, the owners were not friendly and could really use a course on customer service. Do yourself a favor, pay a little extra and stay somewhere else. Never again.

I’d call it a flea-bag motel, but it was ants that were the issue. Very noisy with 101 right there and construction noise. We couldn’t get our TV to work and when we went to front desk, a man who said he was the owner told us to use our laptop for entertainment! Very rude and quite surly. The brew house couple doors down was great.

We booked this motel based on other recommendations in Trip Advisor...what a mistake. The room was barely large enough to turn around in; the thermostat was completely broken and the only offer from the manager was to give us blankets; the fridge and microwave was dirty and the housekeeper left a cleaning bottle in the room. The manager stated there was not another room to move into, yet the vacancy sign was displayed. We decided to not to stay and the manager would not disclose the owners name or return our money for fear he would be fired. We heard many excuses, but no solutions. I am a seasoned traveler and this was the most poorly run motel and the poorest customer service I have experienced...beware. This also is certainly not a bed and breakfast...not even a coffeemaker in the room. When I questioned the manager, he offered to bring in a coffeemaker, but had no coffee.

My family and I stayed at the Palomar Inn and it was a horrible experience.

The room that my wife and I stayed in came with a kitchen for an extra charge. The stove did not work and the kitchen was not clean. So I went to the office to check out and I was told that I would not get a refund.

We were moved to a different room. This one was worse. The kitchen was not clean. The toilet overflowed repeatedly, the sink did not drain properly and the thormostat in the room was totally broken.

The room that my daughter and her family stayed in was even more frightening. They woke up in the middle of the night with a terrible gas smell in the room. Her husband immediately turned off the heater and vented the room. When she went to the office in the morning to complain she was told the gas smell was perfectly normal because previous guests had already complained and nothing had happened. However, my daughter demanded that they call the gas company. When the man from the gas company checked the heater he found a leaking pipe and the vent was obstructed. the management is even worse and rude. Plus the place needs some repair and major renovation and an owner who cares. It is a miracle that with all the gas leaks that this place has had that an explosion has not occured with fatal consequences.

I have filed a complaint with the City of Pismo Beach and their Building Dept. is currently investigating the place for numerous violations. I am waiting for their final report before I decide on legal action against the Palomar Inn for knowingly placing my family and me in this dangerous situation.

Everything was clean, no AC nice little patio area with a bbq bring your own charcoal. There's a coffee pot in room come prepared bring your own coffee. There is a place to buy coffee next that was great. The staff is friendly, the rooms are nice I got a full kitchen that was great. The town is close to everything. Great price I can not wait to go back. The mexican food place down the street was excellent.
