We stayed one night and had two rooms. They were very clean and cute, bathrooms could use updating. Employees were very nice and the breakfast next door was great. The rooms are very small but large enough to move around in. I would certainly stay here, it is right beside the ferry dock so you could stay here and take... More

We stayed here (room 201) and were very happy with our spontaneous choice. Our room was spacious, overlooked the streetscape, and was nicely decorated, The ceilings are high. Our room included a very comfortable bed, large tile shower, small couch and chairs. It has a Parisian feel for a unique boutique experience. It's easy walking distance to great food, the... More

We stayed several days. We had a view of the small park and ferry landing. The room was clean and very well cared for. It was very quiet, even with the windows open. The hotel is super convenient for travel to San Francisco...we walked to the ferry landing. It is also convenient for walking Sausalito. We highly recommend staying here...we... More

The hotel is right by a small park and the ferry terminal; apart from the noise of a domestic row being held in the park at 2am one day (over which the hotel - obviously - has no control), it was a peaceful location at night - great for sleeping, but right at the heart of Sausalito during the day... The hotel was clean but the style of the hotel felt dated. The location is right in the heart of the town with everything within walking distance. Very conveniently located if you plan to visit Tiburon or Muir Woods or simply take the ferry across to San Fran.

Arrived very early & asked to leave bag while went to explore, however was pleasantly surprised to be able to check in early & have a complimentary room upgrade. Extremely comfortable bed & pillows. Very nice eco-friendly toiletries & fluffy towels. Tea/coffee pod machine in room, & free bottled water & fruit available from the upstairs lobby. The only niggle... More

We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Sausalito. The hotel reminded us of a high-end Paris hotel. It offers an elegance and ambiance that is rarely found in US hotels. The staff (especially Gail) is dedicated to providing a wonderful experience in Sausalito. The classic rooms, the outdoor patio and the overall service make for a memorable... More

Booked rooms there for 3 nights with our friends at the end of a weeks California vacation. Very glad we chose it. Great location in the heart of Sausalito. Easy travel for visiting San Francisco, Tiburon, and other sites. The rooms were well decorated, and had nice views of the park and bay. (2nd floor). They had a great roof-top... More

I stayed at Hotel Sausalito for a couple of nights during a motorcycle trip across the USA. Having visited San Francisco before I decided to stay in Sausalito because it is quieter, yet you can still easily get into town either via the Golden Gate or the ferry (which is right next door to the hotel). I really enjoyed my... More

Located in the pretty town of Sausalito ,just adjacent to San Francisco ferries: so very convenient for all facilities. Our room could do with minor renovation to paintwork in bathroom and some updating of furniture.Carpets in rooms and common parts do need cleaning..room was relatively small .Old building which has been renovated but suffers from poor acoustic insulation .
