Hotel Sausalito's. Location is directly in the center of town. Now Sausalito isn't that big. But it's a wonderful magical little town across the bay from San Francisco. It's sleepy compared to San Francisco to! The hotel is very European, that is to say the rooms are small but comfortable. Small functional bathrooms.. Nice design, Faux finished walls and furnitureLA...

Based on mixed reviews from other travelers, I was a bit leery about booking at this hotel. However, my husband and I were quite happy with the choice. The checkin was easy and quick. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room overlooked the water and we could see the sailboats from our bed. The hotel is...

Hi Moehart1019, Thank you so much for taking the time to write a review for us. I am pleased to hear that you had an enjoyable stay and that we were able to pleasantly surprise you. We do get a lot of mixed reviews. Everyone is different and what might be great to one, is often not so great to...

The location of Hotel Sausalito was perfect for a night in Sausalito before heading to Yosemite. We parked in the lot right across from the hotel. We were upgraded to a King room, which had large windows with a nice view of the water. The bathroom seemed fairly recently renovated with a nice skylight. The bed and bedding was very...

Hi Palmetto85, Thank you so much for sharing your opinion. It means a lot to us. In regards to the bathroom, I have to be honest, they haven't been upgraded/renovated since our initial complete renovation back in 1996. I am proud to say that we work hard to maintain the hotel as best we can to keep it looking as...

Good Morning Lora, We are delighted that you had a happy stay with us. Thank you for your kind words. It's true that none of our rooms are particularly large, that's mainly due to us being a historical building. But we tend to think that they are still very comfortable and of course, clean. We appreciate you spreading the word,...

My wife and I have stayed at the Hotel Sausalito several times and have had fabulous experiences! They think of lots of extras that make our stay so very enjoyable. We would highly recommend the Hotel to anyone wanting to stay just north San Francisco. Plus, there are wonderful restaurants within walking distance

Hi Caeser, I am so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Since we are a historic building with limitations on what amenities we're able to offer, we try our best to think of the little things that might make up for where we lack. Offering complimentary bottled water, as well as fresh fruit every morning, are some examples. We...

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights and had a great time. The hotel is just a few steps away from the ferry terminal to San Francisco and is also within walking distance of some great restaurants. Hi Keith! Thank you so much for reviewing us. I appreciate you taking the time. I'm happy you had an enjoyable stay. The vouchers for the cafe next door are usually a hit. We've been working with them for over 20 years now, and most people enjoy the delicious pastries and muffins that they offer, not to mention their coffee....it...

This older hotel reminded me of some I've stayed at in Europe. Incredibly helpful and friendly staff, a modest number of lovely and cozy rooms. The hotel is mere steps from the ferry to San Francisco, making it a great place to stay even if you plan to spend a fair amount of time in the city. Walking distance to...

I spent a lot of time thinking about what I would say in this review, primarily the hours where I tossed and turned on the uncomfortable bed in this stuffy and dirty room. How did it earn two stars? Find it across the street from the central square in Sausalito. A charming little hotel above the shops in downtown Sausalito. The rooms are small, with a 1950's touch such as a bay window and amour vice closest. A small TV but it was fine. Small old style bathrooms with modern showers. Great beds and linens.
