Panoramic San Francisco Bay views are the signature of The Inn Above Tide. This intimate Sausalito waterfront hotel with 31 rooms and suites is a magnificent location for a uniquely inspiring luxury retreat. Chic and understated interiors lead to simply mesmerizing views from the private furnished room decks. Sited directly on SF Bay, every room has sweeping views of the bay, city skyline, Alcatraz, Angel Island and Marin. The spectacular but brief ferry ride to SF is mere steps from the hotel. Intimately connected to the village of Sausalito, yet magically separated due to its bay front setting, The Inn Above Tide is a minute’s stroll to galleries, restaurants and shops. The scenic vineyards of Sonoma and Napa are just a short drive north.

This was my second stay at The Inn Above Tide and it was as wonderful as the first. I stayed with a friend and we enjoyed the in-room wine and cheese service, the delicious continental breakfast (make sure to get the quiche) and all of the well thought out amenities of the room. We especially appreciated the bath products. It rained for the majority of our stay and our room was perfect for sitting by the fireplace and looking out at the most beautiful view of the Bay. Each staff member was friendly and accommodating. I can't wait to go back and would highly recommend staying here.

The Inn Above Tide is a hidden gem. Friendly staff, clean, comfortable. Small little touches like binoculars in the room, to look at the stunning views over to San Francisco in the distance. The continental breakfast they provide is delicious and the orange juice is the BEST! Definitely recommend

I celebrated a birthday here recently and really enjoyed our stay. Appreciated the half bottle of champagne, fruit plate and wine. Our room was on the small side for the $800+ price. Though we had a nice stay for sure, I have a few complaints that kept me from giving 5 stars. 1 - for some odd reason, the hallway was FREEZING the entire time. I had to crank the heat in our room to balance it out. 2 - the fireplace is VERY smoky and the wood is not the best for wood fires - tough to lite and we almost smoked ourselves out. 3 - no fitness room 4 - single ply toilet paper - for the price? I mean, come on. 5 - again, for the price, annoying that the only "included" mini bar were 2 small bottles of water. They could for example throw in the bath salts or something instead of the typical crazy prices for gummy bears or a bag of chips. Bath salts aren't that much and would be a nice touch. valet parking was also expensive and not included. 6 - Our room was smaller than I expected. I made my reservation by phone and said we would be 3 people but there was hardly room for a rollaway so I ended up sending my daughter back to campus as we couldn't fit 3 and they only had us down for 1 person. Finally, breakfast was decent but not spectacular. For a hotel in this range, I would expect for example the option of custom egg order/omelette, espresso drinks but it was basically a continental breakfast with quiche. Maybe SF is more expensive than NYC but I'm trying to compare it to 5 star places I've stayed in NYC and except for the location and views, I found it underwhelming.

Room had a balcony, fireplace, and nice tub. The decor is upscale and fresh. The front desk, valet staff (Tommy) were friendly and helpful. My visit was on rainy day and I still enjoyed the view and complimentary binocular. My package included a wine and cheese scheduled between 5-7 pm. A bonus Champaign was there for our special occasion as well. Thank you for making a memorable stay for us.

I can’t say enough regarding the team everyone was accommodating and flexible. My husband just had heart surgery and they made our trip unbelievable!! The hotel Recommended a private driver Igore and he made our San Francisco trip!!! We will only stay here for future San Francisco visits.

This is one of the best hotels in the world for peace, quite, relaxation and quality. Again, they did not disappoint. A night or two here feels like a week of relaxation. The rooms are comfortable, luxurious and well appointed and the service like afternoon wine & cheese or morning breakfast, both delivered to your room is awesome, The fireplace, comfortable bed, comfortable jacuzzi tub and the best hotel shower we've ever experienced all score 10+, but the views are incomperable. The panoramic views of the Bay, Tibaron, Angle Island, Bay Bridge, Sailboats, tankers, Gulls and a couple of friendly seals, and of yeah San Francisco nboth day and night are really just spectacular.

We loved every minute of our 4 night stay. We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary and a celebratory gift was awaiting us in the room which was lovely. Our room (king deluxe) was fabulous, overlooking the water and we enjoyed out complimentary wine and cheese each evening on our balcony. Staff were all very pleasant, helpful and welcoming. Breakfast of pastries, fresh fruit, bagels etc well presented and very fresh. We have stayed in many hotels in many locations and countries and this is among our favourites. Thank you to all the staff for making us feel so welcome!

We had a wonderful stay recently at The Inn Above Tide. The view was amazing, and we particularly enjoyed the wine and cheese every evening while taking in that view. Breakfast was also a nice perk to look forward to. The staff was very friendly and helpful and we look forward to staying here again.

This hotel is on the San Francisco Bay and we had views of Alcatraz and San Francisco out our window. We also had a sea lion playing near the hotel in the bay. The staff was amazing. The ferry to SF in right next door. Lots of restaurants and shops are walkable. They had an amazing included breakfast buffet and brought up a bottle of wine with two cheese and fruit plates when requested from 5 - 7. The hotel was not inexpensive but offered great value for a sprecial stay. We paid $250 more per night for a hotel that didn’t compare. Also had the best shower ever. Loved our stay.

My husband and I stayed one night in room 301. This is a corner room and the view is great on both sides. See photos. The room is modern, clean but a bit on the small side. The hotel is a short walk to all kinds of restaurants, shops and the pier if you want to take the ferry.  Breakfast was included and was delivered to the room on a tray. We had one of the best breakfast. The food was great and it was very enjoyable eating it on the balcony with the great view. The hotel has a small parking lot behind the gate. If you don't want to valet park, there is a public parking lot near the hotel.  As much as we enjoyed our stay, one night was enough for us since it is a pricey hotel.
