Location is great, Railroad Square is home to some of my favorite Sonoma County shops and restaurants - while others noted noise from the neighborhood, I experienced no noise and in fact, the bed was so comfy I had one of the best nights of sleep imaginable. Sonoma hotels are pricey and this spot is a great find for the price point. No frills, but still has a personality of it's own. (The hotel is supposedly haunted and I was curious if I'd see any supporting evidence, but in the end it was an uneventful stay!)

Nice hotel with interesting design. Very well located in downtown having a coffee shop over the street. Friendly stuff and very clean hotel. Almost like a family feeling. Parking is included, that makes it a good choice with rented cars. Summary: I enjoyed my stay and can recommend this place.

When I first arrived at the hotel, I was taken in by the charm of the old style furniture, with quaint paintings, wooden works, a vintage staircase, leading to spacious rooms.. Unfortunately my stay inside these rooms was quite a different story . I spent several nights being awakened at 4:30/5am by trucks with loud engines and again ard 5:30 pm. I must say to pay that type of money and not be able to rest is really a reap off .. At the front desk, Jessica was very helpful but Kim who followed in her footsteps had nothing to offer in terms of remedy to the situation and did not even try to help me on other subjects. I am not sure how this review is going to impact the future of the hotel. Management will probably thank me for these remarks.. what do they do with it?? I believe it is not the first time such remarks are being made!! They should have equipped those rooms with double pane windows.. it would have helped!! C'est très dommage!!!

We stayed in a Deluxe Suite, which is located across the street from the main hotel. Other than street noise, the hotel is quiet and comfortable. We had a small refrigerator for drinks and Keurig for quick coffee in the morning. Unfortunately, I did not realize that the cleaning staff did not replace the coffee pods used on the first morning, so I waited until 7:00 to walk across the street to buy good coffee. Parking is free, and located across the street, next to the coffee shop. This is a convenient location for walking to restaurants downtown.

Wonderful and charming hotel with friendly staff. Our room was very large with a separate seating area and balcony. The hotel is a little older but I felt that was charming and a nice break from corporate hotels. Bottles of water were available for free from the lobby and parking was included and located just across the street. We especially loved the restaurant, Grossman’s, located in the hotel. We had a wonderful meal and the waitstaff were so friendly. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Sits above Grossman's Deli, in historic district. Helpful staff, convenient parking, easy walk to coffee and restaurants. Room and bathroom could use some freshening up. Lobby is charming. We stayed in the original hotel, built in 1907.

I was excited to stay here until we were showed our rooms. Well actually we showed ourselves because they were across the street from the actual hotel that seemed to be an old motel they took over and did a sad rehab on in the 90s. The room was gross. But it was one night ans the location seemed good. Until 1am when there were some drag racing on the block that lasted over an hour which of course resulted in no sleep at all. How the horel didn’t call the police to have to stopped is beyond me. The hotel staff was not very welcoming. Would definitely pass on this place.

The hotel was a nice boutique hotel however during my stay, someone somehow entered my room and stole all of my items and my rental car. The manager was able to spot the person stealing my items, so I was able to get my bag, however did not realize until after the person left that they had also stolen my car. I was only there two nights and I would think after such a violating situation I would have been fully compensated. In addition I had to follow up several times to ask who was the last person to enter my room. The response was their own staff but did not take responsibility at all and claimed the person who stole my things must have been opportunistic. If your staff was the last one to enter my room, please take responsibility that someone either inadvertently let them in my room or your staff willingly let them.

The hotel was very nice and the staff was outstanding. Very helpful and always had a smile for everyone. But I stayed two nights and never as able to get on the internet. Which made it impossible to check in for my flight. They also didn't serve breakfast and didn't have a microwave or refrigerator, I know it is a very old hotel but a nice continental breakfast would be nice and a microwave and refrigerator wouldn't take away from the antique decor.

This is the first review I’ve ever written in my life. But I left a little disappointed and completely exhausted. I was looking forward to staying here, and wished I had arrived a little earlier because the restaurant , bakery, and bar all looked amazing. I’m a grad student at Sonoma state, but I don’t live in the area so I have to travel to Sonoma once or twice a week for school, so I like trying out different hotels in the area and was excited to try this one out. The hotel was super cute, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the area was relatively pretty quiet….in the beginning. While I had to stay up a little later than I wanted (I had to finish up some reading for school), I figured it’d be fine because I didn’t have to be up until 8am to get to class on time. However, I could hear people going through the trash all night until trash pickup started around 4am, which was super loud and continued for a couple hours. I realize this is out of the control of the hotel and is necessary, but later on.…it seems that a previous guest must have set the hotel alarm clock in my room because it started going off at 6am (and scared me wide awake). Then I had to get up to figure out how to turn it off. This was followed by sawing, hacking, and leaf blowing; a crew of like 5 arborists began trimming a big tree right outside of my window around 6:45am. It was so crazy loud! (it sounded like all 5 of them were in my room with me with chainsaws). This also scared the heck out of me because when I went to go look out the window to see what the noise was, the last thing I expected to see was a man right outside my window (I was on the second floor), but there a man was. This went on for the next hour and a half or so. I decided to just give up and leave at this point because I was so tired and the loud maintenance job was not helping. I don’t think I even slept one full hour, which made my 3 hr long class pretty miserable and my 3 1/2 hr drive home after that even more horrible. I’m sure if it had been a normal night, I would have loved this place and I think most people would really enjoy this place. It really is lovely. Just not really a very good night for me.
