Found this place while travelling thru Santa Rosa. The bldg was the first one built after the 1906 earthquake. Phenomenal service, great neighborhood and fantastic room! Highly recommend. Will definitely be back.

Exceeded expectations. Beautifully renovated small hotel. Great to be walking distances from many restaurants and the Old Courthouse Square. Easy access to 101 and quick to get out of town toward the wineries.

I have two critiques, both design issues. 1) The shelf above the toilet is positioned so that if sitting straight the back of the head strikes the leading edge of the shelf . . . Ouch! 2) There are gaps between the door leaf and door frame that allows light bleed through. This annoyed my wife as she likes the room pitch dark when sleeping. I find issue with this condition for another reason. This may be a Fire Code violation: I believe there is a requirement to have a smoke seal - including a door sweep -on all doors opening into an "Exit Corridor". If light can seep through then the smoke seal is either missing or improperly installed.

A/C broken (was told previous guest pulled wiring from ceiling and since we called right away they know it wasnt us!! As if they were going to blame us if we hadn't called them right away!) It was really hot the first night and the windows don't open (not even a few inches) nor did the hotel have a fan we could use, toilet paper holder fell off of the wall, view overlooked rooftop of restaurant w/A/C units and vents, pushed into valet parking as we were told they've had cars broken into out front where there is only a few metered parking spaces, pet friendly but nowhere to take pet out other than small gravel ally FULL of about 200 cigarette butts, porter (young man) left us the luggage cart to load, take downstairs, unload and return, had to get 2 new keycards on second night. To top it off, over charged my account causing it to go negative. We asked for compensation for these issues and was offered a pitiful $25 - which we still havent received.

I loved this boutique hotel and wish we could have stayed longer. We would happily return. The rooms were adorable and we had our own wing with two rooms overlooking the square, so we could close off our wing and let our puppy wander between the two rooms. Cozy and private! Loved the walkability to surrounding restaurants and shops. The staff couldn't have been more attentive and kind. I had no idea where to stay prior to choosing E Hotel and chose it based on location and prior reviews. So glad I did!
