Feels like in an Italian countryside.
Feels like in an Italian countryside. This resort was so perfect for few nights of solitude and while enjoying wine tasting in the area. Such an enjoyable walk around the vineyard trail and the bursting colors so magical. This is definitely a fun and romantic beautiful getaway, can’t wait to come back soon.

    A resort in name only
First, let me refer you to Debbie A’s complimentary review in October, 2020. All of the positive features are correct. The purpose of this brief review isn’t to negate the positive but to alert visitors of unnecessary charges. Some might quibble over my objection to the egg- centric breakfast offerings, with no yoghurt and no pastries/breads for which the pastry chef is known. There is an oatmeal/quinoa blend and a lackluster granola. This isn’t the problem. When paying the first night’s deposit on a discounted rate of $318, we received confirmation with a total of $398–a 25% increase. The 14% taxes were included but also a resort fee of $30 + 14%!!! When questioned why there was a resort fee for services not rendered owing to Covid restrictions, the receptionist claimed that it covered free parking (of which there is no shortage), freedom to walk along the gardens (which you do anyway to get to your room), use of the heated pool, a half bottle of wine and three soft drinks in the minibar, WiFi, BUT no newspapers or exercise room. (Newspapers could have been provided by delivering them wrapped, like the bathrobes). All of these were included when it was Vintners Inn. Apparently changing the name to Vintners will cost you $35 for the same amenities. NOTE: Just because you call yourself a resort doesn’t make you one. To their credit and because we asked, we were allowed to check in at 2 pm.

    Quiet, beautiful oasis in Sonoma!
A wonderful stay over several days while in Sonoma wine country. They have some nice specials right now that should be taken advantage of. The grounds are stunning, even though the Bocce Courts and Asia are closed. Also their all day restaurant is closed. This did not stop us from having a great stay. Pool area is open and very quiet during the week. Walking thru the vineyards each morning is very cathartic; we hope you enjoy it as much as we did. The rooms are older, as this resort has been here for a long time. With that being said, they are still wonderful, particularly the bed! Nicely stocked mini bar also included with your stay. Our Roman tub was the bomb. We used it as much as possible. John Ash & Co. (see separate review) is part of the complex and should not be missed for either happy hour or a wonderful dinner experience. This resort is directly off Hwy 101, but we did not hear any noise while in our room. It is centrally located just north of Santa Rosa and is very convenient to wineries for visits and tastings. We highly recommend this establishment and hope you enjoy it as much as we did!

Our first visit to Santa Rosa stayed one night before heading up the coast. Very convenient to airport, lovely grounds, wonderful staff. Our room in one of the newer buildings was spacious and well appointed, and they accommodated our request for a first floor room. The main restaurant was closed (Monday night) but the menu in the bar was great as were the breakfasts - we will be happy to go back.

Very nice resort property. Room was spacious with a nice patio view of the vineyard. Food in the bar was good. However, if you are looking for top notch service to go along with the physical property, I suggest looking elsewhere. Staff was non engaging, did not go out of their way to “wow” you. Didn’t even ask how our stay was upon checking out.

We loved it! We had a lovely first floor room that looked out at the vineyard. Large bathroom and tasteful decor. Beautiful grounds and landscaping and even a walking path through the grape vines. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Our experience: We started off our day at the spa and enjoyed a couples massage. Both masseuses were great and the rest of the staff was incredibly friendly. The spa treatment also comes with a 2 hour window to enjoy other amenities such as the steam-room and relaxation room. We made full use of both. Upon check-in we were amazed at the view we had of the vineyard. It’s simply a must-see! We also visited John Ash and Co for happy hour. The choices on the menu were plenty and the prices reasonable. Although our stay was brief, Vintner’s Resort made it memorable and we can’t wait to return.

This stay was one we will never forget! From the moment we checked in, the front desk manager, Micah went above and beyond to insure we had the best room for our anniversary. While we were checking out the wine tasting in the lobby, He even ran to our room with a “happy anniversary” hand written note and a small gift which was such a nice touch when we made it to our room. We ventured over to the John Ash restaurant which was slammed! It has a fun, warm atmosphere. I highly recommend making reservations. Unfortunately, our stay wasn’t very long and the weather didn’t cooperate for walking the property or enjoying the spa, but the grounds were stunning…waking up to the peaceful vineyard was just surreal. You won’t regret staying here! I’m sure glad we did!

Our group was meeting with friends living in the Santa Rosa area and we ended up in the best location. The resort was beautiful in the spring with native California and Mediterranean plantings as well as vineyards all around. Since we weren't to spend too much time there for our 2 day stay, I took advantage of the prepaid 20% off for the least expensive room. We were upgraded just before our visit and our second floor room (no elevator) in the 300's with a balcony was quite spacious and comfortable. We had 2 lovely breakfasts in the mornings. We didn't have time to take advantage of the complimentary wine tasting at a local vineyard nor any of the resorts' amenities. Would suggest asking for a view over the vineyards. Indoors we couldn't hear the freeway, but could hear it when we went outside. The front desk staff were prompt, efficient and helpful. We had a delicious group dinner at John Ash (separately reviewed). And a private tasting at the local DeVera winery (which see).

It was one of the largest rooms I have ever stayed in and I had a view of the vineyard. Since it was March, nothing was in full bloom but that side is very quiet. Turn down service with cookies every night is a great touch. I didn't eat dinner at John Ash but I did attend happy hour. They have AN AMAZING VEGAN DESSERT!! Chocolate brownie with a vegan coconut ice cream. I could have eaten that everyday. I thanked the pastry chef for creating it for the menu. Two issues came up while I was there- I had a problem with the refrigerator in my room and the food went bad because the power in the refrigerator went out. They credited me the cost of my food once I told them what happened. The door to my room didn't fully close upon exiting and entering. I didn't realize it until the end of my stay but I let the front desk know once I checked out. The wine tasting they had in the lobby was also a great way to try local wines. I look forward to going back once everything is in bloom because I am sure it will be lovely.

What a beautiful resort. The room was large and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. Everyday we had new towels and the turndown service at night always left delicious cookies on the pillows. We ate breakfast in the restaurant and lite dinners in the bar area. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. We even took the 1+ mile walking path through the vineyard everyday. The staff went out of there way to make sure all was right. All in all a great location and a great place to stay.
